Is it too cliche of me to say..it was magical???? Well, it was for us. I knew it would be. I never did a pre-trip report, because...well, I'm not a planner. Plus, every time I'd start one, I read someone else's pre-trip report and see how much I still had to do and...I panicked! :rotfl2: This trip forced me to become more of a planner than I've ever been. And you know...I kinda liked it. :goodvibes

Here's the cast: DH (1 trip to the world in the 70s) me (countless trips in 70's, 80's...but last trip was in the 90's), DD age 9 - 1st trip, DD age 4 -1st trip

We arrive on May 22nd at the CBR :thumbsup2 (I love this place!!!), and stayed through May 28. We had a dream on the first day in the MK! :wizard: And were named family of the day twice at 2 different restaurants at different parks during our stay. We also had a magic moment when we got snacks on our last day at MK. :hyper:

I'd love to share photos... but I'm not sure how... Just wanted to make start here and see if anyone is interested!

I have lots, and lots of opinions about things... Like which one was our favorite park and why. Which ride I'll ride again...which one I'll never ride again, and the 2 that I chickened out of, and now wish I hadn't. Why we loved the CBR and will stay there again, and again!
Why we recommend the Dining Plan, where we ate...(and where we wished we didn't)

Thanks you 2! :thumbsup2 Well, here it goes...
This was a much-needed trip for us. DH lost his job about this time last year, so we were happy to see 2007 behind us. We got back on our feet (by the Grace of God) and decided we had earned a REAL vacation this summer.

I have been dreaming about taking my girls to Disney...well since my 1st daughter was born, 9 years ago.

I booked trip in March and everything fell into place magically as it were by May. We decided on the CBR over ASMo because I wanted the extra room (square footage) and the 'tropical' get-a-way feeling. Also because of "SafetyMoms" positive reviews and updates.

We were not sorry we made that upgrade. However, now that I've done the World "big-time" I would settle for a Value resort.

Memorial Day is not a bad day to go to Disney. We spent all-day in the MK and it really wasn't crowded. The longest wait time we had was 40 minutes. (and it didn't seem like 40, more like 30)

We arrived on Thursday around 5:30 pm on May 22nd. We checked in and explored the CBR. The place is loaded with bunnies and ducks. My girls LOVED THAT!

Our first stop was The Contemporary Hotel and Chef Mickey's! I strongly recommend that being your first ADR on your arrival day. It just starts everything off right. Our CM (server) Chris was awesome...beyond our wildest expectations! (then again...isn't Disney just like that).http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc26/lrandall63/disney/CMChrisChefMickeys.jpg

The Buffet is incredible... and the celebrity sightings....well... please... they simply can't be beat! http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc26/lrandall63/disney/donaldcelebrateswithLinz.jpghttp://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc26/lrandall63/disney/plutothegirls2.jpg

This one is probably my favorite... Minnie, with my little Lindsay. She's never met a Disney Character in her life... and is sometimes very shy even with Santa...I could have asked for a more perfect photo than this....http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc26/lrandall63/disney/minnieLinz.jpg
