We should be dropping hints on a regular basis for what we want for dad's day. What would you really like for Fathers day?

I will start....

I would like a new digital camera. But since my DW doesn't ever read this, I may as well wish for a million dollars. :sad2:

Ok now its your turn....

I dont really want any physical gifts...but I WOULD like to get the ROYAL treatment, ya know ...no sly insults from the kids, a whole day where they actually act like Im interesting and not such a PITA to have around.... maybe hear one of them pretend to laugh if I attempt to crack a joke.....oh, and a couple of dozen pounds of crawfish would be nice too!!!

Just wake up in the morning and enjoy that first cup of "Joe". We quit doing the cards/presents about 5 years ago and just plan on going out for a meal or whatever to celebrate.

I hear ya, Larry. DH & I quit the "gift giving" for any occasion 6-7 years ago. We consider our WDW AP's the "gifts that keep on giving". We found AP's to be more enjoyable than the Jelly of the Month Club!!!:rotfl:

We arrive at the Fort on Fathers Day. All I would like is an uneventful trip down and back. Not sure if it's possible with 2 five year olds and a 7 year old but I can wish. That and a great vacation with no long wait times at the parks, yea right.

Time to relax! Been so crazy that this is my first chance to sit, read and post in a while!

On a more serious note, glad to have three healthy :thumbsup2 and loving kids, wife who still manages to smile after 19 years of putting up with me, a place to live and plans to bring our camper to the Fort in August. What more could I hope for?

Oh yeah, seriously considering putting on a flannel shirt with the sleevs cut off short, torn/stained cut-off jeans and go wander around the VWL pool for a while to scare the folks on the other side of the tracks.:cool1:

HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL YOU DADS!

DH has been in the basement since 6am hauling garbage out and cleaning it up. We just kind of tossed things around with the water earlier this week. We need to get it cleaned up in case we need the room next weekend for DS's graduation party. He is such a trooper. He keeps saying this is my day, I shouldn't be doing this. I guess I will have to reward him later and take him out to eat. I would grill out steak, but we are again supposed to get rain and storms, however, they say this SHOULD be the last day for a while, lets hope.

Sort of funny. We have a lot of trees that need major trimming and some time ago I invested in an electric pole saw to get at some of the limbs with my 8' step ladder. This A.M. while it was cool I was out in the back yard doing some major trimming and I heard a "hey" and our next door neighbor that we really don't know that well since we have back yards that abut each other, but we live on pipestems on different cul-d-sacs so the only way to talk is over the 6' fence between our properties was poking his head over the fence at me with that glen in his eye that only a male can appreciate. :rotfl2: So I went over and he asked what I was using and I told him and he said "Cool" that would make a great Father's Day gift since he also needs to do some tree trimming. :rotfl:

Give a Vacuum, or appliance to a DW on an occasion for her and you're "DEAD MEAT" and this is what us males lust for. :rotfl2:

There really is a difference between the male and female genders. :lmao:

Lets see, I got left alone for the most part, which is a most excellent gift at my house. I got to grill steaks for my father's day dinner, which was good. I got a couple of cards. My son is at ROTC advanced camp at Ft Lewis and I think he tried to call but the connection was goofy. My daughter had attitude tonight. I love my life.

OT sorry: I have to share a stitches in the head story with y'all. The kids first trip to WDW was when my DD was 4 and the quads 2. We left PA at 9pm Fri and arrived in my best friends driveway by 6:30 pm Sat. We let the kids run around outback and splashed them from the spa and pool. It was like 100 degrees. Well we were checked into the ER by 7:30 that evening for 8 stitches dead center to 2 y/o DD:cutie: forehead. Fast forward 2 years, first night in WDW and going to MNSSHP with dinner at Chef Mickey's first. After we eat, start heading back to van to get the stroller and we are all excited and kinda rushing. Same DD:cutie: , now 4, splats on the side walk outside the Contemporary. Rush inside looking for ice/help. Declined the offer for 911. The tickets are only good for that night. Oh what to do... Track over to MK to see the medic. If she needs to go , I'll leave from there and take her. Skin intact but bulging past her poor little nose. Ice packs:sick: and Motrin for the night and NO MORE WALKING allowed for her! Needless to say we were very very apprehensive in December watching her every move. She still falls but we escaped unharmed this last trip.

Cool mirror BDR!!

My DH got a night away in WV to do a Ghost Tour with my BIL. And tomorrow we are getting our new digital camera. So nothing actually today.

My poor daddy, got to spend Father's day with his bride of 46 years at the Doc in a Box :-(

They are on a 3-week camping trip in the Virginia area, and were packing up the 5th wheel to move from Fredericksburg to Williamsburg, and mom fell in the tub.

So they spent the day in the doc in a box. Mom is fine, has some pain killers and muscle relaxers, and they are staying in Fredericksburg for a few more days and will skip Williamsburg. Then they are off to North Carolina to see my nephew in a regional soccer tournament.

He did say all three of us remembered to call him, so all in all it was a good day :-)

I was brave enough to let them take the stitches out. There's no way i would have let him touch the cysts. One of them was embeded in my skull it was enough for the Dr. to take it out. I feel great! Thanks for asking. No pain at all. It went well.
