Actually it's a mini of the 1998 hess rv. We bought one new in the box on Ebay last year and my son loves it. Thanks for mentioning this, my dad likes to get him the mini's and he was excited to see it was the RV!! His reward for a great report card!!

Maybe he'll get lucky like I was and end up having them accidentally give him a "Over 21" stamp and background on his license (even though I was only 17 when I got it).

Let's just say that I never had the need for a fake ID in college....lol. People just see the blue background (under 21 had yellow background) and the over 21 stamp (old Florida license) and wouldn't even look at my age.

Speaking of, it's time for me to get a new one. I've been putting it off for a decade now, in fact, when people see my ID they can't believe I still have such an old one. It's going to be weird when I finally do get a new one, it's like a part of your history.

Okay I just got an email from Disney - they are having auditions next Thursday for character look a likes. they pay 11.25 an hour, which i think is a pay raise for me and maybe something retired military guys like Al and i could get into. Here is a closeup of my pride and joy, our Rose and Crown drawing. We actually got it 2 or 3 years ago at one of the Food and Wine festivals, it was the only time I've seen it. They had it along with some drawings of various places in Disney, but it was limited. The second I saw it was the Rose and Crown, I knew I had to have it! We actually got it signed by the artist, I can't tell you how much I love just to stare at this sometimes...lol.

Don't know if you guys know this, but you can go online at Disney's website, and actually order a map of the parks (invididual or like this one, where it's all of Disney), and they will personalize it with your family name (if you look in the upper right hand side, you can see where it says "Olson Family", and mail it to you. I made the frame, it just comes in a square, so you'll have to either buy a frame or make one :)

Oh, did I mention, it's FREE!!! It takes about 3 weeks or so, but you can even customize the map, and have it print out with your favorite locations, etc... It's something that you should do if you haven't done it yet!!

Well, I did decide to get online this evening. I got here at 12:30 today, and the campground is packed!!! I got one of the last few electric/water sites available. I can also tell the power is getting overwhelmed, cause every time the AC kicks on the lights dim for a second.

Anyone else having bad weather tonight? We have had every kind of warning you could have but a blizzard tonight. We have gotten 3 to 5 inches of rain already and they have said it could be 6 to 10 by the time it ends sometime during the night/morning. I am babysitting my nephews tonight and they are afraid of it all. They are showing another line approaching soon. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

We had 4 3/4" of rain last night by the time I went to bed. It took DS over a half hour to get home. Roads were closed everywhere and he kept getting detoured. He said they sold out of every shop vac, sump pump and hose they had at his Menards. Lots of flooded basements. We are expecting more today, possibly another 2 inches maybe more. We are lucky and live higher up than some of our neighbors. Our sump pump hasn't even gone on. I have to work today and I'm thinking the mall is not going to be very busy.

We've had thunderstorms/rain on and off for the last week. The sun comes out during the day and it's hot and humid...and then evening brings thunderstorms and rain. The forecast is the same for the next 5 days.

My DD(14) and I are leaving for D.C on her class trip in the morning and they are under a heat advisory !! :furious: Supposed to be in the upper 90's the whole time we are there :headache: I hate hot weather...especially in big cities with all that pavement and people. :(

It never gets that hot in Buffalo, though its' up to 90 with very high humidity! My ac is going constantly! I'm outside trying to catch a breeze -- just got back from a camping trip-- I ran out of beer!!!!!!!!! I only had a case and a half. My idiot son is getting into my beer again! He brings a 6-pack and then drinks all mine! One of the daughters is in Acadia biking with her husband -- she told me they had to wait to get on the island to buy beer and wine because otherwise they'd have to bike it over. I guess they found an excellent micro brewery so all is well with my family. The other daughter is 8 months pregnant so she's not drinking right now.

Wait Phyllis, until the grand-kids come. It's really interesting!

Just made reservations for the 4th weekend. Same place we were at this weekend. Not my favorite campground, but it does have a beach! It's certainly no FW, by a long shot!

Howdy Bud!!! Good to see ya make an appearance!!!! Youre right, the next Fort trips are never soon enough...unless your Stacktester, MrsGus. or des1954!!! We're thinking October 09 will probably be the soonest we can make it back without feeling like were hurting ourselves, of coarse fuel could be in the $10 range by then,....wow, I said that sarcasticly, but it could very well be more realistic than we think, huh!!!:scared:

Home from camping. Dang, it was HOT this weekend. Now comes the part I hate about camping. Doing the laundry and cleaning the camper, and I have to totally empty it to take it to the dealer tomorrow to get the hatch looked at again, and get a couple of other little things looked at before the warranty runs out in 2 weeks. I can't believe I've had my baby a year now. Time has flown!!!
