I am thinking ahead to next year. If I rent a dvc and they offer free dining at the same time, can I combine the two?
Thanks

Sadly....no.
No free dining for DVC'ers

Yes, this is true, no free dining while staying through DVC.
But as a compromise, we have decided to extend our stay by 3 extra nights and book them in a value to get the free dining.::yes::
So we'll wait to eat at the more pricey spots for that end of the vacation. :thumbsup2
This will take some of the sting out of missing out on the free dining, but still getting stuck with the busy restaurants. It will not be fun knowing that a lot of those diners are getting theirs for free:furious:
Just as a note, you will also have to buy one day park passes in order to get the free dining. But we will just upgrade these at a later date to annual passes.

The only way to get free dining while staying in a DVC resort is to book it through CRO at rack rate as a part of a package.
But you can purchase the dining plan with a DVC points stay. Just ask the member you are renting from to add it to the reservation. Then you pay when you check in.
