All Star Sports is so nice, you are going to have so much fun. Its the first resort that the buses stop at, so you will always be first on/off. I really didn't think any of the building were more than a 5 minute walk from the bus stop.

The baseball section is kind of off by itself, it has its own pool. I liked our Touchdown section, it was very centrally located (one minute to the pool, 2 to the bus stop, 1 to the food court/arcade). The surfing section is right at the pool and close to the food court. The basketball section was maybe the farthest, but it was being renovated when we were there.

This resort has so many cool 'large objects'. I suggest taking loads of pictures and you are going to have a great vacation! (just a bit jealous)

The All Star Photos are great. I need help deciding to stay at value or a moderate. We are considering a value for next June 2009 because of the overall hike in transportation costs to/from WDW. These airlines don't give many options to save money. I know my 8 yr old DS would love SPORTS but I would love the landscaping and quietness of Music. Tough decisions;) and then love all the icons of the Movies:goodvibes

Last week was our first stay at ASMo, I really enjoyed it. My DD2 loved seeing all the characters and really enjoyed the kiddie pool. All of the CM's were very helpful and I thought the rooms were really quiet (some people complained that the walls are paper thin). My only complaint would be that it's so popular that we always had the longest wait for buses at the end of the night. We were in the Mighty Ducks building...ALLLL the way in the back. The last couple of days we took the bus to ASMu and walked over. The walk was about the same but the bus line was much shorter.

There are rooms close to pools, but I don't think it's a bad walk from anywhere to a pool. I'd rather not have the noise from the pools late at night!

Main Pool at Movies-Fantasia (near food court/buses), and then the Mighty Ducks pool (furthest section from food court/buses). From the Mighty Ducks pool, you can cross the parking lot right over to All Star Music, you can use their bus and food court and pools.

On our late October 2007 trip, the Movies pools were both a little cool, and the evening air was chilly, so we walked over to the main All Star Music pool, and it was nice and warm!!

I didn't ready the whole thread, so sorry if I'm repeating, but one of my favorite websites www.allearsnet.com has tons of pictures of every Disney resort. Here's the link http://allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm

The resorts are listed on the left side of the page, photos are under each resort. The website also lists menus for every restaurant on property - resort & theme park. I cancelled my Disney Dining Plan after I looked at the kids' menu in some of the restaurants. I found a lot of restaurants that offered pizza and hot dogs - but they'weren't on the "kid's menu", so kids can't order them using the DDP. Little off topic there...

This maybe a dumb questions, but was that a picture of a hairdryer??? Everthing I read said that the Values don't have hairdryers or coffee makers. Do I have bad info. May sound silly, but I don't won't to have to drag a hairdryer with me if I don't have to. :)

I believe it's only the Family Suites that have the coffee makers. Ours had a coffee maker and also a kitchenette area with a nice side fridge. I'm not sure if they all have the hair dryers but ours did, in both bathrooms.

The value resorts do have hair dryers in the rooms. No coffee makers though, except in the suites.

Thanks for the great pics-we changed resorts and added another room-so we downgraded to ASMu- the pics of the broadway themed bldg just sealed the deal-we just called and requested room in that bldg. and they were happy to assist us in requesting room in that location! thanks. We'll post lotsa pics after our trip next week.:thumbsup2

We prefer the AS to Pop, although we're staying at Pop in May because I could get an AP rate at Pop and not ASMu? Music is our favorite AS, but we liked Movies too.

No problem. It really is a fun hotel; I'm glad that I took some time to walk around the grounds and get a good look at it. I confess that that is the ONLY time that I spent. Other than getting a quick sandwich once, I didn't use the facilities at all. But I saw a great many kids using the courtyards/playgrounds quite contentedly.
