After not being able to access this board this afternoon, I began to think about how much I have depended on this site.

It all began with my seeking information for my first Disney cruise. Running across the Disney Cruise Line Forum allowed me to be prepared for the cruise and enjoy it to the max. Thanks to the DIS Discussion Forums!

After hanging around the DCL Forum, I started to follow the DVC Forum. Now, one Disney purchase and one re-sale purchase later, I know this forum made me a much better consumer. It has always been nice to know that there are many Disney nuts like me out there. Thanks DIS.

It was also on the Budget Board about a year or two ago that I found out about Disney's advertising mistake that allowed me to get a huge discount at the Disney Store when purchasing Disney Dollars (I think it was 10 or 20%). I used the Disney Dollars to purchase my annual passes that year. Thanks DIS!

I have also gained valuable information from the other boards such as the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies board. This information has increased my enjoyment of my WDW trips countless times. Thanks DIS!

I would like to entend a BIG public THANK YOU to Pete Werner and his Werner Technologies! Also, thanks to all of the Webmasters especially WebmasterDoc and WebmasterMichelle. Also, many thanks to the 50 or so moderators, especially CarolAnnK, dvcreg, and Tn Robin. I also appreciate the sponsorship of these boards, especially Dreams Unlimited (who I have patronized) and The Timeshare Store.

Last, and certainly not least, thanks to all of you who provide helpful and sincere answers to the questions folks raise here. I have been the beneficiary of the answers to many questions raised by others.

I have a long list of benefits I get from these boards. How about you?

You said it, vacationman! This site has been wonderful for so many things!!! First, my trip to WDW in 1999, then my trip in 2001 and now my resale into DVC. (I'm becoming addicted)

I couldn't have done it without you guys and gals. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

it would be horrible. But I do have a question. why does it say the server is too busy and not let me access sometimes but then a few minutes later let me do it. Is it the individual thread or is it the whole board thats busy?

I would freak out if there was no DIS. I came home for lunch today and as always found my way right to the boards. I was definitely disappointed that they were down. It was rough. Glad they are back now!

There are three thing that help me stay sane. Our boat, vacationing in WDW, and the DIS boards for those time in between........................

I would be very disappointed if the boards went away. I even got my DH (MarkRG) logging on!

I've learned so much from these boards and get frustrated when I get the server busy message, but I would hate to see them gone for good.

I hope it never happens. I am grateful for all the info from everyone. I would have never known about purchasing resale without all of you or who to contact. This made the difference to convince my dh to purchase. It also is nice to hear about everyone else's trips while I am counting down to our next trip. Thank goodness for the dis!

I signed on a while back, and lost my way. But have now come back and like that cup of coffee, we all need that cup of DIS.

We applaud you and thank those who have helped all Disney Fans keep in touch with the Kid & Magic inside of us.

I have just found these boards about a month ago and am totally addicted. I read all day long at work (he-he ;) .) I love just coming on and seeing what's up. It really gives me a dose of Disney everyday and makes my upcoming trip even more exciting.

I have leaned so much from these boards that have made all our trips to WDW even more enjoyable through the years.
I can't imagine a life without the DIS.:)
Not only have I saved money from keeping up on discounts, etc, but so many little helpful tips about things to do, new rides, and on and on and on.
Thanks to all on this board for caring and sharing!:bounce:

I'd like to jump on the bandwagon and give my thanks to the Dis! I came here looking for information on the DCL. A DVC member saw my post regarding the cost of a single cruise and mentioned DVC. Well, as they say, the rest is history. I am now a DVC member enjoying all the benefits of my membership and yes--cruising. Not the wisest choice for my points, I know, but less painful :).
