Experienced Cruiser Question.... Grand Cayman 7 Mile Beach

My DW (Cam) and I are cruising on the June 22 Magic (Western). We are planning, at least at this point, to spend some quality beach time on 7 mile beach in Grand Cayman after snorkeling with the Stingrays in Stingray City.

My question.... how do we go about using the beach and facilities at one of the hotels for the day? Do we simply take a taxi (or walk) there and ask to use the beach and facilities and pay at that time? How much does it cost for the afternoon? Can you recommend a particular hotel? Any and all information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My DW and I were there for a 10th anniversary cruise a few years back on Carnival.

We simply asked a taxi driver for the info and he took us to a hotel beach that had a daily rate of about $5.00 a person. I believe it may have been a couple dollars more for a chair rental.

It was very nice, but I am sure others will have info that will allow you to be in the driver seat rather than trusting the local taxi driver to do right by you.

We did the same thing in 1997 on another cruise line. I don't recall the name of the hotel, it was very small and nice. If I remember, the cruise line had a list of hotels giving priveledges to cruisers. Or you could find out which hotels the excursions use for their organized beach parties.
