Well, MY day was interesting. We have BATS in our new house :scared1: Last night the kids heard some squealing in family room at the peak of the house where the biggest log support is. I thought maybe it was just the ceiling fan. Then this morning near the window was something that looked like mouse droppings. :headache: We had some 60 mph winds come through last night and I was hoping maybe the wind got up there and just blew some "old" stuff in. WRONG.
My mom and stepdad, and dad and stepmom were all over this afternoon to see the new house. We are showing them around the first floor when my oldest started SCREAMING "there's a BAT in my room". So everyone runs upstairs and sure enough, there is a dead bat lying on her bedroom floor. We think maybe the cat killed it last night while we were sleeping and was bringing it out to show us her "kill".
On top of that....our dog found a pile of CRAP outside and decided it would be fun to roll around in it !!
I am so ready to go to bed and put this day behind me. I have to be up at 3:30am tomorrow morning so we can be at the school by 4:15 and get on the buses. After stopping at the Flight 93 memorial and Gettysburg we should be at our hotel tomorrow night by 10:00. I'm have my laptop with me ;)

Wow Shannone, yuck doesn't even justify that. Do they have local bat removal service in your area? I know down here in Florida, the people that remove bats go all over the country. Apparently it is not an easy job to get them to stay out because of the scent markings. I wish you well. If you can't find someone up there, let me know with a pm and I can give you the number of the experts down here.
I did a whole bunch of nothing this weekend and loved it. (Took DS to a birthday party, but other than that, nothin') Now, DH is off for two days and work begins tomorrow. (DH gets to watch DS) Tomorrow is finding out why the golf cart trailer has a flat and why I have a vibration with my brand spanking new tires on my jeep at 52mph. Oh, and I have to remake my mickey lamp globes.

We took out our new TT this weekend for the first time. We went to the beach. Had a great time. But man I am tired. My parent came down and stayed with us. On the way home they had a blow out so they called triple A. They where told it would be 3 hrs before someone would be there. So me and the DW turned around and changed there tire man it was HOT.

Okay, so I jinxed myself. Last night we spent 2 hours in the basement because of water. Thank goodness DS was down there and noticed it early. Our sump pump clogged and water started coming in. If anyone sees the news, MSNBC has it on. Lake Delton in central Wisconsin has gone over it's banks and is flowing into the Wisconsin River. Houses are being washed into the river. We are supposed to go camping up there this weekend for a family reunion. The campground has called because they were hit really bad with the storms and will let us know if they can accomodate us later in the week. The state is really a mess right now!

So, how many of you have been affected by the tomato recall? We went out to lunch today at work, and we couldn't order anything at the restaurant that was tomato based, and there were no tomatoes on our salads.
I just read a couple hours ago that McDonalds has now stopped using sliced tomatoes nationwide, and that Winn Dixie and other chains are pulling all tomatoes from their stores.
To be honest, I had no clue it was even going on, but my friend said that he went to two grocery stores looking for tomatoes and couldn't find any. It was funny listening to the waiter tell us no we couldn't have any chili because it was tomato based, crazy times.

Yea, I'm surprised that the mainstream news isn't picking up more on this story, I mean to me, the fact that mainstream restaurants and chains are not serving them, and that grocery stores are pulling them from shelves, I just don't know why it's not all over the news.
Remember when there was a salad recall a while ago? That was all over the news, and I still barely see this story on any of the main news sites. I don't really understand what gives with this, why isn't this more of a story?

I know here in Texas there is a big tomato recall due to a salmonella (sp?) outbreak that has been linked to tomatoes. You can't find any at the store or at restaurants right now. There are 2 girls on my daughter's gym team that they believe got the illness from eating tomatoes.
Colson39
06-09-2008, 04:26 PM
Yea, there have been 143 cases of salmonella since April, including 23 that sent people to the hospital. It's been traced back to bad tomatoes from some places, but they're not sure exactly where, so now places are starting to pull them until they can figure it out.
It's not all tomatoes, and it depends on where they're from. I do know that Florida is a large tomato producing state, and that Florida is one of the states that they haven't ruled out yet.
Here is an article...
http://www.fda.gov/oc/opacom/hottopics/tomatoes.html
The Food and Drug Administration is alerting consumers nationwide that a salmonellosis outbreak appears to be linked to consumption of certain types of raw red tomatoes and products containing raw red tomatoes. The bacteria causing the illnesses are Salmonella serotype Saintpaul, an uncommon type of Salmonella.
The specific type and source of tomatoes are under investigation. However, preliminary data suggest that raw red plum, raw red Roma, or raw round red tomatoes are the cause. At this time, consumers should limit their tomato consumption to tomatoes that have not been implicated in the outbreak. These include cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes, tomatoes sold with the vine still attached, and tomatoes grown at home.
The Food and Drug Administration has expanded its warning to consumers nationwide that a salmonellosis outbreak has been linked to consumption of certain raw, red tomatoes.
At this time, FDA is advising consumers to limit their consumption of tomatoes to the following types of tomatoes. The following types of tomatoes listed below are NOT likely to be the source of this outbreak.
* cherry tomatoes
* grape tomatoes
* tomatoes sold with the vine still attached
* tomatoes grown at home
Also, FDA recommends consuming raw red plum, raw red Roma, or raw red round tomatoes only if grown and harvested from the following areas that HAVE NOT BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH THE OUTBREAK:
Arkansas
California
Georgia
Hawaii
North Carolina
South Carolina
Tennessee
Texas
Belgium
Canada
Dominican Republic
Guatemala
Israel
Netherlands
Puerto Rico
Consumers who are unsure of where the tomatoes are from that they have in their home are encouraged to contact the store or place of purchase for that information.
Consumers should also be aware that raw tomatoes are often used in the preparation of fresh salsa, guacamole, and pico de gallo, are part of fillings for tortillas, and are used in other dishes.
Restaurants, grocery stores, and food service operators have been advised by the FDA not to offer for sale or service raw red plum, Roma, or red tomatoes and products made from these types of tomatoes unless they are from one of the areas listed above.
Since mid April, there have been 145 reported cases of salmonellosis nationwide caused by Salmonella Saintpaul, an uncommon form of Salmonella. At least 23 hospitalizations have been reported.

Look at me
You may think you see
Who I really am
But you'll never know me

It's as if I play a part
Now I see
If I wear a mask
I can fool the world
But I cannot fool my heart

Is there such a thing as a rubber sock?
I'm gonna go out a limb here and say that I believe you are referring to your daughter hurting her foot...and you're looking for a waterproof cover of some sort?
I know they did offer something for broken arms...maybe you could just put that on her foot. Although I should tell you it wasn't that great..and I would imagine with the foot, it would be ALOT more difficult to prevent the water from getting in if she were going into the pool or bath. Probably shower..and sprinkler to cool off for now. Hope she's feeling better soon.

Get your brains out of the toilet. My DD has stitches in her foot. She is not supposed to emerge them in the water. Given that its 90 million degrees outside and we have a pool, she wants to go swimming. I've tried waterproof bandages, but the proximity of the stitches to her toes makes them hard to use and stay on. Sooooooo.......is there such a thing as a rubber sock?????? Like a rubber glove, but for feet????? We've tried plastic bags, but they don't stay on too well either. I'm thinking a rubber sock would be perfect.

Your DD needs one of these. I had it for my two previous foot surgeries and I used it when my son sliced his hand open on my fabric die cutters. I am more than willing to loan it to you or you can go to the local podiatrist and pick one up.

i would think that those wouldn't work because they do let water in, they are like a wet suit, keep the feet warm, but not necessarily dry

As I said earlier..maybe you could go to your local pharmacy..or even a medical suppy would be better. They did have something that my daughter was able to put over her arm when it was casted. She broke it on Father's day a few years back..and then we had SIX WEEKS of a cast in the heat of a summer. Maybe you'd be able to use it on her foot. I'd try it on the good foot first..and see that it worked before chancing it on the stitched foot. Hope this helps. ;)

Seabee- How's Jim? How are YOU holding up? Have you checked into that campground yet? Is there anything you need that WE could help you with? I know you are all the way up in Maine and all....but a care package? Something? I feel so helplessly wanting to help you, here!
Thanks for thinking of us. Jim is alright. Right now we are just waiting for surgery on Thursday. I am quite irritated however that he is starting to get "spots" on his butt. He has been injured now for 5 years, and we had not ONE mark on his skin. I am the butt nazi so to speak, and now he is getting the starting of sores.:furious: The problem is that I haven't been there as much for the last 3 days. I think the nurses have gotten use to me being there and turning him. I told his nurse tonight that I wanted him turned every 2 hours. I told her, I haven't had anything on his skin in 5 years, we aren't starting now. Of course he is in his chair all the time here, and not laying in a bed. And we also found out that the doctor isn't going to be able to get both kidney's done in one swoop, so it looks like possibly 2 more surgeries after this one.:faint: I want him to come home, I just feel like being in that bed for so long is going to lead to other problems that we don't need. I can't wait for school to be done so that I can be more on top of what is going on down there.
I did check into the campground. Range Pond Campground in Poland, ME.The camper is there right now actually. We figured it was actually cheaper for us to reserve the site for 6 weeks starting now, and not use it every night, then it would be to get a hotel room for the nights I would need until the girls are out of school. The campground is nothing spectacular but it is nice, and there are a lot of kids. Our site is huge, you probably could fit 2 trailers there. I will have to take a pic when we are finally "moved" in. I have to get a new rug to put under the awning. Any suggestions where I can get one for not an astronomical price? I checked Wal-Mart today but they didn't have any.

Nicole-
As I was reading your message about Jim, I was having "flash-backs" to caring for my mom. She had surgery on her spine for cancer and the nurses at the "care-less" re-hab center she went to following surgery did not properly treat her incision site and it started to infect after only 3 days!! I created quite an ugly scene with the head nurse and the director of the re-hab center and...voila! She started getting the care she needed. It makes me sick to think of people who have no family to watch over them and how some health care professionals ultimately ignore them.
You have to be on the ragged edge by now, Nicole. I wish there were some way I could help ease your burden. I will be praying for your whole family, and especially Jim. Thank you for keeping us posted.

There was footage on last night's news of a lovely home somewhere in Wisconsin that was swept away in a river. It was horrifying to watch someone's whole home and possessions disappear in 1 minute or less. Last year here in Lakeland, Fl, a very large lake disappeared due to a sink hole. No homes were lost, but they did show film footage of lake critters getting sucked into the sinkhole. It was awful.
I'm so glad that things were not so desperate for you & yours.

Thanks guys. I didn't mean to sound so negative. I just reread my post. All though that was an accurate recap of the evening. I think the fact that we had a nurse we don't like added to it. She is nice enough, but she comes across as high and mighty to me. Like she knows more about Jim than I do because I don't have RN after my name. Except for the turning issue he really is getting good care. Better than the VA that's for sure. So we "enlightened" them and I hope it will be better. I also had to fight to have him taken off a heart pill. For a while after his first surgery his blood pressure was REALLY high, which is normal for quads when they have pain past their injury level. So they put him on a pill to control it. Well, he has calmed down now and they are still giving it to him. But he is acting all drunk and loopy. Which is fine on a weekend at a BBQ but not now.:) Last night his blood pressure was pretty low, and THE nurse was going to give it to him again, I wouldn't let her. So now it says on his report that I refused the pill for him. Whatever. His doc came in this morning and took him off it. Stupid nurse. One more thing for her not to like me about. He just called me and he has one of the nurses we really like today so all should be good. To be honest I think there are only 2 that we don't care for, so that isn't bad, and the docs are superb. Sorry to go on and on. I haven't talked to many people lately.:) Thanks again guys!!
Ami-I hope your DD is doing ok. It stinks when it is hot and you can't cool off. My DD sliced her foot last summer and had to stay out of the pool for a bit. You would have thought we were torturing her.
Jim-I hope your arm is healing.

Rog this is common in health care, every year there are more and more responsibilities placed on the health care workers and fewer of them. It just comes down to the fact that hosptals have too many administrators trying to figure out why things arent getting done, so they lay off more actual workers and hire more administrators and the cycle repeats. If seabee wasnt there to advocate for her husband there is no telling what would happen (or wouldnt in their case)

You are so right Scott. That is exactly what is going on. Those nurses are running around crazy. Many of them have 4-5 patients under them. How can you do everything for all of them. That's why I try to be there as much as I can. I really feel for those who don't have anyone coming in regularly. I try to take some of the work load off the nurses since they do have so many people to take care of, but when I'm not there I think they "forget" to do stuff for Jim because they normally don't have to. Its a hard situation for all. Not enough time for the nurses and caregivers, and patients not getting everything they really should be. We will just hope for a faster recovery than expected and a quicker return home. Now I'm off to get my DD9 who just called from school-she's sick. Good Lord!!!

Some more info on the tomato problem.....
MIAMI (Reuters) - Florida's tomato industry is in "complete collapse" and $40 million worth of tomatoes will rot unless federal regulators quickly trace the source of a salmonella outbreak and clear the state's produce, an industry official said on Tuesday.
"We probably have $40 million worth of product we can't sell. We've had to stop packing, stop picking," said Reggie Brown, executive vice president of the Florida Tomato Growers Exchange.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Saturday warned U.S. consumers that the outbreak was linked to eating certain raw red plum, red Roma, and red round tomatoes, and products containing these tomatoes. Several major restaurant and grocery chains have stopped selling those varieties.
"It fundamentally shut down the industry," he said. "The stuff that should have been harvested over the weekend won't survive more than another day or so. The stuff we have in storage is getting riper every minute and at some point it will have to be disposed of."
Florida is the largest tomato-producing state, with a crop valued at $500 million to $700 million annually, he said. The state produces more than 90 percent of the nation's tomatoes this time of year, Brown said.

The really disconcerting thing about the Great Tomato Scare of 2008 is... there were how many reports of Salmonella poisoning? 147 - mostly in the southwest??? Out of 304 million people? That's like 4/10 of one percent of the population. Have you ever had an upset stomach, coupled with heaving & well.... the other end? Then you probably had salmonella. No big deal unless you're elderly, under the age of 5, or have a compromised immune system.
The tomato farmers in Ruskin Florida had a huge bumper crop of tomatoes this year, which would lower the cost, and they would lose money. Hmmmm (says Mr. Tomato Farmer) .... I've got an idea!!! Let's tell everyone in the whole country that our tomatoes have been POISONED!!! Throw away any tomatoes and tomato products you have in your household and wait until next week to buy your tomatoes. The tomatoes we sell next week will be free of the dreaded salmonellosis bacteria & all will be well. (Oh yes, we can grow tomatoes from seed to fully ripened in only 5 days!):furious:

A lot of our produce comes from central and south america now. They routinely fertilize with human waste down there, and the human population suffers from a variety of intestinal problems - bacterial and parasite origin. It's sort of like the lead problem from China - how long are we going to allow our health to suffer in the interest of free trade? Perhaps the tomato problem didn't originate in central or south america, but i wonder every time i go to the grocery store and see the country of origin on the produce. By the way, has anyone heard about the lead in dental crowns being made in China??? You might ask your dentist the next time you need a crown where the lab is that he/she uses.

Thanks. I just started ripping mine out! :cool1:
We just got a notification of this a week or so ago at the VA hospital where I work. The lead content in these crowns is 3-4 times the amount in the paint on the toys, and the health concerns are much worse considering they are cemented in your mouth, constantly releasing the lead. Foreign labs are frequently used by dentists because of the low cost, and with today's delivery systems (FedEX and UPS), shipping is quick allowing for fast service. There is a lab in China which employs about 300 technicians - over 75% of their work is from the US.

Nicole, I really feel for you. My mother had Alzheimer's and when I finally had to move her from my home to the nursing home I ended up spending almost as much time with her there just to be sure she was getting the help she needed.
Granted, your DH is in a hospital and not a nursing home so hopefully you can be even more diligent for a shorter period of time. Hope that time is VERY short, I'm sure he'd be tons more comfortable at home with his girls.
My brother-in-law is a nurse down in Houston. It's true, too many admins and not enough worker bees that really care. He gets discouraged often, and he loves his job. He's moving to another hospital because of similar matters.
Hang in there. You have no idea how many people are praying for you. There's lots of lurkers on this particular thread as you probably well know. They may not post, but they are thinking of you.
Now, on a lighter note... tried the Kungaloosh recipe the other night... mmmmmmm. I'll be sharing that with friends at our next pool party. We have a mishmash of wood out back that will eventually become our new deck. The ground around here is pretty much like rock. Nothing a little jackhammer won't fix. Good ol' Texas.

Good Lord me too, why are my tomatoes taking so long this year to ripe ?

Well, I made it to Orlando. I was supposed to arrive around 11 p.m. but, due to delays out of Phill (I detest that airport) we pushed back from the gate almost an hour late and sat on the runway for another half hour. Got to my hotel around 1 a.m. Monday morning. I am catching up with friends from all over the world this week. So far I have seen friends from Peru, Canada, Germany, Holland, Brazil, Australia and the UK. Pretty good conference so far.
I plan to head over to the Fort on Friday before I fly home. I will put in a loop request. Then Saturday morning, SWMBO and I load the kids in the MH and it is back on the road, back to Orlando and Disney.
For those at the Fort (or in the parks) at this very moment, hope you are staying dry. It is raining merry hell outside right now.
Now I just have to figure out how to catch up on all the posts here since I was last on. You people can TYPE :worship: :rotfl2:

A lot of our produce comes from central and south america now. They routinely fertilize with human waste down there, and the human population suffers from a variety of intestinal problems - bacterial and parasite origin. It's sort of like the lead problem from China - how long are we going to allow our health to suffer in the interest of free trade? Perhaps the tomato problem didn't originate in central or south america, but i wonder every time i go to the grocery store and see the country of origin on the produce. By the way, has anyone heard about the lead in dental crowns being made in China??? You might ask your dentist the next time you need a crown where the lab is that he/she uses.
didn't they say that when the crown is ground down, mercury is ingested through the nose from the air? maybe different story, but if i need dental work and something has to come out (like a filling or crown) I am definitely asking before the drill gets a whirring!

That's why we drink it here
And when we're all gone from here
Our friends will be drinking all the beer.
In Heaven there is no wine
(No wine?!)
So we drink till we feel fine
And when we leave this all behind
Our friends will be drinking all the wine.
In Heaven there is no fear
(No fear)
So we worry too much here
And we drink ourselves full of beer
To help us when we deal with the fear.
In Heaven there are no drugs
(No Drugs?)
That's why we hang with thugs
And when the Lord pulls the plug
All the thugs will still be selling drugs, yeah.
In Heaven there are no carts
(No Carts?)
Because there are no old farts
At the Fort we all do our part
Drinking beer and drive the loops in custom carts.
Can anyone come up with a verse for Kungaloosh? I'm having a brain fart on that one!!

being in health care and reading the recent comments i can say I have to agree with all comments! I work as a PT in a rehab and we find a lot of times we need to enlighten the nursing staff that things aren't getting done! We ALWAYS encourage family to come in and be part of the rehab process and know what is going on with their loved ones!!! We frequently find sores as they start and get them seen to before they worsen...and we EDUCATE family in what to look for and to be sure and look!!!! I have to say that Nicole is doing and absolute wonderful job of caring for her hubby and I greatly admire her determination to keep life as normal for her family as she can given her huge demands!!!!I have 18 patients a day and also a student in training...she is learning first hand how to be an advocate for her charges!!!! I'm also seeing a sad and scary trend...Few new nurses showing up to replace the older ones ready to retire. I'm sure I won't be retiring until I simply can't do my job any longer!!! :(

I think I will need a diet to fit into my uniform.
I was never at Lewis, but have heard good things about it.
I am not sure what branch he is interested in, he is a computer jock. I think he is leaning towards ADA or Signal.
I was surprised when he applied for the scholarship, since I didn't think he had the slightest interest in the Army. Even more surprising, he is going to my Alma Mater and stayed in the same dorm I did freshman year. Freaky.

Took my two little ones fishing on the river behind my parents house a while back on a weeknight. Tried the ole' teach 'em how to cast routine, stuck a rubber worm on the end of a too-small hook with a big ole bobber sitting just a foot above the hook. You know, the kind of set-up that could hardly snag a tree limb, never mind a fish; just so they could get the hang of how to cast without catching the back of their head. Wouldn't you know my daughter caught a trout with that set-up? First darn cast! I'm over a ways trying to get the little guy set-up and my daughter's complaining that she can't see the bobber any more. I'm figuring it's in the bushes or something. Nope. Snagged herself one of the most hungry and desperate trout that ever lived. 15 years of fishing that river myself with no luck and she catches something on the first cast. :worship:
Now she can't wait to get out there when we go camping. Had me on the lake at 7:00am the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.
Next trip is off to the beach for 4th of July week - the family will stay at the CG and I'll commute to work each day from there to save precious vacation days for our trip to the Fort in August! WooHoo - 51 days and counting down.

Ah....fishing! I sure miss it! Growing up the youngest of 5 kids with 3 older brothers and a dad who loved all things on the water (fishing, boating, skiing etc)...I sure do miss it! I may be a girly girl, but I do love being on the lake fishing! Check out this pic I found...me around 2-3 years old. Check out our camper...ah, so many good memories! :goodvibes Now that's a "mess o fish"! :goodvibes

here is the trick you start off by saying your leaving at 4am then you compromise at 6am and they think they got to sleep in. Frank does this to me all the time.

Well...not in a house I havent!!! For some reason...ALL my girls were just kinda "naturals"! It took me about a dozen casts or so to teach them how and where to release the thumb button, but once they got that down...they actually aim waay better than me. I started teaching them at 3 or 4...but they were 8 or 9 before they learned to put their own worms on!!!!!
Let CJ throw that rubber fish all over, he'll get it. Wait till he pulls his first real fish in....it'll be on, baby!! Teach em young!! Most of my best and oldest memories of my dad are of us fishing. He took us all the time...always knew these great backwood dirt roads with streams at the end of them.....I never was much good at catching, heck I just caught my first bass at almost 40yrs old!!! But its never stopped me from casting the line in.

I grew up my entire life on one or another body of water in Alabama. We went boating/ fishing/ or canoeing every weekend. I've always loved any activity and still do...with my job on the road and camping as I go I always try to find a location on or near the water....this time its only a pool:worried: but its water lol...A patient asked me today if I liked to go fishing, I said yes..he said do you OWN your own pole...yes again, do you bait your own hook...yes again...then I blew him away...I said my pole is PINK and Purple....lol he said ICK you really are a girly girl...I just laughed and moved on....fun for a few min. in the middle of my bust **** day!!!

Okay...I'm gonna scream here...I just checked my credit card statement because I thought something was "off". It was off all right. It seems that the card I gave my daughter to use back in the beginning of April to pick up a present for my nephew, has been used repeatedly since. BY HER!
I never even thought to get it back. I do let her use it now and then if she needs books or something for school....or emergencies.
Apparently, she has emergencies sucking down Mocha lattes in Starbucks twice a week! In addition to stops at the gas station. Well, that doesn't sound soo bad you say...gas. Well, it wouldn't be bad except for the fact that I've been giving her CASH for gas! :furious: Sooo....what do you suppose she's been doing with the cash.
Spending it on her POS boyfriend maybe?....Lord help me, because tonight I want to kick her behind from here...to somewhere else! Here I'm thinking let me throw her a little cash, because she's working so hard in school. Got her grades back up after a CRASH last semester( Mr. POS again! ). She seemed to be back on track..and getting her priorities strait. We just ignore the boyfriend, and pray on a daily basis that he is swallowed up by the earth. Hey...it COULD happen ya know!:rolleyes1
It's probably a good thing her father is sleeping and she isn't home. I am going to have her pay this back...every freakin' cent. I mean it's not a fortune..but a $180.00 without asking...I DON"T THINK SO.:sad2:

DH did something similar with Jake last summer. They were out fishing and hadn't caught anything all weekend. DH is (again) untangling his line from getting caught on a stump, when Jake's bobber goes down. Thinking it's yet another of numerous logs, he tells him to wait, but Jake can't hold on. Ends us being some 20+ inch something or other, I forget what kind of fish it was, but Jake still talks about the "fish Dad thought was a log." :rotfl:

The multi-quote option is done by clicking on the icon in the lower right hand corner that has the quotation marks (not the word "quote"), it will let you click on multiple messages, then you click on "Post Reply" and it fills in the reply area with all the prior messages you are quoting.

Auntie...your daughters POS boyfriend sounds like my sisters ex. We all hated him, but would she leave him????? NO! Well, she did sometimes but would always go back. One day, she called me in hysterics, wanting to move out but not having the money to. We told her we would give her the money to move but if she ever went back to him we'd take it out of her butt and I'd disown her as a sister (empty threats, but still...). It worked! He is still in her life because they have children together (those poor babies!!!!), but she is happily married to someone much more acceptable now.
So, maybe you tell her you'll forget about the $180 dollars if she kicks him to the curb????

When my oldest daughter started bringing boy friends around, if I didn't like them, I'd sit on the back step sharpening my kbar. It worked pretty well. They never knew what to expect from me partly because of my military background. Hell, sometime I wore my BDUs and camouflage face paint Most of them were downright scared of me. Fear can be a good thing at times.
