Really?? Is it??

This is important ..... the main reason we are staying here is to save $$ on the parking .. since we have to stay overnight somewhere anyway.

But if I add the port parking to the cost .. we are not going to do it ..I'll get a cheaper hotel via Hotwire over by the airport.

I just don't want to come back and find my car gone.

It's a 1993 caravan .. not a sports car or anything ....

Will it be ok??

Left our Oldsmobile for a week with no problems. Made sure not to leave anything inside that someone might want. Also parked under one of the main parking lot lights. We have parked at DCL also no problem.

TENNDVC - Of the two places to park - which did you prefer?

I don't think anyone can guarantee that anything is %100 safe. If you make sure that nothing valuable can be seen, if you park it up front, and make sure the windows are shut tight and locked up, it's probably as safe as the port.

We left our 1992 Aerostar for a week, during a hurricane. (It actually would have been a blessing if someone had stolen it -j/k)What's the worst that could happen? Do you have insurance on it?

I can't really say we have a preference of one or the other. The only difference was getting the shuttle back to the Radisson to pick up the car to go home. We ended up riding back in the AVIS van to the Radisson. No hassle either way.

 We also debated on whether to leave our van at the Radisson or the port. We finally decided, because we have a new Town & Country and because we really want to spend some time out by the ocean, to stay somewhere like the Hilton. Even though we will be spending four days on the ocean after our one day stay in Cocoa Beach, we have decided that after our 22 hour drive down that sitting on the ocean and just relaxing will be nice. :bounce: I know my van isn't a sports car either but I would be so upset if something happened to it, not to say something might not happen at the port but I have read that the port's parking lot is lighted, fenced and guarded and personally would just feel better about leaving it there. I know a lot of you have had no problems with leaving your car at the Radisson and that's great but it's just the decision that we made. I know that the Radisson deal is hard to pass up.
