Hey everybody. I'm just starting a thread cause I want to see everyones collection of Donald pins. Anything with Donald is fine and I'm also interested in seeing some rare others or pins from DL and DLHK and places like that. So have fun and enjoy my small but growing collection. :donald:

How/where did you get the Pirate Rubber Duck Donald? Is this a new cast member-only pin? Thanks for the info!

I just started pin trading in June so I only have one donald pin :o

But it's a LE Donald Crest pin. I got it at the Disney Pin store in Downtown Disney.

I'll update it with a picture when I have more posts :D

It is what's called a completer pin. I found it on ebay and my wife bought it for me cause she is the best. Plus she is jealous of my Donalds but won't admit it.

Now that I'm really into it, I'll be spending a lot of time at the pin kiosks and a lot of time buying cool pins. What is a completer pin? It finishes a set? Does this just mean any particular pin in the set that you buy last and finish off the set with, or is there a specially designated completer pin that has some big significance?

My collection really took off in May when we were there for our wedding. I went down with 5 Donald pins and came home with 65. I bought more on ebay through the months though. Completer pins are pins not in the regular mystery packs. You can buy them separately for $1 after spending $30 or more at a pin location. Either that or find them through trading. Not every set out there has completer pins though, I believe only a handful have them, like 5 or 6 sets. However many mystery 2 packs are out, there is a completer pin. At least that is what I have seen.

On a side note, we are here at WDW now on vacation and I have been trading some. I've kinda hit a wall cause I can't find any that I don't have but I did find a few. I am up to 76 I think. See yas later and I will post my new ones. I found rare ones like Sedenas and such.

Well after our 3rd day in Disney so far I have accumulated 16 more Donald pins. One was a pin I traded with someone who brought their collection in to the pin station at Epcot, which turned out to be a pin made in England in the 70's. He was a very nice man and said he would trade for anything I had since I was so nice and he had an extra. I will be sure to post pics of my new ones at the end of the trip. Well my wife is making me go to Downtown Disney right now at 8:30 at night cause we are at Saratoga Springs and it is only a 5 minute walk away. I don't know how she does it but being on her feet from 7am to 1am has little to no affect on her. She is a freak haha.

Those "completer pins"...if you are traveling any time soon, you can buy one for $1 if you spend $30 in pin purchases at any of the pin stands in the parks. I got the rubber ducky donald at the store under the hat in DHS just last month.

Yes, I was eventually going to post this information since I am currently at WDW at the moment. But yes it is true, at all pin stores you have the option to buy completer pins with purchases of $30 or more. There are 6 sets you can buy them for including, Buzz Lightyear on a car, the second Saimese cat, Jasmine for the princesses, a different color Mickey pin traders pin and a ghost bust for the Haunted Mansion set.

Does anyone remember the "Share the Magic" Donald Pins they gave out for processing 3 rolls of film at the camera center showed Donald struggling with a 35MM camera!

We have a few dozen with Donald in them as he's my DH's favorite. But our favorite is Angry Donald, the Mystery Pin #4 from the year 2000 if I remember right.
