We are driving from N.C. to FW and staying in a cabin. We plan on driving to all the parks except the MK. Can anyone tell me what time we should leave for EPCOT, AK, and Disney Studios to be lined up at the rope drop by 8:30-8:45? I just want to make sure I allow enough time for driving, parking and walking to the Rope Drop.
Also, we have an 8:20 CRT at the MK. I've read where we need to take the boat to Contemporary and then walk or take the monorail to MK. What time should we take the bus, so that we can be at the gate in time to get in? The park officially opens at 9:00 this day. I'm hoping to get in as early as possible and hoping to be seated before our official ADR time so that we can be completed as close to RD as possible. Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Debbie

45 minutes to 1 hour

15 - 30 minutes drive to park

10 minutes to get from car to gate

5 - 20 minutes in the security check point(bag check)

5 minutes for ticket turnstyles

5 minutes to walk to the rope drop point

Note: if you wait 5 minutes (stand of to the side) after rope drop you wont get tramppled in the mad rush and still be 1 of the first in line for your favorite ride. You will soon find out that 1 rope drop in a lifetime is enough for anyone

Thanks Jeff!
First time to DW in 20 years and have never been to RD. Sounds like good advice to stand to the side.

The rope drop at MK used to be kind of exciting back when you could run the Space Mountain marathon.

I was always "have to make it to rope drop have to make it rope drop...quick quick quick" :hyper: out of three years and multiple attempts we only made it to one- and it was at Epcot......glad we made it once but,
I'm not in such a hurry anymore
