Time for another challenge!!

This week I'd like you to scraplift! We're going to raid the Disney Digi-Scrappers Flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/disneydigiscrappers/) and get inspired!!! There are sooo many beautiful LOs in this group!! You will NOT have any trouble finding one you love and want to scraplift.

OK - for those of you who might not know, scraplifting is basically just a form of imitation. You see a great LO you like and you use it as inspiration for you own LO. You can copy it down to the brads, or you can use it as a jumping off point. Its up to you. Scraplifting is considered flattering in the scrap community, AS LONG as you give credit where credit is due. When you list your credits you need to say who did the LO you scraplifted, what their LO is called and also give a LINK to the LO as well!!

So - the rules for this challenge are:

Scraplift a LO from the Disney Digi-Scrappers Flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/disneydigiscrappers/)

Give proper credit to the artist (including username, name of LO, and link to LO) when you list your credits anywhere!

Post your LO in this thread and list or link to credits!!

That's it! Two lucky winners, (one randomly drawn and my FAVORITE scraplift) will win a $5 GC donated to us by ScrapMatters.com! :mickeyjum

Get your LOs in by midnight (Pacific Time) Tuesday June 10th! That's the cut off.

HAVE FUN! Can't wait to see your scraplifts!!

I personally like to go through the thread. I feel like I miss people's actual posts when they're all together.
I know what I want to scraplift I just have to remember who did it. It was a LO of Ariel and there were big circles and I'm pretty sure it was Britt's Leave The World Behind kit. Anyone remember? I've already scanned the pic (it's from 2003) and even bought Sir Scrap Alot's "Digi Divia's as Princesses" for it.

ngneer -- I love your LO. Great colors and use of embellishments! Love your title.

Maileeh -- Great LO! I totally scraplifted that from Disney Baby a while back too! (Except I could not rememeber where I saw it or who did the LO, so I did not give proper credit! :scared1:) Now I know! It's a great design!! :)

Cool! I like the scraplift challenge idea. I never got to do last week's challenge, so I plan to jump right in and make sure I do this one!! I like having the pics throughout the thread. I never looked at them on the first page of the thread.

Off to Flickr to get some inspiration!!

Marileeh - Totally cute! LOVE your take on the lift!!! The paint strokes look awesome.

Wendy - I remember what LO you are talking about. But I don't think its in the Flickr group's pool. I did a search for it but its not there. Maybe you can find it in the pool!

ngneer98 - Love the LO and the colors.

Tinker326 - I love WL and also AKL. We were able to go quite a few times last year because my daughter did The Disney College Program and we got a terrific discount.

Britt - Thanks for your kind words....the other page I had in mind was one I scraplifted from you. I did your Fantasmic page a while back. Yours was awesome.

I'm going to do one for sure! I just haven't had time to work on it yet. I did browse Flickr today to get some ideas. I also uploaded the rest of my LO's that weren't there yet. I think we're getting into nicer weather and people are on the computer less, maybe? I also think we get more people when we have a participation gift. That seems to bring folks out in droves! I certainly don't expect us to have one all the time, but I do think we see higher participation in those challenges. I could try making something to give away for a future challenge. Maybe not for the next one, but sometime soon. I have no idea what I'd make, but I'd be glad to take a shot at something!!

This was the hardest challenge for me so far! First, it took a while to decide which LO to scraplift, since there are so many great LOs in the flickr group (which reminds me, I guess I have to join!?) After I finally decided which to use, then I had to decide what I wanted to scrap, and I went through 3 ideas before finally settling on this one. I'm kind of a fly by the seat of my pants scrapper, I just move things around to see what I like, so trying to remain close to the inspiration LO was also tough for me. In the end, though, I like the result, and that's worth all the work!

I scraplifted Britt's Princess Peekaboo LO here:

Maybe not for the next one, but sometime soon. I have no idea what I'd make, but I'd be glad to take a shot at something!! You make some excellent points. I was also thinking about what I could make as a participation gift for the next time I host. It wouldn't be a kit or anything, but there are other things I was thinking about. And as I mentioned before with summer almost here it seems that more people will be gone at different points for family trips, Disney, etc. I enjoy the challenges and don't want them to end anytime soon.

I love it! If you want to make your image show up, just go back and edit your post. Find the button that has the picture of the mountain on it and paste the URL of the picture into the box that pops up. Then your picture should be in the post. It looks like you already know how to make links, so pictures should be easy!

loveGoofy - I LOVE your title. The "courtesy of" is so clever!! REALLY really cute page!! :) thanks for lifting me. it's so flattering! :bitelip:

labdogs - JESS! This gave me CHILLS. You best be sending this to me for show offs. I LOVE IT!! Man, it chokes me up a bit. Wow. Ok - I'm such a Disney geek.

Tinker326 - Oh no! Unrecoverable hard drive!! :( That SUCKS!! Email me and we'll see what we can do about getting you back the stuff of mine you may have lost. OK?? I LOVE this LO! A fun lift. This shows that lifting doesn't REALLY have to be a total copy cat! You know? I LOVE it. Great job.

Bernie-Ann - LOVE your take on my LO! It's just precious. That photo is soooo full of magic. Gosh I love it.

WHAT FUN! So many awesome LOs. Sorry again for being so MIA. I don't know what my problem is lately. I've been sorta out of juice or something.

Britt -- of COURSE I will send you that Lo as a Show-off! I'll do that now so I don't forget!!!

Tink -- Sorry to hear about your hard drive. Did I already tell you the same thing happened to me at Christmas? Now I put all my pictures on three harddrives, backup my computer with Carbonite, and store pics online at SmugMug. I'm a little over the top now, but I'm covered!

My internet has been giving me fits lately, but at least I got this finished. I scraplifted a LO from scoma which happened to be a QP from Britt's "Leave the World Behind" kit. It just really appealled to me. You can see it here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/18795504@N03/2497321342/in/pool-disneydigiscrappers).

Here is my version.

Here I come...way late and rushed! My computer totally died on me (ouch) and we got a new one...I barely made it!
i scraplifted from Fran98765 from a pic of hers in Epcot. I liked how the photos really told the story and I swiped the idea, but I do think hers is better because of the contrast between the papers and photos she used. I am just rushing in here under the gun! LOL
Fran you have a lot of great pages, by the way!

Here is my version - I used shabby princess free holiday sampler

At the Playhouse Disney theater at Disney's Hollywood Studios, on extra magic hours evenings they have a dance party for the younger crowd and the characters come and dance with them and they drop tons of bubbles and balloon animals and lots of fun stuff!

Sleepingbean, thanks for lifting my England page, you did a fab job on it! I love the big border around it. FYI it was a long time ago that I made that page, but I think it was from a scraplift challenge at some site, so it was a lift as well! :)

These are great LOs everyone!

Fran -- I can't believe you finished a LO for the challenge even though you just returned from vacation! You are amazing, but we already knew that!

Britt -- my DH has been using the main computer every evening for the past 1 1/2 writing a grant for work, so I have not been able to participate in the last couple challenges (including this one) I have this laptop, but all the kits/etc are on the main computer. Hopefully, he'll be done soon because these challenges are the only way I get any LOs done . . . so, in response to a question you asked on an earlier post -- YES, PLEASE KEEP THE CHALLENGES GOING!! By the way, I did that nerd-quiz from your blog the other day. It was fun to do, but, I am too embarrassed to tell you my score, but at least I can safely say that I DON'T have a periodic table on the bedroom wall!

I wish I could give thoughtful comments to everyone, but I can't come up with that many original things to say. ;) Every challenge, I can't believe how beautiful & unique everyone's LOs are! So a big YAY for everyone! :D

wenrob-I'm so glad you did that LO, even though you only had the original LO in your head until someone else found it. I really love it!

Pooh46-Sometimes when I'm reading fast, I switch around letters. I could have sworn your title said "Tipsy Tinkerbell," and I was thinking, how very un-Disney is that! ;) I think I'm going to have to visit that store next trip!

I just noticed that you used the same two blue papers on your layout that I used on my Wishes lo! I guess I sort of double scraplifted you!! How weird is that??
