Whispering Canyon Sat 5/24/08 7pm

This was the first restaurant of our trip both this year & last year. Always seems to be a little bit of a wait here, even with ADRs. We had great service and a quiet table this year (both different from last year). This time it was just my husband & I, last year we were with another family with children, and we had our Anniversary celebration pins on so maybe they seated us in a more romantic spot because of that.

Our server was great, she even brought out samples of the smoothies when I couldn't make up my mind. The strawberry-orange one was great (mostly just tasted like a strawberry smoothie, not really much orange in it).

We both ordered the skillet. We liked the salad, chicken, pork, beans, and warm cornbread. I ordered the banana tortilla dessert, served with ice cream & caramel (very tasty)!

My husband loves the all-you-can-drink shakes here! This is his favorite restaurant and we will always be returning here when we visit WDW.

I just booked WCC yesterday for our upcoming trip. We are on the DP and I was wondering if we are able to share the skillet when on the DP?? It sounds delicious.

Looking forward to the shakes as well!

Since the skillet is an all you can eat, you won't be able to share a skillet. You'd have to use 2 Ts credits, not 1. Think of it like sharing at a buffet, sharing isn't allowed. Each person has to pay for their meal.

I am sorry I think I asked my question wrong but I think you answered my question anyway. Can I still get the skillet if we are on the dining plan and just use the 1TS for each person ordering it. For some reason I thought 2 people had to order the skillet for the $22.49 each person but I am looking at the meu again and I don't see were I read that.

Yes, 2 people can order the skillet and be charged accordingly.

Love, love, love Whispering Canyon Cafe. We ate there on our last night of our trip and were 100% pleased. We had reservations, but still had to wait about 10 minutes, which is fine because you can walk around the hotel or relax in a big leather chair while you wait. The atmosphere was great, service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I ordered the skillet, which was terrific. You get more food than you can even imagine and it is all good. The waiters/waitresses are also alot of fun. My father-in-law kept getting refills, so finally the waitress brought out this gallon sized mason jar full of coke and an extra long straw! The kids got a kick out of that! Overall, WCC is a wonderful experience that I would definitely reccommend.
