I have seen that guy do that presentation and a few others. in some ways you can untrain your brain from being stuck in the loop of one task buy always assuming the correct answer will be obvious if you take a global view of the situation... it has to do with the "blink" reflex. Read Blink by Malcolm Gladwell I think it is. great read, fun stuff.
