Thank-you to everyone whose info made our first vacation to the Fort our best vacation ever! We did send in our cabin requests and were surprised that the long shot, cabin 118, came through! We will be sending lots of thank-you's to Mary and Doug at the Fort Outpost for their kindness to us. The Fort was beautiful, the people so nice ( everyone, even the garbage guys, smiled and waved) and our location made it a much needed getaway for our family. I will try to post a more detailed report later. By the way, the golf cart was a big part of the fun of staying at the Fort.:moped:

I'm glad you still seem so excited but beware those post fort blues will hit soon. Just suck down a kungaloosh and visit the dis as often as you can to start planning your next trip.

Seems like you had a good time; we are heading there on Thursday.
When did you do your cabin request?
How did you request one; is there a number to call?
What other cabins did you request?
We are so excited about going and want to have the best time possible (of course, I have read there is no place like the Fort for vacation). :cool1:
WOW, I can't believe you got that cabin. I just gave up on ever having it. I thought you had to know someone.( like Walt or Santa Clause) Can't wait for the trip report.

I take that this cabin was one of the very few in the 100 loop? If so how did you like the loop? I have ask for it in a couple of weeks.

So glad you had a good trip!
We saw the cabins on the 100 loop a couple of weekends ago and thought they were very cool. Rog is right they have some killer grills and the luxury of being in the Fort with housekeeping!
Too Cool!

Report will be coming! Laundry, grocery shopping, and dinner are taking priority right now. I do not know Walt or Santa, I wish I did, but I did pray about that cabin and its darn grill, 'cause we really were in need of some Disney magic for our family! Will post soon!

Congrats on the BIG SCORE! DH and I got cabin #118 last October. I had made the reservation but didn't request a specific cabin and when we checked in the CM said, "You'll be in #118." At the time, I didn't know that we'd scored the silver tuna!!

there are 2 cabins in loop 100. the difference is the location, these 2 are among the campsites instead of the other cabins.
Anyone know why they put these 2 in loop 100?
