As you can see, some belong to zackiedawg, and many other DIS'ers that have visited over the years and have posted on the DIS. I did that my first trip too! But didn't you feel great afterwards. One of my favorite things to do at CSR is lay in the hammock at Casitas 5 with my pina colada. :goodvibes

It really was a great day. Weather was amazing..We sat out (I fell asleep on a lounger) and got sunburns. The renovated rooms are awesome---can't get much better at a Moderate resort ;)

We just got home on Sunday from a week at CSR... it was wonderful!

We arrived at 3:00pm and the front desk clerk thought he recognized my name...then he remembered that he had read my fax and assigned us a room earlier. He said he always tries to honor requests that come in because the guest has gone to the trouble to put in a fax.

Unfortunately, the room he had assigned to us was given away before we arrived so he took his time and found us another one. We were in room 8604 in Cabanas 8B. Excellent location! The bus stop was steps away, pool a very quick walk and the lobby area just a short walk.

Our room wasn't ready so we headed to the main pool for a drink and on the way, we saw a baby alligator by the bridge:

Our room was ready within a half hour and our luggage arrived about a half hour after that (we used DME).

We went to the hottub almost every night - DH always stayed much later than me. Most nights there was a great mix of people and DH loves to talk so he made lots of friends. Security left them alone and told them they could stay as late as they wanted as long as they didn't get a noise complaint. Taking our drinks to the hottub was not a problem.

One word of warning though - DH came home with a wicked chemical burn from being in the hottub too long! This is not a criticism of CSR and their use of chemicals in the tub, it is necessary. But don't stay in the for 4 hours each night...it hurts :scared:

Hi all! We FINALLY got settled here. Phew! We're in a renovated room (room number not to be mentioned for security reasons, lol). It's absolutely GORGEOUS! We're in the Cabanas, and it's perfectly located! We had to give up our "water view" room in order to get a renovated room but that was fine because we never look out the windows anyway! :)

We checked in with a lovely guy named Fred. It was his first day, and he was earning his ears. He was wonderful and very knowledgeable! I was impressed! He asked about DD's birthday, and had a CM come out and drop off a birthday card for Meri. Then we had a maintenance person come in to unclog the potty, and she gave Meri 4 little Disney figurines! What magic already! :)

It's been raining all day, which stinks... and looks like it's going to continue all night. We're supposed to go to TRex tonight but there's a problem with the ADR. We have a party of 4 ADR, but we needed to add a 5th person, and they won't let us. It appears they're all full tonight. So we may end up canceling or we may end up at Rainforest, or who knows what else? My friend (the 5th) works for a very very very VIP here in Orlando, so I'm hopeful she can pull strings, lol! ;)

I'll post pictures of the room here tonight after we get back from dinner. I have to shower and get ready to head over to DTD! :) If anyone has questions about the resort, let me know and I'll try to find out!

Just back from a 3 night stay at CSR....oh I so miss it all ready, I'm ready to go back! :sad1: We have stayed at all the moderates including CSR, but with the new rooms I don't think I would stay anywhere else, it's better than the deluxes at half the cost! :thumbsup2 I will be shocked if they don't go up on the prices! We were in Cabana 8A, room 8211, second floor corner room with 2 windows, close to the dig site and the bus stop. The renovated rooms are soooo....much prettier in person than in the pictures!! They are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!! We were on the Quick Service Dining plan and it really paid off eating at the Pepper Market! We spent $100 a day for the plan, but easily spent $200 a day on food not including the refillable mugs that are included in the plan. I know Buzz just got back and has answered alot of questions, but if anyone has any I would be glad to answer. I will post some of my pics soon! If you haven't tried CSR, you need too. I love this resort! :love: :love:

The beds are VERY comfortable! As others have said, I think October is the completion date for the rooms. We went to the Casita section and noticed the rooms on the first floor were still the old decor. I really think the new decor is a great mix of Disney and Business. Some might say it's too business oriented, but their are hidden mickeys all over the new decor, everywhere you looked! My girls, 9 and 11, loved the decor as much as we did. Even with no balcony and exterior corridors, CSR is a great option for families looking for a deluxe feel and amenities without the huge price tag. It was weird, the rooms felt bigger to me even with the Queen beds, maybe because of the new lower dresser. :thumbsup2Welcome back and thanks for sharing!!

That is the Cabana hammock...and I think after seven stays in the Casitas, we are going to try Cabanas this time. But you can use either one...we'll share if we have to.

p.s. How could anyone look at these photos and not think it looks more like a deluxe, other than the outside hallways and lack of balconies? I absolutely love the Poly and CR, but not all of those rooms have balconies. :confused3
