Situation: We have a reservation for a 1 bedroom and a studio for one week at SSR. Would like to be in a 2 bedroom.

Question 1: Can they change this reservation to a 2 bedroom since it is basically the same thing? (would save us 50 points)

Question 2: There are a couple days spread out throughout the week where there is a 2 bedroom available. If I reserved the two bedroom for those dates canceled the 1 bedroom and studio for the same dates, --- What are the chances our rooms would be connected and we wouldn't have to move. (would save us 20 points)

thanks

Boy, you are asking for a lot. :) You can't change, you have to cancel and rebook if available.

The chance of connected rooms are slim if not impossible.

I would not cancel anything. You should waitlist for a 2 BR lockoff for the entire trip. That would guarantee you a 1BR and studio connected. Just be careful that you cancel the WL before 31 days or your remaining points will go into holding.

Let me ask this question a different way.

My understanding is that a 2 bedroom lock-off is a 1 bedroom and studio combined. What would keep member services from taking my reservation for a 1 bedroom and a studio and converting it to a 2 bedroom reservation.

Does that make sense?

thanks

Unfortunately it is not that simple. There are so many studios, 1-bedrooms, and 2-bedrooms slotted for each day, week, season, etc. So just because a studio and 1-bedroom are open does not mean there is a 2-bedroom open. I know it can be confusing. But MS can not combine rooms to make another room catagory. The point allotments for each season would be in a mess pretty darn quick. I hope that makes sense. I agree that you should get on the waitlist.

Let me answer a different way. MS can take your 1 bedroom and a studio reservation, cancel it, and and make you a 2 bedroom reservation if there are 2 bedrooms available. Also the 1 bedroom and a studio could physically be down or across the hall from each other.
