Normally I have gone to Walt Disney World in August, but due to work issues I think I may have to settle with October this year.

Can you tell me what the weather is like, and also what the crowds are like.

I have gone in October, and the weather was absolutely perfect for me - high 70- low 80 - if it is later in October, you miss the tail end of hurricane season, which can cause a little rain. The crowds were very light, however if you go over Halloween, it's busier. I still think it's one of the best times to go - oh, I almost forgot, a lot of kids get a 4 day fall break, so that weekend tends to be busy - it's usually around Columbus day I believe.

We went during the last week in Oct in 1997 and the weather was crummy most of the time. We had a lot of rain and it was cooler than usual. I am hoping it was not the norm. However, we are planning our next trip in Sept. We love the hot weather.

We've gone 4 times in Oct. and are going again this year. We've had beautiful weather each trip...warm days but not hot and low humidity. We've not had a bad experience with rain, either. It does get busier over Columbus day weekend but not bad at all.

I have been twice in October, great weather both times.
We went over Columbus Day and Saturday was busy at MK, but the rest of the week was pretty empty.

To me this isn't even a question. The lower temperatures make life so much better. Unfortunately, I have the opposite of your problem . . . sister's wedding is in Oct., so we must go in Aug. this year. When we honeymooned during 3rd week in Oct. of 2000 there was only one day with rain. Crowds were not a big deal except on Sat. at MK . . . madhouse, never again, even for Spectro.
