anyone ever been upgraded?

I was wondering has anyone ever been upgraded by disney cruise? December will make our third cruise with them (first was april 2001 (land/sea 7 nights), second december 2001(eastern caribbean) and dec. 2002 will be 7 nights western. We have gone cat. five and six respectively and were wondering if we have any chance of ever being upgraded by disney for a four or three? This ever happen to anyone?

We went from a 4 to a 3 but paid a discounted rate (at check in). There are several stories on these boards of people getting upgraded for free. Just look around! We'll be there in October. Hope I can be one to tell a free upgrade story!

We've been on four cruises and been upgraded from 10 to 9 and from 11 to 9 on two of them.

Both times, we booked very late and had a GTY.

My girlfriend was upgraded from a stateroom w/veranda to a one bedroom suite. They have 5 in their family and booked through a travel agent (no special discounts). They were called about the upgrade one day prior to leaving. I've always wondered if the upgrade was due to # of people in her family or because she paid dearly for the cruise.

Our first cruise ever, we booked a Cat. 8 (port hole room) at a guarantee and did not pick a room #. We were upgraded to a Cat. 6 (verandah room) and loved every minute of it. 2nd cruise, had to have the verandah, but then there was a Spring time Magic discount, it paid for the difference from cat. 8 to cat.6, so we didn't feel so bad. 3rd cruise coming up and booked a verandah again, can't live without one now. Just listening to those waves hitting the ship all night long was the best!!!
