When we went in April, we had a Sky Cot for DS (4 months). There were four of us travelling and we were allocated two bulkhead seats, and two directly behind. The entertainment system comes out of your arm rest and I advise getting that out before lowering the table for the Sky Cot - I didn't on the way over and so was stuck watching DH's screen, and listening through my own earphones - this would have been OK if we had the same taste in films!

Virgin generally allocate two bulkhead seats per infant - how many infants in your party? Have you requested a Sky Cot, it's not done automatically, and if I were you I would ring again about a week before travel to confirm it. Any other questions feel free to ask - we found the Sky Cot v. useful, although the person not in the aisle seat is kind of trapped once the table is down. I had to stand on my seat and climb across to get out during the flight.

We had Row 29 or 30 on the way out and 52 or 54 (sorry - bad memory) on the way back and they were much the same. I preferrred the row 29 coz I like to be as far forward in the plane as possible. We were not given any choice in selecting our seats, they had already been allocated by Virgin. You are unable to do online check in with an infant, so we did Twilight check in from Gatwick and Downtown Disney check in from Orlando, to ensure we had bulkheads.

For more information on Skycots have a look at this information from Virgins website. (http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/passengerinformation/travellingwithchildren/index.jsp)

I haven't used a skycot but you would not want a baby to be that big as they are actually quite small from what I have seen. How old will the baby be when you travel?

Also remember just because you have a skycot you still have to have baby on your lap if the seatbelt sign is on (ie take off, landing and turbulance). I had looked into this as we are having our first baby in the next couple of weeks and I was looking into taking on its first trip to WDW.

Only 2 of you will be able to sit in the bulkhead seats but you ill prob find the rest of yur part across the aisle. We have had problems with the sky cots. On our first flight even though we requested one they are not always available. The one we had was broken so was out of use on the way out. On the way back we couldnt get one. They are only suitable up to 12 months, however depends on the size of your baby! The following flight we booked our little one a seat, and he used that to sleep in instead. At least then when seat belt signs came on we didnt have to wake him up!
