Sale in Sep??

I will be in florida for labour day? (really ignorant but at least I think it is - the one thats in early Sep)
Could anyone that has been at this time tell me if they have sales on and if the shops are actually open or if the sale starts the following day?
Need to know how many empty suitcases to take!!:woohoo:

labor day is the first monday in september and yes there are sales..
usually during the entire weekend (labor day weekend)...
and yes, stores are open on labor day, but the sales usually begin on the friday that begins labor day weekend and continue through labor day..

This is good to know, as Labor Day will be our "Walmart day" on the first day of our holiday
