Transferring Luggage Question.....

I am planning 10 day trips in Oct and 7 day trips in March or May. October trips will be split stays to save points. My question is, will the DVC site that I am staying in for the first 7 days transfer my luggage to POR for the final 3 days?? Is there a charge?

They will transfer your luggage for you free of charge, however, we find that it is usually more convenient for us to get a cab to our new resort and take our own luggage. From what I have been told your luggage will not arrive at your new resort until late in the afternoon if you leave it for them to transfer for you.

We've transferred several times with no issues whatsoever. Our experience has been the luggage picked up before 11 is available after 2. It's like Magical Express - if you want it right away, don't let Disney handle it. If you're going to a park before checking in, or just don't want to deal with it, it's a great perk.

In one case, we called too soon before an ADR for breakfast, so they told us to leave it in the room by the door and they'd take it. No problem at all. Just left a note confirming transfer to SSR and a $10 tip for our 5 bags.
