But I just had to share this with you guys. Mainly because this is my favourite board & I'm ridiculously happy about it...
After two months of "negotiating," I finally convinced DH we should get another puppy! Finally, last week, we brought home Liam, a 4 1/2 month old Labrador/Chesapeake Retriever. He's the sweetest, most placid puppy in the world. Although he does have a distressing tendency to think that ANYTHING might be potential food!
DH took 57 pictures of the furbabies, and this is the best one he got (other than the one in my sig). So Liam joins our little family of Maggie (15 y/o Lab-Husky) & Riley (3 y/o Border Collie).

I apologize for the size of the photo - I just could NOT get it smaller (I'm obviously missing something simple)

oh man are they evil, my little girl that is mostly black lab woke me up this morning with a cold nose to the feet... she can be very insistent when she wants attention. And just wait for the first time he brings you a rabbit. you will be proud and a little creeped out at the same time.

Unfortunately Riley has already done that. I don't think we'll have that prob with Liam. His idea of a good time seems to be rolling around in the grass! He does however, like to try & steal my socks WHILE i'm putting them on!

He's adorable! Just wondering though....he looks as though he's got more of a hound head than lab or retreiver to me in those pics. Those long ears and expressive forehead look very hound-ish to me. If he starts baying.....

Congrats on the new puppy!!
My kids have been bugging me for another puppy. Even more so now that my neighbors across the street just got two!!
We already have 2 (a mutt and a Doberman). I would want another Doberman but my youngest wants a "lap dog".
My Dobie brought me a mole the other day. she was so proud and so was I - I hate them dang moles!!!
Have fun with the puppy!!!

That is a great combination for a puppy, a Lab and a Chessie. I hope your family and Liam have many happy years together... Oh yeah, pick up all your shoes off the floor! ;)

We were actually wondering if he might have some Irish Setter. So far no baying, but who knows! Whatever he is, we love him!

Now THAT I had discovered. Riley (the Border) never chewed shoes! The couch, yes, not shoes. Liam likes to walk around with pretty much anything in his sharp little puppy teeth!

What a total cutie! Congratulations on the adorable addition to your family! My wife really wants us to get a puppy to "keep our current dog happy". Well, she's got 4 cats to play with, so I say our house is closed!

Congrats on the new furbaby!!
I am a person that was raised with dogs, and after being married turned into a cat person. We finally found a couple of dog breeds that tempt me to at least THINK about getting back into being a dog person again (Westie or Pomeranian or Pomeagle). Reading all the posts reminds me of the chewing and puppy teeth that go along with the deal. Good thing they are so cute with those big eyes lookin at you to help get through those first couple of years.
Enjoy!! :)

We have three labs. They'll retreive anything, even when you don't want them to. I don't know what I'd do without them!
