Hello! I am off to a really late start with my PJ, I only discovered these addicting boards about a week ago. DF and I have almost exactly two months until the big day.. so I'll do my best to catch up.

We met:
About two years ago.. we were both working at the same job, which we both didn't like. There was absolutely no immediate attraction with me, all I wanted as to stay single, and all he wanted was a relationship. I guess i'm not much of a fighter because it wasn't long until we had started dating.. which surprised everyone, including myself! A few months later we both quit that job.. and stayed together! He is the 100% opposite of what I thought my type was.

The engagement:
DF got a new job that required him to constantly travel for two months at a time. The first time he left was when we really knew we were in love. The second time he left, he was sent to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii! I was completely jealous.. until I found out the company would fly me out to see him for free!! Mom tagged along to ensure we wouldn't partake in "sinly activities" but we were having an amazing time. Our next to last day was our only day alone, so we decided to go in a shark cage and snorkel. (Amesome experience BTW) After that we ended up at some deserted beach on North Shore, we were just walking and WHAM I turn around and he was holding a Tiffany box, down on his knee! I fell in the sand, but it was sooo amazing. I don't have any pics of the engagement, we were all alone.. but these were from the same day.:dance3:

This was on top of the Diamond Head Volcano. Don't mind my deformed arm.. that was a long walk!

This was us at a Luau a few hours after the proposal.

Growing up, I had always wanted a Disney Wedding, but I never thought we could afford it. I was always the little girl glued to the monorail window as we passed the pavilion, and if Cindys coach was outside.. I know I hurt a few peoples ears!
My family's big on Disney, my first trip I was only 5 weeks old.. so seems perfect to do a Disney Wedding.
DF is 26 and before he met me, didn't even know Disney did weddings.. but being the nice guy that he is, he went along with it.. plus my parents are taking the bill..
We started planning in November of last year.. and are almost done with the planning, so I will do my best to catch up.

The wedding date is August 7th. At 5:00p.m.
The ceremony is at the Wedding pavilion.
The reception is at the WhiteHall Room and Patio at the GF.
And the dessert party is at Sago Cay Pointe at the GF.
Here is the View from SCP:

Yea, I have been in between SCP and the marina for a few months now. Ken said there were only a few differences. SCP gives you much more privacy, and is closer to the castle. The marina has better lighting, but you really don't want a ton of lights for the firworks. He also said that we would have a better chance of hearing the wishes music at SCP than at the marina, esp. with all the guests who will be gathered around Gasparillas.

I had a question about your DP at SCP. When we watched WISHES from there in May we couldn't hear the music at all. Are you having it piped in?

No, we are trying to cut down our budget, and when I talked to Ken he said it wasnt worth it. I would have liked to, but most people at our wedding won't miss it, because they have never been to Disney before. He also mentioned that we may be able to hear it from MK, but only if the winds blowing right and blah blah.. hopefully we get some sound, but I don't think i'll notice. Did you miss it at your DP? IS it worth the money?

Our DP is in January, but after going to the location with a small group of friends in early May to check it out, we all unanimously agreed that Howard and I are including the WISHES soundtrack in the budget. Many of our guests will never have seen WISHES before and we want them to hear the beautiful compilation of narration and music. I know many other brides have opted not to have the sound piped in, and their guests really enjoyed the event even without sound.

After that we are going on a Royal Caribbean Cruise from Sunday-Sunday. I don't remember the dates. Its a Western Caribbean cruise going to Jamaica, Haiti, Mexico, and Grand Cayman. Can't wait.. were doing all the zip lines we can find!
Somone had a link on here of a honeymoon sign with Mickey and Minnie that they put on the door or their cabin. Does anyone know where they came from??

Here's the favors DF and I have been working on....

I had him drill tiny holes in 50 plastic slippers so we could tie them onto the boxes....

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/carlydis020.jpg
And here is the finished product....

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/carlydis032.jpg
These are filled with all the personalized candies, bars and kisses, and a ton of those buttermint things.
We will also be doing welcome bag for each guest.

Does anyone know how to make the pics smaller on my posts? They keep posting huge.... = )

Here is a rough draft of the silk flowers that my sister is working on for the wedding. They still need a pretty good amount of work...

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/carlydis033.jpg

I really hate those green things she put all throught it.... looks like a fish aquarium to me....

And here is a BM and FG Mickey Pomander....

Carly -- Everything looks great! Your favors are so creative and clever! Your sister is very talented, but I am not a green "filler" person either, so I understand why you might not like the green part. If you like greens in there, maybe you could try some hydrangea? The Mickey flowers are wonderful! How sweet of your sister to help so much!

06-12-2008, 11:17 AM
Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't like the fillers. I really wanted a loose bouquet, but she made it her way. I'm not completely unhappy, it's just not what I had pictured. I talked to her the other day about it, so maybe we can fix it, we stil have almost two months.

Thank again!!

The mickey flowers are so great! I too want a looser bouquet (although I fall more and more in love with Lynn's bouquet everyday!) with no greenery! I think the colors are great though. The favors are fabulous! And the invitations are great too! I can't believe you ordered them through party city. I didn't even know they did custom invites.

jessesgirl-080708
06-12-2008, 08:19 PM
The cool thing is, we really didn't pay much for them at all. And it only took about a week for them to come in! They had a huge selection, and an entire notebook that was nothing but Disney! You should def. check it out if you're interested in Disney invites. Thanks for all the comments, I really think I might be the one pulling that greenery out! I just can't seem to settle with it!

Thanks again for the nice comments!

Thanks!! It was much to hard to try and fill the slipper with candy. DF and I had several failed attempts. It was much easier when we decided just to tie them on!

Did you ever make a decision between Cindy's coach and video? Can you believe how fast our weddings are coming?!!!

No!!!! I emailed DF a picture of the coach today to try and bribe him!! :rotfl:
we'll see.
My mom wanted the video... so I just left it. I cut a few things from the budget though so I am still gonna try and work it in! Maybe split the cost or something. He splurged on vaulted ceilings in our new house... so I told him I wanted to splurge on the coach!! lol.. he gets one, I get one!:dance3:

I cannot believe it is July!!! I got so used to saying "I have plenty of time.. the weddings not for a while" and now that I procrastinated, I have to much to do!!! Cannot believe it is almost here! I guess it will finally hit me on the wedding day!! Because it still doesn't feel real!

This is a Mickey tea light that me and my mom found at the Disney Outlet during our planning session trip! I'm not sure if its wedding decor..or just reception centerpieces right now.

I was thinking of setting them on the high boy cocktail tables outside on the balcony of whitehall.. i'm not sure though!

I went to have my dress fitted yesterday.. and was extremely worried about how much I was going to get charged. I priced everything through Alfred Angelo and they wanted about $350. I couldn't believe it, they wanted almost the amount of my dress!

I ended up getting the top of my dress taken in
got the train bustled
added toole to my slip
and removed the straps

All For $55!!!

I could not believe it! And this woman does amazing work! Anyone in Jacksonville who needs alterations..PM me!!!

Pics of our information letters that will go in the mail tomorrow.
This was a last minute decision, but I am sure I will be glad I did.
Three different wedding guests called to ask me if they could wear shorts and flip flops, or was this an "actual" wedding they had to get dressed up for!!

Got me worried!

So I included directions and a map, a schedule of the two days, and any extra info..including the attire!!!!

Haha..they all think we are just going to walk into the park say "I do" and party! Even people who have been to Disney with us!! The letters in their welcome bags have tons of pics of Disney on them, but I didn't think to include it on these.

PM me your email adress and I will send it to you as an attachment. We just used word, and made the entire thing up!

I used the iron on transfers for all of them except the first one (it was a gift) and the just married one(VS) So, to answer your questions, the only shirts I didn't mess up on were the thinner ones. My FFIL and FG shirts were terrible. Both of them were thicker material, and they both have mess ups on them.

Around Christmas time, just after we booked our wedding date.. I started plotting what I wanted to do for my wedding party. I decided to make ressies for most of them.. esp. my mom and sister. My sister had been trying to get into Le Cellier in Canada for her past two anniversaries.. So I counted EXACTLY 180 days in advance.. woke up early, and called Disney to make reservations. No problem.. got my sister and her husband into Canada, and decided to make my parents a reservation at Victoria and Albert's. Along with that, I also paid for everything!

So..Yesterday, exactly ONE WEEK before we leave for Disney, and I get to tell them what I did, Victoria and Albert's calls my MOMS voicemail and leaves this looong detailed message.. even spelling out there names! I was soo mad. When I made the reservations I stressed to the CM that this was a BIG surprise and to call my number, not my parents. ( I gave them moms number in case something came up right before the dinner.. because I will be on a cruise and have no way to contact her!) I know now that I shouldn't have.

All together I have about 400$ in gift cards for the two of them.. kept it a secret from my snoopy mother for over five months... and now its ruined!!!
I am sooo mad!!! I was so excited to give her her card at the rehearsal dinner, and to see the look on her face. And yesterday happened to be the day that I was writing all her dinner info in her card!!

Thanks! I can't play it off. Mom already knew I had made her a ressie, she just didn't know where. My sister and I made her think she was going to the California Grill. Oh well, now I don't have to worry about sneaking her "fancy" dinenr outfit down to Orlando without her knowing!

Nah, she knew she was going somewhere.. then she had this goofy smirk on her face when I got home from work, as she replayed the message for me! Well, she doesn't know what time!lol.. I think my sister knows where she is going. Le Cellier is the one she has been trying to get into... so I am pretty sure she knows!

I am really sad for you that Disney messed up and called your parents. I really feel that you should call and complain and tell them how you told them to note the system not to call your parents. I really feel like they need to know they did wrong on their part, esp. since its your wedding and all too. Maybe they will comp you in some way as a "we're sorry" type of deal.

I got Cindys Coach!!!!!!!

Yep, I walked out of the Grand after pictures and there it was!!! I cried!
My mom had been planning to surprise me for a while! And she certainly did! I spent the ride over to the pavilion teaching my flower girl the princess wave.. it was so amazing! People were definately taking tons of pics of us!!

Lots of pics coming...i'm here in the contemporary right now.. our second day here and I just realized the internet access is free!!! Everything is going good!

We got upgraded to a king size bed.. which is def nice! and a bottle of champagne was delivered yesterday! Except it said happy anniversary? We drank it anyways! Can't wait to get back and start a TR. Our photographer got some great shots!!

And.... DH (awww) Cried through his entire vows.. it was so cute!

Thanks girls! It was certainly perfect!

And YES! My sister did ALL my floral except the boutonnieres and mother corsages! She did a great job. The pomanders were very easy! Very easy to make yourself! I'd say it was the easiest part of all the floral we did..and we did alot!

Disney originally quoted us at 125$ for a basic (very simple) small mickey pomander for the flower girl only.. so they are pricey! The ones we made for my BM's were larger than the one my flower girl carried.. so consider making them yourselves! Trust me..it's very easy!

Thanks again girls!!!
Lots more to come!!!

Thanks! Yes, we provided the trees. I wasn't to stuck on the idea, but we bought real ones and added a stem of flowers going up so that way when we move into our house we can plant them. And it won't be a total waste.

Hey Carly,
You looked so beautiful! We were planning on going to the GF that morning to see you, but DH FIL passed away that morning, so we kind of laid low for a little while. BUT, we stayed at the Poly and had a view of the WP so I saw you and your DH taking pictures! Then we took the monorail to dinner and passed the Whitehall Patio and saw your guests! Then we saw Cindy's Coach leaving the GF! I was like OMG she must have gotten the coach!!!!

AWW! I missed you that day! Sorry to hear about you FIL I hope everyone is doing ok....

I was hoping you were somewhere around! At one point the monorail stopped right over Whitehall and we were waving at it! To bad that wasnt you!
And The coach was totally an OMG moment! The only real part of the entire day that I cried was when I saw the coach sitting outside!

You looked great too!! Can't wait to see more of your pictures.. I got to get started on my TR.. I was thinking about it laying in bed last night..lol... It has taken over my life!:lmao:

Carly and Jesse's Wedding Trip Report- August 7th 2008
Wedding Pavilion, Whitehall Room and Patio, Sago Cay Pointe

We had such an amazing time. There really is something in the air at Disney that just makes life perfect! I wish I could find some and bring that feeling home with me!:hippie:

Our wedding was even more beautiful than I ever imagined, and when I first saw Cindys Coach well, that feeling was just indescibable! Worth every single penny! I also loved our reception, our dj, our food, the fireworks.. it was all just incredible.

Though nothing really is perfect, the good stuff completely outweighed the few problems that we did have! Disney is the way to go!

Heres goes nothing....

Ken Weaver and Linda Rhodes from DFTW... A++ By far!
Ken was amazing to work with, and seemed more concerned with my relaxing than anything else. He took care of everything for us. Though some things did go wrong(or just no like I had pictured them).. nothing was left out or not taken care of. His assistant Linda was also wonderful. She replied to my emails faster than anyone else, and always gave me tons of information when I had questions. Sometimes she even answered my questions before I could ask them to her! Yay for Ken! He was also a retired florist.. so he really knew what he was doing! I completely recommend him to anyone!!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0055.jpg
Here he is hard at work
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0242.jpg

Our Disney DJ Scott Messina- A++++++++++
Best thing we had the entire day. Scott took the few requetsI had and really carried them out! He found ways to involve everyone and kept the entire thing really fun! I'm so glad we decided to go with a DJ! He even made a came with our "kissing bells" to involve all the couples in the room having to confess their love for eachother! It was adorable.. and he was amazing! I really, really recommend him! Sweetest guy ever!

Our Wedding Photographer Joe Duncan A- (So far)
We haven't seen our pictures yet.. so I am grading before I see the outcome. He was good.. but didn't really get to creative. He didn't remember anything from our phone conference, but took any pictures that we requested. My only real complaint on him was that every felt way to rushed. We went straight out of our ceremony to picture point! We never even got a second to ourselves! I missed that moment! We also had Michael there taking shots along with Joe.. and I loved him. If he got a good shot.. he showed me. I can't wait to see some of them. Michael ( dont know last name) was way creative and really balanced our photos!

MK Photographer Ty Boyce A
We ended with Ty without requesting him. He was really nice, and talked to us the entire time. He was very creative and I think we got some great shots. I did have two shots I wanted but didn't get.. hopefully our others make up for the lost. I would definately recommend him.. he was perky at 4:45 A.M!

Laura Kidd A
We had a huge mix up with our Floral and ended up going with Disney for our boutonneires and corsages. She was out of town, so I worked with the other two girls, and ended up getting what we wanted. We also had twenty cylinders lining the patio of Whitehall with LED lights in them. The boutonnieres were great.. but they used the spray roses in the my Moms corsage and It wasnt to pretty. But I didnt request anything.. so thats not there fault! At our PS in February she was wonderful.. at that point we weren't sure what we were doing at Floral and she still went over everything. She really loves her job, and is good at what she does! I really liked her!
The corsage actually looks great in this shot!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/100_8353.jpg
And so does my sisters belly!!

Disney Videography- A+
Again... without the outcome I'll give them an A+. I was able to watch a clip of our ceremony and loved it! Our videographer was Mike.. and he was everyone! Sometimes I don't know how he got into those positions!

Ana from Beaute Speciale B :scared1:
I know, I know. Ana was great.. I just had a slighty bad experience with her. I was really worried we would run out of time, and she showed up twenty minutes late. So we had about an hour and a half for four girls hair. She showed up with Marabelle(i think.. her name was something belle) And they went right to work. Mom was first and really quick. Then they started on my bridesmaid and sister. Seemed like they took forever, straightening, curling, then pulling it up. By the time Ana started on me, we were running really late. Joe showed up to take pictures and we were no where near being ready. In the end.. I had about twenty minutes to get dressed and do my make-up. We pulled through.. but that was definately my biggest complaint from the entire day.
Altough.. when she came for our MK shoot she was Wonderful. I guess my wedding was just a busy day for her. I even felt like she did a better job on my hair the second time!
Moms hair was my fav!

Mickey and Minnie A++++
Best wedding guests ever! They even signed our guest book! They broke up our first dance, helped us cut the cake, danced with guests, and took tons of pictures! The best part was the reaction on the guests faces when Mickey and Minnie walked out in our first dance!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/carlyswedding157.jpg

Major Domo A+++++++
Also a really great addition! He tried my "glass" slipper on everyones foot.. and then eventually fit it to mine at the ceremony! It was wonderful.. and a great surprise for our woman guests.
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/100_8303.jpg

Cindy's Coach A++++
Like I said before.. made my entire day PERFECT!!! When I made it outisde to the coach there were people everywhere taking pictures. On the ride to the pavilion people were hanging out of car windows to get out picture! I felt amazing and had the best time.. even though it only lasted a few minutes!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/100_8373-1.jpg

Whispering Canyon A++++++
Best laid back rehearsal dinner I could have asked for!! The waiters really put time into our group. They told the best man he would have to ride the stick pony sining happy birthday to his self around the restaraunt, and if he did it bad he was going to be sent to the lobby. Well.. he took off screaming and went straight into the lobby singing "Happy Birthday To Me" and no.. it was not his birthday! The food was great, the waiters were wonderful, and the food was even better!
Pics coming soon-I have a ton, but there on my sis's camera!

Cinderellas Royal Table B-
The atmosphere is really what you pay for here! The food was ok.. I had the salmon.. it was good but not worth $50! This was my gift from my sister since we were in Orlando before anyone else! It was a nice surprise and I am so glad we went, but I am not in a hurry to get back!

Akershus Norway Princess Storybook Breakfast C-
Yep... I drug DH to a princess breakfast the morning of our MK shoot!
The princesses were cool, but most of them skipped our table because there were no kids! I was mad! We had Mulan, Snow White, Mary Poppins, and Sleeping Beauty. Belle was at front taking pics. The food here however sucked! It was almost 60 dollars for it too! Go for the experience.. not the food! All we really ate was fruit because the family style dinner was soo dry!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0082.jpg

California Grill A++++
This was second trip here.. and I loved it. I had a grilled Kona Kampache and goat cheese ravioli! Loved it! DH had the pork and a chicken and bacon flatbread! The flatbread was soo good! We also had Mickey Confetti on our table when we got there!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0285.jpg
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0284.jpg

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0279.jpg

Coral Reef A
I expected this experience to be better. The food was good, the service was good, but nothing was amazing. I had the Mahi Mahi and DH had pork again! He loved his, and I loved mine! We also got to each pick a free dessert, but they made us both sick. I had a Baileys and Jack Daniels Mousse and He had the warm chocolate cake.. something just made us both naseous in the sweets! About an hour later DH downed a double bacon cheeseburger to feel better.. I don't know how he did it!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0054.jpg

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0057.jpg

Chef Mickeys A++
The food was great and all the characters were soo friendly. We had a 7:45 ressie the morning of the wedding and had a great time. Every time the characters found out it was my wedding day their reactions were so funny!!

Contemporary Resort A+
Even with all the construstion I LOVE this resort. We got upgraded to a King size bed.. and got a free bottle of champagne. It was great. We woke up every morning to the sound of Jackhammers on the fourth floor.. but I couldn't be mad when we had such a great view from our room!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0258.jpg
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0262.jpg
Contemporary Room Service A+
It was soo good and soo fast. I had mickey waffles and DH had pancakes! The food was soo good.. and it was a great way to relax and eat carbs the morning after the wedding!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0261.jpg

Grand Floridian Resort A+
Me and my sister shared a room at the GF the night before the wedding and loved it. They put us in a handicap room so we would have more room in the bathroom the next day,but we had to check out to early to use it. And our room was really nice, there were hidden mickeys everywhere!
A bad shot.. but this is our room
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0252.jpg

Coronado Springs B
I will admit its a nice resort.. im just tired of it. If my mom books us a trip.. thats where we are going to stay. Me and my sister spent our first night at Disney here and the lake is beautiful at night time! But, the security gate here was the hardest to get through the entire trip!

actually...we had to beg to get it.:flower3: Travel Channel aired a special that had a Disney Wedding on it.. and thats where the idea came from! But Ken, my planner, seemed upset to know that we had found this! So, I don't know if they will or will not keep doing it? Day One-Leaving Day, Welcome bags, and Cinderella's Royal Table

SO.. Since I hadn't slept hardly at all the night before we left ( or basically the entire month before we left) I woke about 4:30 A.M. to pack the car and get ready to go. :woohoo:

At the last minute I realized I had forgotten to add tags to Welcome bags, re-wrapped my bouquet for the fourth time, loaded half the car-then unloaded it because I forgot about the chocolates, and colored my hair.:laundy:

It was the busiest morning ever!
My mom was home most of the morning because her therapy wasn't until later that morning..so she went and got me some Hardee's cinnamon raisin bicuits...I LOVE those!!

After that I attempted to re-color my hair back to its natural color...while at the same time not ruining my nails that I had just gotten done the night before.. it was successful.but took forever. Because I had procrastinated so much.. I was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off by this point. I hadn't even finished packing!

Finally... Mom had left for therapy...and it was close enough to leaving time that I could load all the stuff into my car. I had to put the chocolate favors on the bottom, because the box they were in wouldn't fit any other way.. so I re-arranged my car about 10 times..by the time I got in my car, I realized I had forgotten to move my seat back and it was so packed behind me, that it wouldn't re-adjust!
That was the straightest I have ever sat in my seat!
While I was running in and out of the house to grab stuff to load the car with, my two doggies just sat and watched right at the front door..I think they knew I was leaving them!

Here's my car when I finished cramming it; my poor little Tc barely made it!

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0209.jpg

And here's what we did to my back window... I wrote it, then mom tried to trace it to make it darker...but I think she made it look like a first grader got ahold of my back window...either way it was still pretty fun!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0204.jpg
And my antenna topper that my mom has had for about 8 years! She bought them in Disney when my sister got married.. but bought one for me and kept it in her closet until I got married..it's a good thing she did, because I haven't seen them in the stores since she bought them!:cool1:

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0205.jpg
About half way down we stopped at Chick-fil-A,( I can't eat anywhere else if I am with my sister!)
I walked in with my "almost married" button and my Disney Bride shirt.. and I think the entire restaraunt congratulated me...
All the rest of the way.. trucks kept honking! It was funny.. because it scared us everytime!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0212.jpg
And the sign we all see driving down 1-4 and laugh..... :LOLLOL:
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0210.jpg
And the sign we all love!!!!!!:cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0211.jpg
I think I have about 50 different shots of this sign!
Right after we got into property a car passed us laying on the horn.. so I thought it was someone we knew.. There were about four people hanging out of the windows waving! It was pretty surprising! They all looked so happy for me!
After that we checked into our one night at the Coronado Springs, rested for about five minutes, and got right to work on our welcome bags!
Here's our room at the Coronado
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0214.jpg
And here's what it looked like when got the welcome bag stuff spread out!

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0215.jpg
And my sister...doesn't she look so happy to be helping me.
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0217.jpg
And the finished product...

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0221.jpg
Here's what was in our bags::thumbsup2
A complete list of what we have:
A small bag of kleenex
a personal fan
germ-x wipes
Small bags of munchies
Lay's cracker crisps
pistachios
honey and oat bars
rice krispies
labeled bottled water
A welcome letter
mapquest directions
door hangers
Strawberry Fig Newtons

The only place we had trouble dropping off bags at was the Coronado. They seemed to have to clue what to do with the bags. And they had the most.
GF forgot to give my mom hers.. but we called the front and it was delivered. As far as I know, everyone else got their bags.

Up Next: Cinderella's Royal Table...
I have to rob my sister of her camera this weekend! She's got all those!:sad2:

Thank you for sharing the reviews; especially on the restaurants. I was curious how the princess meal was and it's good to hear an honest review.

The Minnie topper is so cute. My mom had a few things that she had bought for our wedding that she's had hidden away for years. So, did your sister get married at the World too?

Love the shots assembling the Welcome Bags. Even though it took a long time, this was one of my favorite things during the preparations the last few days before the wedding!

No, unfortunately my sister didn't get married at Disney.. I felt a little bad for her, but she really helped me through everything..heck..she did all our flowers! She was soo wonderful. I ended up giving her a father/daughter dance at our reception. She was married in our church and didn't get the opportunity to dance with our dad..she was soo surprised! But they had to dance sideways since she's 8 months preggo! It was adorable! I also made her ressies at Le Cellier..which she said was wonderful! So if I could reivew that I would.. she LOVED it!

Cinderella's Royal Table- Girls Night Out!

After we finished our welcome bags we went straight for the MK! I was supposed to be surprised at where we were going to eat ( my sisters doings) but as soon as we got on the bus to the MK I knew! I had been wanting to eat for a while.. but I save all the good restaraunts for special occasions!

We were both starving.. and ready for bed by the time we got there.. but we still had a good time.. here's the photo album that we got with the meal..
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0210-1.jpg
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0208.jpg
And in this picture I think we look like we are doing a victory chant instead of the dainty princess stuff..this was pre-food!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0209-1.jpg

We both had the castle salad, then I had the salmon and my sister had the prime rib. For dessert we both had the chocolate. It was a chocolate muffin filled with cream cheese.. totally worth going back for!
I really wanna go to CRT for breakfast!

After dinner we stayed for firewors then headed back to our room at the Coronado and crashed!

Day Two- Rehearsal Day!
August 6th, 2008

We rolled out of bed and headed to GF.. my parents were coming down that day, and most everyone else!
On the way over, my sister starting practicing her solo for the wedding, and I completely missed our turn. Somehow we ended up at a back entrance to EPCOT.. but we finally made it to the GF.
We checked in, but we were way to early! So we headed to Gasparillas!
The Italian meat sandwich..so good!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0223.jpg
We ran into one of my BM's right after this.. then begged the front deck to let us check in early.. which they eventually did.

This was the sign on the Daily event board! I was so exciting to see it, a lady stopped to congratulate me.. it was exciting!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/IMG_0222.jpg

We ended up in a really big room. They gave us a handicap room right next to the elevator since the bathrooms in these rooms are huge! There was so much room..but we didnt have a bath! And we ended up having to check out before it was time to get ready.. so we got ready in my moms room down the hall anyways! I should have a taken of picture of the counter in this bathroom, it was pretty nice of them! And would have been really helpful the next day!

Right after me and my sister got into our room, my parents showed up.
(* when we checked in, they were trying to give us conjoining rooms with my parents, but it wouldn't work out because my parents had been upgraded to theme park view. They told us this when we checked in, and jokingly, me and my sister told the CM we wanted to take credit for it)
Well, my shows up practically in tears over what we had done.. she was so excited that we had done this for her.. and neither one of us had the heart to tell her we didn't!:scared1: The scary thing is..a completely different CM checked me in... so I guess they had it in the system.. Mom quoted the CM saying she was "upgraded compliments of the bride".. it was pretty funny...to this day she still doesn't know we didn't do it!

Rehearsal Dinner!!!
Whispering Canyon Cafe @ the Wilderness Lodge
August 6th, 2008; 5:00 p.m.

All in all I think this was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. I had never met DH's mom,or grandmother, neither had my parents.. our parent's had never met. So needless to say, I expected this to be a little tense.
My FIL agreed to pay for our dinner.. so we started talking about options.. at first we were going to go with Cape May, then Ohana's...but he didn't like any of there menus.. so as soon as he saw BBQ, he agreed!
At first, I was a little worried..because I know this restaraunt and I thought it would be really inappropriate, but with the group of people I had...it was absolutely perfect!
Right after the got there.. the waiter went directly to picking on us..but she was really good about it. She pretended as though she was mad at me for no making DH a "Groom" sash, since all the girls had one.. Well about 10 minutes later she comes back with a "Groom" sash made up of Mickey Stickers...and those huge handmade paper hats!

Here's my favorite picture from the night! A summary of the Whispering Canyon...NEVER order ketchup!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/P8060009_1.jpg
We knew better than to order it..but the other table decided to order it for us... there was so much ketchup...eventually we also payed them back!

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/P8060008_1.jpg
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/P8060007_1.jpg

The food was good..and the service was even better! With so much going on..it was the best way for us to unwind and enjoy the company without being so fancy! It really felt like everyone had a great time.. even our minister got along with Dh's groomsmen! And they are total opposites!

A little later into dinner.. our waiter calls us up to the front..at this point I just knew we were going to have to ride the stick pony.. and I paniced! We were standing at the front of the restaraunt and the waiter goes to yelling! She announced that we were getting married tomorrow, and the entire restaraunt cheered! It was pretty nice.. then she says that we have to practice our wedding kiss.
I thought "ok" not so bad...wrong! her countdown went like this..
10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,3,3,3,3...3,3..3,3,
It never ended until we finally just couldn't stop laughing..it was pretty funny!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/P8060011_1.jpg

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/P8060012_1.jpg

So we headed back to our table to hand out our cupcakes...
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/P8060010_1.jpg

About half way through I hear the Best man, Cliff, complaining about restaraunts that sing "Happy Birthday" all the time...
Well.. the waiter grabbed him.. and called him right to the front of the restaraunt! She started to announce that it was his birthday..which we thought was the big joke! Then, she hands him the stick pony and tells him he has to ride around the entire restaraunt... while singing "Happy Birthday To me" and if he wasn't loud enough.. she was going to send him into the lobby to sing for everyone!
Well before we knew it, Cliff took off running through tables not singing.. but SCREAMING "happy birthday to me" then runs out into the lobby (still screaming), makes a big circle, then comes running back in to our table.. the look on the people's faces who were sitting in the lobby was priceless!
I was laughing so hard I think I stopped breathing! It was hysterical!

After dinner we handed out our gifts to our wedding party..
I gave my mom a gift card, and a ressie to Victoria and Alberts for her and my dad.
I gave my sister a gift card and made her a ressie at Le Cellier.
I gave my bridesmaid a Mickey Chef hat ( she's a culinary student)
and I gave my "bridesman" a mickey shirt and a Disney gift card...

FIL was the funniest.. I gave him a Disney card as a thank you for our dinner... and I made him a shirt that said " I love my Daughter in Law" He laughed to hard!
I think he has worn that shirt every other day..it is too funny!
here's my mom when she prentended like she was surprised by her gift...stinkin V&A left a message on her phone the previous week!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/P8060014_1.jpg

Our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and MK shoot all posted to the Disney photography site!
There's a whole lot of pics..and it takes forever to go through them all. The first set is the close-ups and the second are the normal shots..so if you want..skip the first half of the ceremony and reception, in my opinion the second set is better...

Oh, my goodness, Carly!! I haven't gotten to the reception pictures yet but just had to jump on here real quick to say your pictures are gorgeous and have totally restored my faith in DPS. Do you remember who your photographer was? Did the same photographer do the MK shoot and the rest of the day, too? My favorites are you and Jesse on the bench outside the WP with the door open and the castle in the window behind you and the closeup of you at the end of the ceremony set. You were just an absolutely stunning bride and your entire wedding party looked great. Your sister's floral creations are so vibrant and gorgeous and professional looking in the pictures. :faint: Thank you so much for sharing!

My favorites are the Castle one in B/W where you two are holding hands and just the lights are color. Looks very romantic. And the ones overhead of you by the piano should be in a magazine!

You can tell the photographer must've been totally ga-ga over you! So many good shots.

Thank you soo much. I love the pics on the bench.. and our photographers certainly did too! I think we sat there for a half an hour! We had such a beautiful day in the middle of all that terrible weather! It was soo great!
By the way...all of photographers were different.
We had an older guy at the rehearsal dinner, but I can't remember his name.
At the wedding we had Joe Duncan and Mike.
Then Ty Boyce did our MK shoot.
I didn't request any of them..thats just who we ended up with! And my sister said thank you about the flowers! They did turn out really great!

Mike and Joe worked so good together, and if one thought they could get a better shot than the other.. they took of running to get it! Thats what happened at the piano.. joe was downstairs with me and Mike ran up the stairs to get my overhead with the reflection!:woohoo: I liked them.

Carly - All of your pictures are beautiful! You must be so happy with them :thumbsup2.

I noticed that you had Mickey and Minnie in their purple outfits. Did you by any chance request that? My colors are purple and my planner requested to have M&M in their purple outfits, but she told me it was not guaranteed.

Ok, so I just spent like an hour looking at your pictures! They were soooo good! :thumbsup2 I had heard very bad things about DPS, but you just made me a believer! I actually went with outside services (Damon Tucci Studios) because I had heard such aweful things, but your pictures are beautiful. I especially loved the ones of you on the bench and the ones where they had you in the pose where your honey is dipping you....so romantic. It will be so hard to choose! Thank you for sharing them!

I was able to make it through all your shots; DPS did a great job!

At your rehearsal dinner was your Cinderella cake one of the arrangements with cupcakes? It kind of looked that way.

Your sister did a great job on the flowers; they were so unique. I'm sure Disney must have been amazed at her handiwork.

I loved the way you incorporated the quotes on the tables. There were some really pretty shots with the fireworks. I love how you can still see the castle in them too. Do you know if the castle was added to your photos from the ceremony? I know I've heard that for videos, etc. the different photographers and videographers add it in. Your shots are some of the best that I have seen so far!

You have some really pretty pictures inside the castle too at your MK shoot. I love the angle of some of your shots on the carousel too.

I can't wait to hear all about your day!

Thank you so much.. I think my feelings are still mixed on the MK shoot.. some of them are really nice though...

And thanks for all the comments.. I loved the quotes on the tables.. and so did everyone at the wedding.
And our photographers also were impressed at how clear the castle was coming out that day! He was constantly showing me the pictures after he took them. We were very lucky to have such a beautiful day. It was so clear.. so I think thats how the pictures came out so clear. It was wonderful...Though I'm sure they could have gone and added a little, I am pretty sure that from the few I saw that thats the view we had!

And yes, that was a very melted cupcake cake from publix. It had already melted some before we picked it up, but by the time we got to the WL, it had turned into that big mess! But it still tasted good!

Thanks again!

Wedding Rehearsal

We started the rehearsal after dinner at about 7:00. We ended up being switched around a few times but ended up in a ballroom at the GF. (I think he said there was a wedding in the pavilion that night)
Anyways.. it was pretty difficult to practice the processionl and recessional with no stairs.. no one seemed to understand that the wedding wasn't going to be in a tiny room!
I think in all it left everyone a little more confused than they were before..but everything went well the next day, and thats all that matters!

my mom took about a hundred pics of the rehearsal.. so I'll post a few..

After rehearsal all the boys headed over to Disney Quest while me and my sister headed back to our room at the GF to start steaming dresses ( I was super jealous!)
Then my BM drops her dress off for us to do because she was heading over the DHS with her boyfriend..so needless-to-say we got into it! But it actually made the next day go much smoother!

Carly,
That stinks that you didn't get to practice at the WP, but look at the bright side...you had the most beautiful day for your wedding. I had the opposite...got to practice at the WP on a beautiful day and my wedding got rained out and we had to move my outdoor reception inside. :sad2: The bridezille shot is awesome...I think we all have a few of those!
I would have killed anyone that expected me to steam their dress for them! I hired someone to come and do it all for us because I knew I would end up steaming them all like you if I didn't! More power to you girl...you are a stronger woman than I!

haha.. i guess i just held it in to long. This was also coming from the BM who "forgot" about my bridal shower and was magically gone to Valdosta with her BF.. yeah right!!! We decided to steam our own to save money,(my mom already had a steamer) and originally all of us girls were going to share a room.. but due to the circumstances me and my sis kicked her out..which caused a little to much trouble! But like I said.. it made the wedding day much better, and much less awkward! So I am glad I did it!

And, I wasn't to worried about the rehearsal.. I just wanted to make it to the wedding day!! Which we did! Sorry about your reception! That really stinks! I was way too worried about weather because it had rained for nearly two weeks solid leading up to mine! Luckily, we had beautiful weather!

Thank you so much!!

The Wedding Day!!!

So, the day we had waited for was finally here. Me and my sister ended up sleeping much better than I thought we would. (at least after we split a huge brownie from gasparillas at about midnight the night before!)

I set a wake up call for 7:00a.m. since we had an ADR at Chef Mickeys at 7:45a.m

My phone went off at about 6:30, one of my BM's didn't know what time we were meeting. So i tried to go back to sleep, but it was not happening. I was WIDE awake!!!

The night before, after the rehearsal, me and DH exchanged our gifts, but decided to wait until our wedding day to open them.. well he handed me and unwrapped Tiffany box, so I knew there was something good in the box.. and I was dying to get in it!
I waited about 2 seconds after the lights went back off.. to flip them back on and rip the box open..
He gave me two different cards (one with a coach on it.. it was his way of getting if for me.. he was clueless that my mom had already done so!) and the other was a Tiffany card.. both of which were really sweet!
Here's the pictures my sis took...
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/P8070015_1.jpg
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/P8070016_1.jpg
And then I untied the box and found my earrings! I was soo shocked. He knew I wanted a set of pearl earrings, but I hadn't shown him anything.. I think he did pretty good being all by himself!
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/P8070017_1.jpg
And it's a good thing he did, because I had forgotten all about bringing earrings down to wear to the wedding!

The wake up call went off... and it was Stitch! Not that I have anything against him.. he just wasn't what I expected.. and it was way to early to hear his voice.. all I remember was Mickey coming on the line and saying "sorry" then the phone clicked! It was a little strange.. or maybe I just haven't had a wake up call in a while!

After that we got ready.. rode the monorail around, and headed to Chef Mickeys!

Well I did - and I loved it!
Did you ever get to find out who on ebay you bought them from?

The seller was mermaid ink...
I found the clear ones this morning....
http://cgi.ebay.com/MICKEY-MOUSE-Clear-RHINESTONE-Austri-Crystal-BROOCH-PIN_W0QQitemZ260282930091QQihZ016QQcategoryZ50770Q QrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp163 8Q2em118Q2el1247

I emailed her and asked her questions about them, and told her I wanted more than one, so if nothing has changed, she should have more colors.. some just arent listed.
When I bought them they were $9.99 but they are listed on the buy it now for $14.99.. just email her.. tell her what you want. I had to ask her about my blue one because it wasn't listed!

I have been reading and loving your report. Your pictures came out great. We just booked the MK shoot and requested Ty - it is scheduled for 5:00am and sunrise is not until 6:45 so we will probably get all night time shots.

Love the tshirts you made and love the first one you said you got as a gift. Any idea where they got it - I would love that one.

Your dress was just beautiful and I love the color combo for your girls and your sister did an amazing job on your flowers.

In your pictures I noticed your programs and they came out great. I was thinking of making the Mickey head ones but I don't think will have enough time and I was wondering where you got those. I also love the quotes - and might incorporate this idea into my wedding. Instead of individual ones like you did - and I love the way you put them on the bells - I might just put one on each of our table number cards.

Looking forward to reading more.

Linda
