Regional exchange is now a-go for sure. We have 4 people....but could use more ::yes::

I have quite a few exchanges coming....and I always buy ahead, so I wanted to check and see if there will be enough interest for them, or if I should plan on just skipping them.

Anyone interested in the beach towel?
Anything Mickey?
July Christmas ornament?
Novelty socks?
lime green?

I love doing exchanges, but my bottom line just can't take it anymore. I don't drive so I don't have gas prices to concern me, but the price of food is getting nuts, my train fare went up again, postal rates went up. I just have less extra to spend on fun stuff. But I will do the Mickey Mouse exchange, he's my favorite!

People just have to pick those that most interest them. That just goes with the increase in prices....and I guess that means some people won't be doing any :(
Sad, but true.

the regional one is going to go on even if I only have 2 people :)
Hope to see more join in though ::yes::

I'm interested in the novelty sock exchange, as for the beach towel, it might be awkward, and heavy to mail...I'm going to wait to see what exchanges are coming up to see if I'm interested in them. But you can count me in the novelty sock exchange!:woohoo:

It has always been for any ornaments. That is around the time Hallmark starts their new ones for the season.
You can always list what you want and hopefully that is what you get.

As for the beach towels being heavy....true. I just always use a flat rate box, that is always the least expensive for me on almost everything (except pins) anyway.

I will post the exchanges and see how it goes (when their dates roll around), if I only have 3, I will go ahead and run them anyway. It will still be fun.
I am still trying to clear out my exchange closet before we move and I do need some things to keep me busy while I wait for the house to sell (hard keeping it "show clean" ).

Keep the input coming in ::yes::

Lately I've been picking the exchanges I'm very much interested in due to the cost increase of everything. I do plan on doing the Mickey only, the disney pin and the ornament exchange, I'm still thinking about the beach towel exchange. We have a in-ground pool and can always use new beach towels. I do have several weeks of vacation planned this summer so I might not be doing many exchanges over the summer due to traveling.

Completely understandabe.
So far, no one is interested in the beach towel. I think because of the bulkiness and weight. I have mine already, but can use it for the new house. We are having a pool put in :hyper:

Sounds like a fun summer.
One of our ports was Aruba. Very pretty place.

Aruba is wonderful, we were there about 3 years ago and my middle son wanted to return the year he graduates HS which is this year. We also own Marriott and exchanges into the Marriott on Aruba, this is going to be a relaxing, sitting by the pool/beach type of vacation. Can't wait.

We went on a tour that drove around quite a bit. It was interesting to see the houses and such. I like getting away from the tourist places, at least for a look.
Such bright colorful homes.

I'd love to do the beach towel exchange as I already have the perfect one in mind! (Doesn't have to be Disney does it?) I'll say no more but I do hope htis one goes ahead! :goodvibes

I'd also be keen to do the novelty socks and/or anything lime green, maybe even the mickey one lol! I have to mail my June birthday one soon and a personal package to a friend which will be pricey but it's looking good for after that! :thumbsup2

but, of course, more is always better.

I have been watching the exchanges that come up lately, but I am picking and choosing a lot more carefully these days. As I've said before I am trying to accumulate less stuff for when we have to move around b/c it'll make packing so much easier. I don't like to have stuff just laying around. Most of the stuff has a purpose or I find a home for it, but then to pack it all. I'm sure you know what I mean. Your fixing to move. ::yes:: Right now I am debating the anything mickey and ornament. But you know I will for sure do the pin exchange.

Well...I have a tiny book of them, then I have almost a whole cork board filled and df just bought me my second medium disney book to hold more b/c my first little and big book both filled and the board is almost filled as well. I'm not even the one that keeps looking...its all him. Lol. I love when he surprises me with them though! :thumbsup2 I am not looking forward to hauling two books plus a cork board around lol. The little book I don't care about b/c its so tiny, but the other two books take up some room and we all know that cork board will as well. Lol. I'd say we have around 200 or more. Haven't counted in quite some time.

Anyone interested in the beach towel?
I won't be around for that one. We're going on our summer vacation soon.

Anything Mickey?
I am for sure in for this one!! :cool1:

July Christmas ornament?
Ummm, maybe. It sounds fun, but we'll have to see.

Novelty socks?
I don't think so. I did the first one and it was fun, but with summer here and it being so hot, I won't be wearing any socks for awhile. :rotfl:

lime green?
I'll pass on this one. Lime green just isn't my favorite color. :duck:

I've also got the flip flop part 2 exchange planned for this month, the 16th I believe. Anyone still interested in that?? :confused3

Meriweather
06-04-2008, 09:16 AM
Beth, you were the one that requested the sock one to be done again...I think you said your daughter wanted to do it?? :p
That's fine. This is just when I could fit it.....it may not happen now, maybe next winter instead.

Beach towel exchange is canceled due to lack of interest.

Socks is probably going to be postponed to a later date unless I read of more interest. So far only 1 person. Anyone else?

Anything Mickey is going to happed :yay:

pins is going to happen :yay:

July ornament is going to happen :yay:

lime green.....need to hear of more interest in that one too. I have only had 2 people interested in it so far.

What would a scrap book exchange entail? Would we make scrap books to send, or send scrap book making materials?

Yes. I broke it Feb. 22 had surgery March 7 so I haven't been able to move it in 3 months. Had a full leg brace on. I am going through therapy now so I can bend it again but it hurts so much. I finally went back to work this week. 3 months sitting home not doing anything drove me insane.
