Group Cruise Ideas

Hi all!!

I am helping to plan the DDLdoesDCL (DisneyDollarless Does Disney Cruise Line) group cruise for January 18, 2003. Has anyone here ever planned a group cruise on the DCL before? Any ideas on different group activities that we can plan?

I've looked at the Disney Meetings website, and it mentions that there are locations both onboard and at Castaway Cay where group meals can be had, as well as other things. I've asked our group TA for more information, but am wondering if any of you may have ideas.

We've already got some ideas in the works - such as a Scavenger Hunt on Key West, taking the reception as part of our group perks, and others - but I'm looking for any and all ideas to make the group cruise the best possible, and to give everyone a wide variety of choices of things they'd like to participate in (since we're all vacationing and its not likely that all of us will do all the group things).

We ended up with a large group that formed right here on the DIS Boards for the 4/20 cruise. We are wearing green leis boarding day at the port and also on board the ship - and easy way to recognize others in our group. We have a sailaway celebration planned. We will all meet on Deck #10 Port Side overlooking the goofy pool area at 4:00 for the sailaway party. We also ordered lanyards with card cases as a group. I made custom inserts to put in to them with the disney cruise logo, our sail dates and DIS user names or first names. By ordered bulk -- these were only $2 each for the lanyard and the case. The cases work great to carry your KTTWC (room key/chg card) on board the ship.
