I would love to meet another Disser. We are arriving on the 25th. So where and when?

i think we should all begin by posting a draft of our december schedule, including ADRs, tours, etc...

if anyone would like to be the organizer please feel free to take control of this thread. :)

december 21 - we check in at pop century. we relax. we have a reservation at WCC for 4:30. after, we are going to head over to the camp fire and sing along.

december 22 - key to the kingdom tour in the morning. columbia harbor house for lunch (included). 'Ohana for dinner at 7:40. we are going to watch wishes from there.

december 23 - epcot. we are going to do future world in the am and go to biergarten for lunch at 1:45 this includes the candelight processional package for the 5:00 show. we will eat dinner at the c.s resturant in mexico from there we will watch illuminations.

december 24 - hollywood studios. we will eat breakfast at pop century and quickly head over to the studios. our mission is to first get on toy story mania. we have reservations at 50 prime time cafe for 5:45. we are looking forward to this meal, but it does not include the fantasmic package. we will do the later showing of fantasmic.

decemer 25 - crystal palace reservations at 8:10. from there we will stay in the magic kingdom. we will stay there all day. we orginally wanted to go back to the resort but we heard that the park may fill to capacity and we would not be allowed back in. we have christmas dinner planned for 6:45 at liberty tree tavern. oh, lets not forget the 12:30 christmas parade. and the fireworks.

december 26 - off day. we plan on eating lunch at either wolfgang puck express or earl of sandwich using a c.s. credit. we will go look at the decorations at the mk resorts. we may rent a mice boat or do something fun. then, we will head to boma for our dinner reservations at 6:20. we dont know what we will do after this, prob go back to the resort and relax.

december 27 - eat breakfast. express checkout and drive to animal kingdom. we will spend the day at animal kigdom and eat at flame tree bbq. when the park closes at 8 we will drive home back to reality in good ole daytona beach, florida.

We are staying at POP. Driving in overnight ont he 24th, heading straight to the MK as soon as we get our tickets. CS Breakfast and lunch, relaxing, see the parade, meet the characters....no real plans, just want to be there and here are the meal plans.

25th MK D - Liberty Tree Tavern, 8:35pm

26th E/WS D - Coral Reef Candlelight Processional, eat 5:45pm, show 8:15pm

27th AK B - Ohana, 9:25am; D - Poly Luau 8:00pm

28th HS B - Playhouse @ H&V 8:10am; D - 50s Prime Time 6:00pm

29th DTD D - Ohana 8:55pm

30th HOP B - Princess @ Akershus 10:00am; D - H&V Fantasmic Pkg 4:30pm
End the day at MK for the fireworks

The Holiday Wishes will replace the regular Wishes that time of the year, so whenever the schedule lists for the Wishes time, it will be the *special* Holiday Wishes. I haven't looked at the schedule, but I think around 9 or 10:00pm ish?

The Christmas parade replaces the regular parade starting Christmas day and for the rest of that week and they will have the Christmas parade at 12:30 and 3:00 that day.

I would think if the park opens at 8, to be at the main entrance by 7:30 so we can meet and walk into the park together. It would be great if we all stay at the resorts b/c I know a few of us have 8 to 8:30 ressies for breakfast and if that's the case, we can all go on a few rides together!:banana:

Here's my latest itinerary:

Tuesday, December 23rd
- We're arriving at AKL late morning
- Lunch will be at Mara's, though we have a ressie for Wolfgang Puck Cafe, in case we want to go to DTD right away
- We'll probably explore the resort and possibly go swimming, but we may also go to Downtown for a while
- Dinner is at Boma. With so much to do at the resort, and wanting to get a decent night's sleep, we're staying local.

Wednesday, December 24th
- Quick yogurt or some like food from Mara's
- Head over to Epcot- Segway Tour from 7:45 to 9:45
- Late breakfast at Akershus
- Snack around the World as we enjoy Christmas festivities
- Dinner at Chef's de France
- Hollywood Studios to see the Osbourne Lights:santa:

Thursday, December 25th :santa:
- Head over to the MK for EMH and do a couple of rides, hopefully
- Breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table
- Enjoy as much of the park as possible before it gets too crazy
- Lunch at Crystal Palace
- Head over to the Animal Kingdom
- Dinner at Jiko's

Friday, December 26th
- Breakfast at Boma's
- Go to Epcot
- Lunch at Marrakesh (We've never been, but I'm looking forward to this experience.)
- We may go back to resort for a little bit.
- Go to Disney's Hollywood Studios
- Dinner at Chef Mickey's
- Go to the Mk for EMH

Saturday, December 27th
- Head over to the AK
- Breakfast at Donald’s Safari Breakfast at Tusker House
- Lunch at either Flametree BBQ or Seasons, depending on if we're still in AK or if we've gone on to Epcot by lunch.
- We may make our way over to DHS at some point, or we may go back to the resort.
- Dinner at Boma

- Lunch at Tony's Townsquare Restaurant
- Back to resort for a while

Are you sure they open at 7? I checked the disneyworld.com calendar and they said 8 AM. I think the regular opening time is 9 so, 1 hour earlier is 8. Can someone clarify this for us so if we do decide to meet, we know it's the right time?:confused3

I too tried to make a sheet to see where we would all be when.....no too sure on everyone, but it seems that the likliest places and times to meet are

25th - MK

26th - DHS

27th - AK

So opening? Parade? or Fireworks? More than one? Out family is anxious to meet others, it is our first family trip and first Holiday away from home...my dd is excited about the idea of making Christmas ornaments to swap and having someone to watch the parade with who is "cooler" than mom. I'm driving in from NY, but no matter how tired we all are, I intend to stay for the PM EMH hours on the 21st. My next day is a non-park day and we're probably just going to go on a sleigh ride and maybe to the Roaring Forks for an early dinner so I know I can sleep in a bit on Monday.

What? You haven’t heard that all DISER’s are banned from Home Depot for stealing all of the lime green Mickey Mouse head paint chips from the paint department to tie onto park bags and carry around at Walt Disney World??? :rotfl:


Actually, that is what DISER's are "supposed" to do in order to identify one another in the parks but I've never been brave enough to tote around the lime green head and I didn't notice anyone else doing it either on my last trip. I think that the paint chip color is Alien Green from the Disney line of paints-- can anyone verify? Everyone can always make a run to their local Home Depot for the paint chips.

Yes the Alien Green is the generally accepted color, but I personally like the Sonic Boom better.
As it is Christmas Day, I am sure we will be in our RED Shirts with the Christmas DISign we found on here....I'll look it up and edit in a moment.....

That's how I got started. I read so many PTRs from others, that I began doing one for our trip from last year. Now, I am on my second one, with a TR in between. They are so much fun to do, and doing it really helps with the excitement of the trip.

Anything as exciting as these meets going on at Land or Dca???
I know of a few "meets" at either or both parks but nothing really, that's coming up... anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

Advice as to a discussion already taking place on this topic that I should visit?

I'm home sick for the parks. I'll be going to land & dca on sunday, but still that's d a y s from now anyone else going through withdraw?

Hey NYPD wife-I'm actually a firefighter's wife here in Florida! This is our first time at Disney for Christmas too. I am soooooo excited!! I haven't decided when to tell the kids (it's a surprise). Anyway, what resort are you staying at?

Sorry I'm so late getting in on this.....I am up for meeeting too if it is still happening. I have three kids DD 14, DD 5 and DS 17mos (at time of trip). We are staying at POR and here is my schedule:

12/21 - arrive at MCO at 10:45 am and head to POR to check in....will most likely head to DD to eat at the T-Rex and then to DHS after that
12/22 - MK - Ohana's for 5:55 dinner
12/23 - DHS - Sci-Fi for 12:25 lunch
12/24 - Epcot - LeCellier for 1:00 lunch
12/25 - MK (can't imagine being at Disney for Christmas and being anywhere else :santa: ) - Crystal Palace for 1:00 lunch
12/26 - AK - Donald's Safari Brkfst at 9:15
12/27 - Epcot WS - eat and drink and shop around the world:banana:
12/28 - check out and fly back to the real world at 5:55 pm :guilty: not sure yet what we will do until we have to leave for MCO

Anyway, let me know the plans.

Ok, MK opens at 7 AM on Christmas Day for resort guests. We'll be driving to the park (it's gonna be a looooong day and I don't want to wait for the buses when we're done), so I know we'll be there by 6:30 the latest. I will be by the "Here you enter the world of today, tomorrow, etc." sign. I would love to meet Disers there.

Can we make this set in stone that this is where we'll be by 6:30?

Our family is in! I pm'd Tink our #. We are staying until the 30th, and park hopping all week so we'd change parks one day just to meet outher dissers!

Thanks!! That will make DD sooooooo HAPPY! I have a question, are you guys bringing your presents with you? DH & I were having this discussion (argument) today and I say only little things, while he says everything. I can't see a reason to give my kids their Wii Fit and Rabbids TV game while the Wii is still at home. I thought it would be good to bring DS's Indy Sound FX Whip so he can take it to MGM & DD's Pokemon cards so she can trade.

What do you guys think? Are you bringing everything or just small stuff? We should be driving, but if the fares keep coming down, we just might fly.

We are just bringing the stockings and the little pixie gifts for each day. I see no use in dragging it all down there to bring it all back...and it will help get over the blah of leaving knowing we have presents under the tree to go home too.

Since we are driving - we are letting the boys take the Wii with us - however my kiddos are a bit older (14, 12 & 7) so "Santa & Mrs. Claus" bought one gift for each child and then we will stuff thier stockings - however we did consider the fact that Disney was Christmas, Birthday's, Anniversary's all rolled into one trip - we are there for 2 weeks....IMHO I think you know your kids best -

FWIW - we are shipping all of our stuff down to us - including the gifts and decorations - we are only packing suitcases in the car -

The sign is right at the entrance. You'll see it by the gate, or just ask a CM. Here's what I was told about buses.

Posts: 7,156 Buses will start running 1 hour prior to park opening.

Just an FYI, that day will be jam packed. IMHO, your best bet is to take the bus... yes, it will be crowded... but the line for the Ferry or Monorail followed by the line for the tram, followed by the traffic exiting the parks will be more of a nightmare.
