As I was looking at the picture threads yesterday, I was thinking that there should be one for the beautiful flowers and landscaping at WDW and then this morning, LO and BEHOLD, here it is!!

Thanks for the link. I love the flowers and landscape at WDW and this is a great way to celebrate them!!!

I have noticed something! Although WDW has many many roses spread around, I am amazed at how many orchids there are! They are really so beautiful. I expect to find a few at the Poly, and maybe the AK, but there are alot of orchids everywhere now. I love seeing them and when I go in August, I am going to look for some to post here!

Yellow Stitch, your pictures are stunning!!! Can you tell me where you found the yellow rose and the orchids? Cannot get enough of these pictures!

Thanks so Disgram! The orchids were at the Polynesian and the roses were from the garden near Cinderella Castle. And so is this picture, with Tomorrowland in the background.

I agree - the colours are amazing. I haven't the slightest idea what it is called, but it is so pretty it almost looked fake or photoshopped.

Beautiful pictures, EVERYONE!

Here is what I did with some of my pictures from the trip we just came back from. I found this frame that I loved, and I was pleased with the results.

I especially like the way you positioned the photos inside the frame. The palm tree looks great in the middle as do the lillypads on the bottom. And grouping the hibiscus on the left with roses on the right - nice composition.

Thanks. It was probably 99% luck and 1% creativity, but I'm pleased with it.

I can see by all the beautiful pictures on this thread that I have many, many more flower pictures to capture!

What a great thread! Beautiful pictures everyone! I'll have to take some on our next trip. Meanwhile can anyone identify these flowers? They're right outside AK. DH took the shot because of the armadillo but I'm glad he got the flowers too--the blooms' shape and color remind me a bit of plumeria but the plant is very different from plumeria trees I've seen.

Thanks mickeystoontown, I zoomed in, compared it to other flower pics online and you're right! We don't see crepe myrtle much around here (planting zone 6-7) and when we do they're much smaller, just around 8-10 ft.

Great shots philagoofy! Where in Epcot is the one right above--since it's a banana tree my guess would be Living with the Land?

And I love the Bird of Paradise, your shot is even better than the one on Wikipedia. I think I saw it in AK, will have to take a leisurely "smell the flowers" approach on our next trip there instead of rushing for Fastpasses.

The photos right before are across the lake looking at Italy, Japan & Germany, then this photo & a couple of other flowers then 7 minutes later we're in Italy. (I believe we were heading to lunch in Italy, that's why we were there so fast.) We usually walk to the right to go to WS. So, somewhere along there - may have been Living with the Land. I know, that's a lot of help!:sad2:

I tried turning the photo so that the flower was hanging down but that didn't look right either. It was taken last year, I think I need to go back to see exactly where I took it & how the position should be.;)

You'd have to move really fast to get from Living With the Land to Italy in 7 minutes! From your description and timing it could be in Mexico--looking at our photos of the pathway where Donald does the meet and greet, I think I see banana leaves in the background.
