are there blow dryers and coffee makers in the SSR rooms? This is our first stay with our DVC points. Anything we should bring that's not on the usual packing lists?

Yes, all DVC villas have blow dryers and coffee makers.

We always bring ground Starbucks coffee (as we drink only decaf, and you can't get get decaf grounds from SSR's store) as well as basket (not cone) coffee filters for their 12-cup pots. Regardless of decaf or not, I would still bring your own ground coffee to get the brand you like.

They don't supply you with a lot of filters. They do supply a good deal of sugar, artificial sweetner and powdered creamer though.

Ok, that's what I figured but I have a dh who stresses over details. Thanks for the tip about the filters. I'll pack some extras. Y'all are great!

Dear Husband and I don't go anywhere without our morning cup of coffee. The first one up puts on the pot.
It's a little more expensive, though is hassle free, I buy Maxwell House filter packs to take along. I plan one per day plus 2 extra - just in case we'd like some in the evening, too.
I usually buy the BIG box from Sam's club and freeze what I don't immediately need. We just used up our last, last month. Come October, I'll be buying more. We're not particularly fond of the coffee available at the resorts.....
