Alrighty, here goes!
Bride: Summer (That's me!)
Groom: Nicolas, or Nic
Summer:
I'm a huge Disney nut, obviously. But, aside from that my passions include my piccolo (played all through HS in the Marching Band and Symphony) and musicals. My favorites are Rent and Wicked, but I love so many! My favorite Disney park is Epcot. I'm Irish, and I went there with my daddy last summer. I've also been to Israel, Switzerland, England, and Wales, and, of course, Canada!
Nic:
He loves Disney, just not quite so much. Haha. He's a trombone player. He's Canadian. He's actually Acadian, and his first language is French. He's been to France (lucky bum!), and was born and raised in New Brunswick. He loves video games, especially Guitar Hero! He's also a huge hockey and college football fan.
Here's us:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/DSC01514.jpg
How we met:
I was dating another Nick, who happened to be friends with my Nic, and Nick threw a party, and Nic and I got to be friends. A few weeks later, Nick and I broke up. We were all 3 in marching band, so I got closer to Nic during band stuff. Then, I found out his best friend was this guy, Nate, who I was friends with. So, we all started hanging out (Nic, Nate, Nicole (my best friend), and I). So, the summer before my senior year, Nic and I had a little fling, but he left to stay with his dad for 6 weeks in Canada (he's Canadian, and his Dad still lives there). But, when he got back, we decided to actually start dating. And, now Nicole and Nate are dating, so we have a great group for double dating. Haha.
As far as attendants:
MOH - Nicole
BM - Beth (Nic's brother's fiance)
BM - Sebastien (Nic's brother)
GM - Nate
Here's us with my MOH.

At home wedding details:
Ceremony - Michigan State University Alumni Chapel
Reception - Michigan State University Union - Ballroom
Date - August 1st, 2009
Our colors will be light blue and brown. I'd always thought I'd do pink and brown, but after having a boy, and having all the blue/brown clothes, I decided to change!
Speaking of having a boy, I should probably point out that we have a little boy. He'll be a year and a half at the time of the wedding. He'll be our ring bearer. My cousin, Rubi, will be our flower girl. She is about a month older than our DS.
As far as a proposal story, my DF proposed when we were at Disney in August 2008. After dinner with everyone at Chef Mickey's, he and I headed over to the Poly while everyone else went back to Pop. We went out on the beach for Wishes, and found some chairs and set down our shoes and bag and went down to the waterfront. A few minutes before Wishes started, he got down on one knee, and told me he's always known he wanted to be with me, and he wanted to make it official. He asked me to marry him, and I, of course, said yes. (Duh) Then, we watched the fireworks :)
We will, of course, be having a Disneymoon. Our plan for that is:
08/02 - 08/07 or 08/08
Polynesian Resort
Deluxe Dining Plan
You can see all our info on that over on our Honeymoon PTR.

Alright, here's some ideas of mine.
I love love LOVE Alfred Angelo, if you can't tell.
Wedding Dresses:
Any colors will be Robin's Egg Blue, which is the blue on the first picture. I'm thinking the third, especially since I found it for only $500! I have a shop near me that carries AA (lucky me! :) ), so I'm thinking about going and trying it on there.

I'm definitely doing a tiara. Just haven't found the one yet. I do LOVE Amanda's though. But, here's another idea.

Great to see you on these boards and looking forward to more Disney wedding stuff. I love the AA gowns and almost purchased the one you are interested in in white and claret - but ending up going with an all white one.
I really love that tiara you have in your post. Would you mind letting me know where you found it and who the designer is.
Also, can't end this post without saying just how cute your son is. Love the blond hair and blue eyes.
Looking forward to reading more.

Flowers
How about my flower ideas next? I know I want to do them in silk, and I love calla lillies, so, that's probably what I'll do. But, here's some ideas I love.

But, I'm pretty sure I'll do this:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/engagednvenice.jpg
I'm not doing flower centerpieces or anything either. My BMs will carry a single stem calla. :)

It's not creepy at all! What does he expect? You're going to have one soon enough! It's exciting to see what they're going to be like and doing in a few months! I loved going and seeing my aunt's daughter, because she's about 6 weeks older than my DS (although, she was due the day after me, but they had to do an emergency C-sec because of Pre-Eclampsia), and it's cool to see all the stuff he'll be doing in a few weeks. Although, now he's past her! She can't quite crawl yet (but getting close), and DS is not only crawling, but he's pulling himself up to standing on things and moving from one thing to another. He's almost standing on his own, too. He can pull himself up, and wave with one hand and still be okay. Haha, sorry, I'm ranting! :) But, you'll love your little boy. They're so much fun!

Alright, I decided to talk about everything paper. STDs (haha), invitations, programs. All that good stuff. So, here goes.
We'll start with STDs, because, well, that's the first thing people will see.
I love the boarding pass style of STDs, so we'll probably go with those:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/danialle.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/lisakeiko2.jpg
I also like this idea, with a cute little paragraph in this style. Except, it'd be about us! Haha.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/greengelato.jpg
I definatly want to do this style of magnet:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/lilzy1007.jpg
Now, how about some invitations? I love Pocketfolds! Can you tell?
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/47b8df33b3127cceb3ff4dd7b8c10000003.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/care04.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/care04_2.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/corunner.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/jules52707_2.jpg
We'd probably do something like this, with one side in English, one side in French.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/cardsandpocketskellystyle.jpg
If we don't do pocketfolds, we'll do it like this, with an alternating line thing:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/kialais83.jpg
As far as invitations, I'm nervous about extra people coming. Our families are so big to start with! Extra, uninvited people is a scary thought. So, there's the possibility of doing something like this:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/10142006bride.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/likefrankiesaid.jpg
Here's some ideas for invitations to other things. Most of them I saved because I liked the wording:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/anayinsin3.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/care04_3.jpg
Here's some ideas for newsletters (like to the bridesmaids)
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/amyrenee27.jpg
I also love the wording of this, for the bridesmaid cards:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/june24mrs.jpg
Finally, here's some programs I like!
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/2bmrsk2.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/dunneg.jpg
But, we'll probably do the Mickey head fan programs, made ourselves. I just can't find the picture I have saved on here right now! :worried:

I'm very excited about welcome bags. I don't really know why.
So, here's my plan.
Everyone will recieve a gable box (either in light blue or brown).
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/johnnyandsignamberbuygiftbox.jpg
It'll have something cute on the outside with our names on it, somewhat like this.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/anayinsin2.jpg
There will be a folder, with lots of information in it. I'll post the information as I write it up.
There will be park maps, a timeline, important phone numbers,
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/boogedy2.jpg
a camera scavenger hunt,
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/mauiluv.jpg
a card with info on sharing wedding pictures,
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/SharePhotos1.jpg
a newsletter, maybe a crossword, maybe some other stuff.
I'm going to make the trip cards that Jessica sent me.:thumbsup2
I also might make door signs or door knob hangers or something.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/boogedy.jpg
Then, it'll include other fun stuff. I saved some pictures for ideas, so I'll just post them all.

I found most of these pictures from bios on theknot. That was one thing I loved about theknot. Pictures! :) The boarding passes were on someone's bio there. Her user name was danialle.

I too lurrrrrrrrrve the boarding pass style STD's, they look really different.
I see you've posted a card regarding photo sharing, the one in the picture is for Walmart - does anyone happen to know of any other sites that offer this service, UK based one's would be especially useful for us :thumbsup2

Haha, I'm a huge creative person, so most of my stuff will be craft projects! :)
Thanks :) I saw them and fell in love!
Yeah. I found that card on someone else's bio on theknot, so we won't actually be using walmart. We're going to do a photobucket. Photobucket just introduced group albums for things like this or group vacations. I'm so excited! :) You could probably do a photobucket.
I'll probably post some more this evening.

These are actually all just ideas, not ones I've actually done. But what kind of boxes? Like, the gable boxes? Because I've looked up quite a few sites as resources for when I go to buy them, so I could try to point you in the right direction.

well, i really love the idea of a box (similar to your gable box) rather than bags. i want my folder with the newletter and maps and what not to fit inside the box so it needs to be at least 9 x 12... which websites are you using?

I got quite a few places for links from the knot.
The places I found most suggested is here:

You could also try:

So, first of all, I have to share something exciting. Now, for our Disney wedding, it'd be, obviously, Nic, Jacques, and I. Then, there's my mom and dad, who are totally cool with the Disney idea, Nic's mom and step-dad, who'll be okay with it, Nicole and Nate, who are okay with it, and then Nic's brother and his fiance (who asked me to be a BM this weekend. Yay! :) ) and his dad. Well, I figured Nic's brother would be all against it, and make Nic's dad even more against it than I assume he will be, but we talked about it a little this weekend, and I heard something awesome. "If that's what makes you happy, and that's what you want, do it! You can even do a party back here and stuff." So, yay, that's one of the two people I was worried about on my side!
Alright, time for table number/centerpiece/kid's table ideas.
I'm not sure what we'll do for table numbers. Maybe Disney couples, but here are a few other ideas I found...
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/jules52707_3.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/greengelato3.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/large_image.jpg
Then, for kid's table, I liked these ideas:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/maunalanibride.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/mcsteakh8r2.png
For a seating chart, I'd like to make a list, but I'm not sure about the place cards themselves.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/mrspinkpeony.jpg
Our AHR will probably be sort of winter themed with a touch of Disney, so I LOVE these for centerpieces/decorations:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Wedding%20PJ/mrsanayasnin.jpg
I also like the look of lanterns:

Sorry to just ramble on about the Boarding Passes again, but did you find a site that makes these / has templates?
I really love them but would only need about 6 for our wedding as we have so few going to Florida, then we can have some more traditional ones for our at home do, so perhaps I'd be better making my own, did you come across any good sites??

Anniversary Mini-TR!
First, we took Jacques to Toys-R-Us, because that was our first "date."
He tried out all the exersaucers:

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01836.jpg
We also found Jacques' toddler bed:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01837.jpg
Then we dropped him off to his Mamere, and headed to Celebration Village:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01843.jpg
Where we went to the Melting Pot:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01844.jpg
We sat down, and messed around:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01851.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01852.jpg
He got Sprite, I got a Cherry Coke (:crazy2: I'm a Pepsi person.)
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01853.jpg
We got their featured cheese, which was a Carribean cheese blend (we went with a tropical theme for the night), which comes with dippers of bread, apples, cauliflower, carrots, and celery.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01855.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01856.jpg
And we both got their AMAZING ceaser salad: (I almost forgot to take the picture on this one)
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01857.jpg
We got the Pacific Rim for dinner (from the top of the meat plate, clockwise, Chicken, Seared Duck, Pork Tenderloin, and, my favorite, the Teriyaki-Marinated Sirloin, plus the Potstickers around the plate. There is usually shrimp, but we subbed in more steak, since neither of us are big shrimp people) There was also veggies of potatoes, broccoli, zucchini, and
mushrooms. We did the Court Boullion for a cooking sauce:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01858.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01861.jpg
Then, we made faces (and Hidden Mickeys! Which Nic did, and I was so proud) with the stuff on the table while waiting for our dessert. (Yes, we are 3. Why do you ask?) (Also, the second one is a vampire)
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01864.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01865.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01866.jpg
Then, we got our dessert, which was the Bananas Foster, which I LOVE. We got it when we went for Mother's Day, too. Definatly my favorite, and we've tried almost all of them. The dippers are bananas, strawberries, cheesecake, rice krispies, brownies, pound cake (which, ironically, is how much we gained at this meal!), and marshmallows covered in oreo and graham crackers.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01868.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01867.jpg
So, then we went to Oasis (our hot tub place) and stayed in the Borneo Room. We stayed in Nova Scotia, and British Isles before, so we figured it was time for something tropical!
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01875.jpg

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Pre-Trip%20Report/DSC01879.jpg
Then, we came home and thought we lost the dog, but she's safe and sound. There were fireworks at the ball game, and it scared her, so she was in the back room in the basement, under the toolbench, and we had to get her out with a broom!
It was definitely an awesome night!

Aw, that sucks! I don't know what we'd do if MP closed! See, we're pretty boring people, and we have a 3-restaurant rotation.
Fast Food - Taco Bell
Semi-nice dinner - O'Charley's
Nice dinner - Melting Pot.
We always discuss it, too, like we'd actually go somewhere else, but we never do! :rotfl:

Eric hates the melting pot :( He just doesn't get it. He can't figure out why it costs so much when he has to cook his own food. Plus he's too impatient and never cooks anything for long enough..he was eating raw lobster last time we went (vomit). I looooooove it though! I think it's so much fun & hello their dessert is to DIE for! Hot tub looks like sooo much fun, I wish we had a place like that around here!

Aw, that sucks! It's all about the experience, plus, the food is amazing! Nic's kinda the opposite. He over-cooks everything, because he's worried about under-cooking it. If he just doesn't like the concept of cooking the food, try making him go for just dessert. It's cheaper and delicious. Their bananas foster is AMAZING. :hyper: I totally love our hot tub place. They have all different rooms themed to different areas of the world, and it's so much fun!

Yeah, I love it!
You can stay from a half-hour up to, like, 3 hours. It's $15/half hour, but we get 1/2 off coupons all the time, so we use those.
I actually did go when I was pregnant, but I asked my doctor's and what I did was 10 minutes in, 10 minutes out, and we only did the hour, so it was, like, 10 minutes getting ready, 10 minutes in, 10 minutes out, 10 minutes in, shower, go home. Plus, we had them lower the temperature to about bath water temperature.

Haha, thank you so much :) Glad to hear you enjoy it all.
Yeah, I'm a little crazy over-board. Nic's like "If you spent half as much time on *insert random thing he's upset about here* as you did Disboarding and Wedding planning..."
PM me your e-mail and I can get you a copy of that Boarding Pass STD.
As far as the magnets, there's several ways to do it. First, you'll need to take your pictures, then you can either print them yourself and put magnet backing on them (you can get the stuff from Office Depot/Max) or you can get them printed. There's several website you can go to that will print them for you as magnets.
Can't wait to see your PJ! :) I don't have an engagement story myself, yet. But, Nic promised sometime in August, meaning.. DISNEY!:banana:
I also found out that he picked out the ring! :) He told me in one of my "We'll never get married!" moments. I get those sometimes, I'm weird. I think this particular one was when I got upset that one of our friends and her boyfriend who have known each other about 5 months, and dated for about 3 (she was with one of his best friends the other 2) announced they were getting married. And I got all overdramatic. I must be insane. :confused3

So, we changed a lot around.
We'll be doing an at-home wedding, with a disneymoon.
Updated the first post to reflect that.
You can keep up with everything on the Honeymoon PTR, and I'll update here a little, plus, of course, post a link to our Honeymoon TR when the time comes.
