We are leaving on Wednesday for FW and are staying in the cabins. I know they don't always honor loop requests but if I could pick one, which one would I pick? Do I call FW directly and ask for one? Also, what are the chances of having an early check-in? DH was suppose to work that morning, but as we are going to Disney said he couldn't work beforehand as he wouldn't be able to concentrate anyway, so now we can head over after sooner.
Thanks for all of your help :dance3:

I've always requested a loop at check- in and got it. I've even requested a certain cabin and got it. :cool1:
I love 2700, 2500 or 2300

All of the cabin loops are in the same area of the Fort. 2100 is the closest to the meadows area (campfire program, bike barn, meadows pool, trading post). 2500 & 2600 are closer to the smaller pool. None of them are close to the marina area. If you have small kids and are not renting a golf cart you may want to request a cabin close to the bus stop in whichever loop they give you. I believe you could call now and ask them to put the request on your reservation.
I'm not sure if you can get an early check in because they have to have housekeeping go in between guests. If you get there early you could ask if they have any cabins that are going to be ready early. If not you can park in the overflow parking lot and check out the Fort while you are waiting. You could have lunch at Trail's End or hop the settlement bus or boat and go over to Wilderness Lodge and check it out. They will give you a number to call and check back to see when it will be ready.

I just ask for a cabin near the front of the loop. We have been in 2100, 2200, 2300, 2400, 2500, and 2800. My favorites were 2800 because you can walk back from the Outpost bus stop, and 2200. Although we really enjoyed the 2100 loop in May.

For all of your answers to my questions.
We are only an hour away so we were thinking about calling before we even left to see if there was one available.
We have rented a golf cart so we don't have to walk at all.. :cool1:
We are planning on going to the MK only one day and the rest of the time relaxing at the Fort. We are SOOO excited.
I have gotten early check in all three times I have been to the cabins. We had early flights. I think last time we got there around 11am. However, we took whatever Cabin was ready. I have only stayed in the 2600 loop. Not on purpose either. It is just the loop we get. However, if I had a preference, it would be the ones near the pool. It was an easy walk. Honestly, if you have a golf cart...they are all the same to me. Good luck
