Hello!!
I have booked a hotel in Toronto through Hotwire for 2 people. It looks like a third might want to join us. I know that Hotwire doesn't allow changes, so what will happen if we "smuggle" in a third person??? I don't want to get in trouble!
Any advice? TIA! :goodvibes

Unless they follow the 3 of you up to your room...I wouldn't worry about it:goodvibes
Another reason why I dislike the Canadian hotel industry (they book per person as opposed to per room). Its almost as if they assume you are bringing a party load of people to each room.
Just check the details of the room and make sure your 3rd party member has a place to sleep.

I may be wrong, but I think that at the time of check in, or maybe call ahead and request a room that could accommodate the 3rd person. With priceline you are not able to book anything more that 2 people. Some rooms might have one bed instead of two. They will not guarantee anything more than one bed.
If it's not a busy time, you should be ok requesting the extra person at the time of check in. Otherwise, be prepared for someone to sleep on the floor!::yes::

If I can suggest that before mentioning the 3rd person to the hotel front desk, check their website and see what the policy is.

I think I'll tell her that if she wants to come, then she should be prepared for this option! (I did give her plenty of notice to book with us before!!)

Good idea... I don't think we will say anything. The two of us will want two beds anyway, so hopefully we'll get two queens!

I've done that a million times, I'm sure it's not a big deal. Just bring the other person in the room but if you want to honest just tell them at the front desk
