Cheese for desert?

One of the best treats I got on a previous cruise was cheese after desert to go with the wine left in the bottle. The server, after the first night, automatically brought me a cheese plate every night. I have not seen this as an option on any of the posted menus. Anyone had cheese at the end of dinner?

they had the most excellent cheese tray that you could get through room service. I believe it was called an international cheese tray, and was it ever good. After i had it once, i ordered it every day for the rest of the cruise.

Our tablemate on our cruise last March had a cheese and fruit plate for dessert after each dinner. He simply requested it the first night, told the waiter this was what he preferred for dessert, and each night the waiter brought out his plate. Not a problem, nor did our waiter need to be reminded. The plate looked absolutely wonderful - thought about getting it myself, but was always lured back to the chocolate.....;)
