I was interested in doing the Career start program and learned that your rent and utilities are paid out of your check. I have a $250 car note each month and was wondering if you need to pay a extra bill are you allowed to work more than your supposed to.It would really help in deciding if this program is right for me!

you can certainly request to work more OT.. or you can pick up shifts even in other parks, provided you are trained in that role

Sure. With the current rent rates, rent (which is inclusive of all your utilities and furnishings for your apartment) is currently around $90 a week average. This year's base pay rate is $6.79, so you can do the math and figure out the details from there. An average paycheck for me last year was around $130/week, clear of rent and taxes for about 40 hours of work. A good pay check with a number of job-based premiums (trainer/general teller) and overtime/double time was around $330 clear, at 55 hours a week.
Program participants can pick up hours as long as they're trained, and they are eligible for over time (anything worked over eight hours a day or anything over forty hours a week).
Do keep in mind that not all areas have shifts available to pick up, but there's almost always QSR shifts available somewhere on property via the Extra Hours Hotline.
