I had thought I would go, then I subscribed to the magazine and I hate it. Are these events better than the magazine? If I do go, it will probably only be for Saturday as I have to be around here for the kiddos.

I don't get the magazine but I loved CKC Fort Laiderdale and am going again- I like taking the technique classes and learning new things to use in my scrapbooks and swaps.

The classes are taught by a lot of different scrap companies. I love the classes, most get 2 to 4 layouts per class.
I'm not crazy about the crop, the tables are usually narrow, but I think it depends on the convention center.
And the shopping is amazing!

I'm not sure if I'll be able to go for the weekend. My 2 best girlfriends and I are planning a joint 30th birthday celebration weekend and that's one of the possible weekends. Hopefully we'll decide for sure this month.
But I am on vacation that week (because I'm having a really hard time with 30 and feel the need to savor every minute of that last week of my 20s as much as possible!) so if there's any kind of get-together on Friday I'd definitely be up for driving down for that.

I'm thinking about shopping ... maybe a class, but a few people have "scared" me away from their crops ... I would also be up for a get-together on Friday. I think I might even take the day off :-)

Calanniebu, as a person who holds crops once a month, your comment of a few people scaring you away from their crops makes me curious. Do you mind sharing with me what happened. Wouldn't want something similiar to happen at my crops.

I've just heard that there isn't a lot of space per person and that you are often crammed around round banquet tables on uncomfy chairs. As someone who is spoiled by the crop space at her LSS - I don't think I could "handle" not having enough room - not to mention the cutting mat, light, and super comfy chair!
BernardandMissBianca
06-03-2008, 11:28 AM
Lisa, they put the tables in rows and typically they are only about 12 to 18 inches deep so there is not a ton of space. Now I did go to the convention center for a CM crop once and they had huge round tables and those were nice. But I don't know if that space will be for the crop or for the vendor faire. I would assume the vendor faire will be in the big space and the crop will be in the smaller ballroom upstairs.

The CKC crop in Manchester a few weeks ago used huge round tables (none of the crops I went to were "full" so people spread out all over this huge room with only two or three to a table. It wasn't lack of table space or overcrowding of table sthat bothered me, it was the absolute lack of any "tools" to use while cropping. I was spoiled by ones at my LSS or SDV where there are huge stations of tools to use. They gave out lots of door prizes at the CKC crops but be sure to bring along your own stuff if you go.

Round tables are good! That's what Lisa has at her crop. But no tools??? Wow! Did anyone bring their Cricuts?
SDV's tool section is awesome! I've never used it but they had tons of stuff.
I haven't decided if I'm staying over. If I do, I will do the crop.

Still trying to decide if I'll sign up for any classes - want to look at the choices before I make a final decision. Hartford is so close to me.
Ok, many of you have said how much fun Lisa's crop are, so, living so close to the CT border - I was thinking, maybe I could get to one of them. Lisa - could you please send along some info, and are your crops limited to a certain grp or open for many? Thanks.

Awww:hug: Thanks, guys. My biggest fear is people not being happy at my crops. That would crush me. People having enough space is first and foremost when I am planning, the eggplant pizza is second. These ladies almost lynch me if I plan something else for lunch! Well, it is good.

I booked a room at the Marriot - costs a bit more but appears to be closer to the convention center. I'd love to do the Album class on Thursday but not sure I could get there by 9 am - and sure don't want another hotel night.
How many classes do you usually take at one of these things? Or is the primary motivation cropping with friends?
lovingthemouse
06-05-2008, 09:56 PM
Lisa- I sure will try to get there- the day before, the 13th, I am running a field trip for 43 7th graders to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island. We don't get back til 9:30 pm. Since each of them will be receiving a camera- they don't know that yet, I will be at Costco getting them developed on Saturday - unless the energy level is high enough to sustain a Sat morning field trip to Lisa'a crop!!! Let's see if my DH can get me to rise and shine early?
You bet it is close enough - I can get there with little or no problem - you heard me say that, right?
If I don;t make it to this one, please pm me and let me know the date of the next one. Thanks. Hoping to meet you all, and yes, my friend and I will be in Hartford!!!!!

Interesting, the Marriott is way closer, actually in the same parking lot. I wonder if Creating Keepsakes has a contract with Crown Plaza.
But if I stay over night I will be staying in the Marriott.
I usually take 4-5 classes a day, depending on what peeks my interest. I've never done a crop but will probably do one here if I stay onsite. I only live 45 minutes away so technically I could drive in. I'm not fond of driving into Hartford though.

Is Crown Plaza a Gaylord hotel? I know they've had conventions at those hotels often enough to make me think they have a contract.
Parking in Hartford also costs quite a bit - even if you're in the hotel.

Not sure who owns the Crown plaza. I'll have to ask DH when he gets home.
I'll probably have DH drive me in so he can have the car for the day, wether I stay over or not.I don't want to leave him stranded. He can't get all the kids in his car.

Hi guys! I'll be there. My BFF and my goddaughter (DN) will be joining me. DN is in Berlin schools and has the Friday off so I will take her on Friday. We'll wee if she is up to going to a crop that night. I'll probably take her to the CT Ren Faire on Saturday (it doesn't complare to PA or MD, but it is convenient when I am in CT).
As for Crown Plaza, I believe that is the overflow hotel for Valley Forge, so maybe they got a deal with them.
Is the Connecticut Conv Center the Hartford Convention Center or is it a completely new building. I haven't been to ANY convention center in CT since 1995 when I was going to college fairs.

Oooh - on just a quick glance they have some different classes than Manchester did. I might have to go down for at least one day.
Do you know what the situation is with hotels? Manchester's host hotel always fills up well before registration even opens. Hartford's 2 hours away - I wouldn't mind having the option to stay over.

Thursday
7:30 - 8:30 Vacation Memories (I'll just drive in for this one)
Friday
9:50 - 10:50 Latest and Greatest
11:10 - 12:10 Fun and Fast Journalling
lunch
3:10 - 4:10 All My Children
6-7 Family Memories
7-11:30 crop or dinner with the girls or both??
Saturday
11:10 - 12:10 All over the map
12:30 - 1:30 Absolute Organization
1:50 - 2:50 Disney through the Years
I am there for dinner on Friday!!
There is a Sheraton across the river in East Hartford. You could easily walk across the walkway and get to the convention center. There would be no parking costs at the Sheraton.

Just making sure you know this - Vacation Memories and Family Memories are basically the same thing, just with different colors/embellishments. I did Family Memories and I totally loved it, but I can also recreate it on my own now after doing it once.
I perused the class list more fully today and I starred a whole bunch of them. I have to go back and weed down. I really feel like the selection is better than Manchester was. A whole bunch excite me. And since I already know what the shopping is going to be like (and I don't believe there's anything left that I didn't buy in NH!) I'd rather spend my money on the classes.
I'm really leaning toward staying over Friday night. If you're up for sharing, Buffy - I am definitely interested.

I'm game for a roomie or 2. I sent DH an email but haven't heard back. I will call him tonight.
Okay, after reading Rebecca's recommendations, I went thru the classes again and have my eye on:
Thurs:
Vacation Memories 7:30 - 8:30 (Buffy, let's plan on carpooling on this one. We can meet at the Commuter Lot on Route 6, I'll drive from there.)
Friday:
Scheming Around - Available at 9:50-10:50 am, 11:10 - 12:10 pm, and 3:10 pm and 4:10 pm. Can do any one of the times if someone wishes to do it too but needs a specific time.
Saturday: (Buffy, again we can car pool if you decide not to stay overnight)

Disney thru the Years 1:50 pm - 2:50 pm

I may have half a room available too, not sure if my friends are coming or not - always a question of money.
Right now my plan is
Thursday - Album in a day (I'll have to leave home by 6 am for this one, is it worth it?)
Friday
11:10 Fun & Fast Journaling (tentative)
12:30-1:30 Disney Board book
3:10-4:10 Scheming around
Dinner - Y'all know each other - can a stranger come too?
6:00-7:30 Vellum 911 (tentative)
Friday night crop - is anybody going? or will I be dead by then?
Saturday
9:50 - 10:50 6 pages in 60 minutes
12:30 - 1:30 Absolute Organiation
Then, I could either go home and save a night's hotel or stay for the Saturday night crop - is anybody else attending?
Question for you experts (previous attendees) - am I overloading myself?

Hi Linda - as to your quesion for the experts - I am no help there, as i have never been to a CKC show before.
No, I have never met any of these ladies before but have found, over the past yr, that they seem to be wonderful, supportive and really nice people (many with a great sense of humor).
I look forward to meeting some of them there as we have chatted through this discussion forum. I am always up for meeting new people and sharing new experiences. Hope to see you too.
I am sorry the Disney Traditions class was cancelled, as I am a Disney fanatic - it looked interesting. Hope they make no more changes!:worried: Caroline

Linda you are more than welcome to join us. I only know Lisa, logan&tylersmama, and New England Eeyore in person. Everyone else I know from here. I went all the way to Valley Forge to meet up with a bunch of girls from the DIS that I have never met. I figure dinner would be for all of us together. We had so much fun at Valley Forge, we shut the place down!
I think I am going to rework my classes. I'm so mad that the disney class was canceled.

hey you guys, when we finish sign ups either post here or PM me and I'll make a master list of the classes so we know who will be where.
Then we can decide on dinner and a time and all.
Thursday
7:30 - 8:30 Vacation Memories (I'll just drive in for this one)
Friday
9:50 - 10:50 Latest and Greatest
11:10 - 12:10 Fun and Fast Journalling
lunch
3:10 - 4:10 Scheming Around
7-11:30 crop or dinner with the girls or both??

I don't think you are. I have been to 3 CKCs and I love the classes. You seem to have a good number spread out over the 2 days, with a good number of breaks in between.
I was planning to take the Thursday album class last CKC but it didn't work out for me schedule-wise. But I heard good things about it. Never been to the crops, so I can't help you there. I do know that people have said the Saturday night ones are much less crowded - many people have gone home by that point.
I too had circled that Disney class that has disappeared. I'll have to go check and see if any of my others have gone AWOL.
New England Eeyore
06-23-2008, 09:42 PM
Argh!! I have a love hate relationship with CK. I like the conventions, but they are so disorganized! I printed out the full 42 pages of class descriptions the other night. Just 2 days later there are already a lot of changes from that original list - both dropped classes and changes of time. If they are going to wait until practically the last minute to post the classes, why don't they wait until they have the schedule completely finalized?!?:headache:
lovingthemouse
06-23-2008, 10:40 PM
For those of you staying over, which hotel would you recommend? Lisa gave me some sound advice on one place, so I am looking closer to the convention center itself. The Crowne Plaza appears to offer a special to scrappers - is it worth it? Thanks.:confused3
LindaBabe
06-24-2008, 01:16 AM
The Marriott is closer to the convention center, and my room was like $20 more a night than the convention rate at the Crown Plaza which is several blocks away. Parking costs either way, and I have some mobility issues, so I wanted to be closer.
They changed the schedule?:faint: Drats, and it took me some time to weed out what I wanted to take. Back to looking at the offerings again.
Lovingthemouse, between the two hotels you are looking at, I would recommend going with the Marriott, again the walking factor at night to another hotel away from the convention center. Downtown Hartford is a ghost town on the weekends and after 6:00 pm.
BernardandMissBianca
06-24-2008, 01:56 AM
I would go with the Marriott too.
lovingthemouse
06-24-2008, 02:47 PM
Thanks for the Marriott recommendation - and now back to the ever changing schedule (how maddening is that?). Do you ladies know what time dinner might be, so that i don't schedule any classes too close to the time?
I am considering taking the Mosiac Moments class from 6-7:30 but dinner is more important so that I get to meet some of you!:thumbsup2 Has anyone tried this technique?
Lisa, are we still taking the 3:10 class Scheming Around?. I just noticed they are now offering it on Sat also. Need to make some definite decisions, and I might as well get them done sooner than later.
BernardandMissBianca
06-24-2008, 05:35 PM
Agh, off to go check the schedule again.
I'm not sure about dinner. I skipped the 6pm class incase we wanted to eat early, I usually eat around 8. But I'm flexible.
I bought a Mosaic it once, I wasn't fond of it, but my mom liked it. I know not much help huh?

I don't think I will sign up for too many classes. It is me and my goddaughter and my BFF. I'm paying for my goddaughter so it will be double for everything we do. Her #1 choice was Live Laugh Love at 8:30 AM on Friday. We're probably going to the Berlin Fair or the Ren Faire on Saturday so Friday classes are it. yay! commuting from Berlin on a Friday morning!
I'll probably sign us up for a second class after I confer with BFF, we'll see how that turns out tonight.
Lisa, are we still taking the 3:10 class Scheming Around?. I just noticed they are now offering it on Sat also. Need to make some definite decisions, and I might as well get them done sooner than later.

I have to leave the house by 1:10 tomorrow, so if I have any trouble registering, it'll have to wait. Therefore, I'm not getting my hopes up for any specific classes - I've been shut out before if I couldn't register immediately.
These are the ones I am thinking about:
Rusty Pickle Memories Accordian Album on Friday
10 Holiday cards in one hour - Saturday
Absolute Organization - either day
Vellum 911 - either day.
There are several classes that interest me on Friday at 6, but I don't want to miss dinner and there's nothing I have my heart set on. I also don't have a problem eating later if there are many who do want to take evening classes.

Seems that each time I go back and look at the classes- there are either changes, or something else catches my eye. Let me ask - after reading their directions too- if I sign up for a class (es) now, is there any problem if I sign up for another one at a later time? At that later time would I be eligible for the free Fri and Sat vendor passes? Thanks.

Yes, you can add classes later as long as there is still room available. I'm not sure about the free vendor passes. You would of course be eligible if you had 3, but CK's website is so screwy that I wouldn't count on it actually working and they are notorious for not returning emails. If there is one you're not sure of, I'd actually recommend signing up for it now, and then cancelling it later if you change your mind against. There is no penalty for cancelling up to August 31.

ohoh. AFter reading all the posts on here and on the creating keepsakes message board about CKC Valley Forge, I totally revamped my class schedule today - it took hours. Reminded me of trying to schedule college classes - and I didn't get everything I wanted, but . . .
Unfortunately, I dropped the one I had with some of you on Friday - it just didn't get that great reviews.
Thursday - Album in a Day class
Friday -
Shop
11:10 Latest & Greatest basic grey
12:30 Disney Board Book - that thing is SO CUTE!
3:10 The Ultimate Teacher gift - I make a lot of gifts need new ideas
6:00 Vellum 911 - I tried to figure out a different time to take this and couldn't- but i'll get to where ever y'all are dining, never fear!
Saturday
8:30 Musings Clear Album -
11:10 All over the map
1:50 Lifetime Moments
Anyone going to the Saturday night crop? I get a free ticket from the all day class . . .

You did great to get it updated so fast! I might change the times of a couple of mine to get in the same ones as you are - vacation memories (even though I'll probably be totally dead by then!) and latest and greatest (I'll probably have had enough shopping by then. OK, Did that.

I just changed my Friday class like we talked about yesterday. I found some great reviews of the Keep It Simple, Make It Quick, Get It Done with Grafton class, so I switched to that one.

BTW- anyone doing the Friday night crop?
BernardandMissBianca
09-05-2008, 10:09 PM
I might have to either drop one class or have someone pick the kit up for me for Scheming Around. DH has a Dr appt on Friday right at pick up time for school so I will have to be home for that. So much for having DH drive me or riding with Lisa. I will have to drive back home again.
Lisa I guess if you take the day off I can drive us in, do my AM classes, come home and then head back for dinner. Man I hate driving into Hartford!
Caroline, I hadn't planned on doing the crop because I wasn't sure what we were doing for dinner. I guess we need to decide on a place to eat and start calling to make ADR's (lol)
BAMB, Okay, I'll work a half a day then go into the big city. I'll still drive us in Thursday night though. Driving into Hartford Friday evening won't be a problem for you, all the traffic will be heading out. Do you want me to see if I can get you a sitter for the kids? That way you can go to the dr. with DH. Let me know.
LovingtheMouse, I won't be going to the Friday crop because of doing dinner with the group.:woohoo: Is it only four weeks. WOW, can't wait to see you all! :grouphug:
BernardandMissBianca
09-06-2008, 07:57 AM
I'll hold off on the sitter for now, if we can get into see another DR we will cancel this appt. so we are in a holding pattern at this point.
I e-mailed CKC to see if you can pick up my kit for me but I haven't heard back from them yet.
If I hang around til after DH's appt and you drive in after work I could ride home with you. Dh could just drop me off at the hotel. I'd hate to have 2 cars there for just the 2 of us, ya know.
And I will check into the hotel after my 11 am class so you can have a room key before I head back out here.

restaurant choices at Marriott:
Crush
Since opening two years ago, Crush has been thrust to the forefront of the city’s nightlife. With plush white couches, leather-wrapped columns, and dramatic vaulted ceilings, Crush offers a vibrant, chic ambiance unlike other locations in Hartford. Come early to enjoy a relaxing round of drinks with friends, or come late and dance the night away as Crush’s live DJs spin a throbbing mix of beats every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Not to be missed are Crush’s special monthly events that draw the city’s hipsters and local glitterati.

Vivo
“Fresh ingredients, prepared simply” best describes VIVO’s inspired selection of dishes infused with simple, contemporary Mediterranean flavors and presented with a refreshingly creative Napa Valley style. This Zagat-rated bistro has earned Hartford Magazine's "Best Hotel Dining" two years in a row, Connecticut Magazine's
"Best Hotel Dining" for Hartford County 2008 and
Wine Spectator's 2008 Award of Excellence.

None of these seem really thrilling to me, I looked at Crush's photos and it's very loungy, no real tables fit all of us so the other option is to drive somewhere.
I don't know much about that area. I do know that there are tons of chain restaurants in Farmington, but it's about 25 minutes away.
Buckland Hills Mall is about 15 minutes away down Rt 84,
Lisa, how far is the Pizza place from the hotel? Could we grab some menus from them and maybe order in, we could go pick it up.

As for dinner, anything not spicy works for me - since you know that area far better than I, I feel very comfortable letting you all decide.
I will be staying at the Marriott on Fri also - so no need to drive home only to return the next morning.
Raining cats and dogs here- thanks Tropical Storm Hanna - and we discovered a leak in the family room ceiling where the room joins the main part of the house. How lucky can we get?????

I'm surprised the Marriott doesn't have a restaurant - or does it? Don't care what I eat - we can picnic in the room for all I care, it's the company that's the thing. The only thing the old lady requires is a chair she can get up off of, and the plush white couches don't quite sound like It. lol

I've never been to a scrapbook convention before and I have a couple of questions that maybe someone else knows the answers to.
I've gotten an email about registering to receive a free gift, isn't that what I did when I signed up for classes and paid? Is this just an add since now they have my email?
I've signed up for scheming around and I see I need 2 1/2 in photos, anyone know if I can get photos printed that size somewhere or do I just crop them to size?
I'll be driving up and back on Fri., is there a parking garage nearby?
I've never met anyone from the Dis before, how will we meet up for dinner? Just a place and time?
TIA

Driving around Hartford, East Hartford, Glastonbury doesn't bother me, I do it all the time too. We have a good pizza place in Glastonbury I could go to or how about I pick up a big several foot grinder (whatever size to accomodate the group) with an assortment of luncheon meats at Highland market, along with chips and dip and soda, and have big fiesta in our room, um er, BAMBs room?;) LOL

I have gotten that email too. I don't think we need to do anything, we are already registered. We would get a little gift at the door when we check in. That is how most conventions are handled.
There is a garage right next to the convention center where we can park. Not sure of the cost. Yes, you can just crop your pictures down to that size. Honestly I was thinking of just cutting white paper to be my "pictures".
I believe I have your phone number so I can call you and give you my cell phone. Actually you can get my cell phone off of my web site. Give me a call when you get to the convention center Friday. I have a 3:00 pm class, we'll track you down. :)

It's under my "real" name but with DH's rewards I may end up in concierge. But I don't care if it's on another floor. DH said I can't call the rewards line, we would need to talk to the hotel itself. I generally take a lot of classes at the CKCs, so I bring my over-the-shoulder Crop in Style Bag, so I have a place to put the projects with enough room that they don't get crushed. It is a bit big, but there is always a "bag check" area outside the vendor fair for something like $3 or $5 for the 2-days (I don't remember exactly but I really don't think it was more than that) where I like to stash my bag before shopping (you can add things to the bag whenever you want.) I agree with BAMB, that the one *must* bring is a storage envelope of some kind for 12x12 paper so it won't get crushed. Or, you can just buy so much of it that it creates it's own stack and avoids being crushed that way. :rolleyes1
I definitely can't commit to what I'm going to be wearing 3 weeks from now, but when it gets closer, I'll figure something out!

I know I have several cell numbers of those attending. If anyone wants mine and doesn't have it, pm me and we can exchange numbers. I know one day I will be wearing my SDV t shirt. It's my fave, and most likely another Disney type shirt.
We could always do the lime green ribbon trick too to identify each other. Lovingthemouse and LindaBabe, what time do you folks think you will be getting there Friday? Ryan and NEE, how about you? Jennifer, we can exchange numbers tomorrow. Did I forget anyone? Hope not.
I be attending also! I'll pm you my cell number.

when are you coming in?
My first class isn't till 11:10 but I'll head up after the kids get on the bus. So I should arrive about 9am, so I can check out the vendors before hand. I see it opens at 10am but I figured I don't know where I'm going exactly, need to park, sign in. Do you think that planning to arrive at 9am is too early?

Yes, LindaBabe - if you have a cofirmation number you want to PM me, I'm going to call again sometime this weekend. I'll let you know what they say.
My first class isn't until the afternoon on Friday - so probably getting in shortly before then. I did enough damage in Manchester that I'm not leaving myself too much time for the vendor faire. And I've already been warned that I'm not allowed to shop with Ryan. Apparently I'm an enabler. :rolleyes1
Sorry - we're still on the road returning from Florida - I'll pm when I get back if you can wait a few more days. I still need to talk to the hotel about getting two doubles instead of a king so I can have a roomie. Although the king would have more floor space and I could bring a folding table . . .
Actually arriving Wednesday evening, because the Thrusday class starts early.

Safe travels home, Linda! Let me know whenever you do get home.

No! It always takes longer than you think to park, get oriented, etc. And there will be a line to get in a mile long already at 9 am! "Early entry" people can get in then too.

My friend Laurie decided to join me yesterday. She registered for her classes -and will join us for dinner on Friday night too. Bamb - can you please add her to our list too?
Now to try and get a room close to you. What procedure are you using to locate close rooms? I am really looking forward to seeing you all.

Basically,LTM, if you book on line and note in the comments section that you would like to be close to {person's name} or after you get your ressie, pm the number and your real name to NEE, and she'll request the link.

I called this morning and asked them to link all 4 of our rooms, and requested mine and Buffy's be connecting. She put everything into the system for us all on the same floor and marked it "Do not move" but she said she couldn't guarantee it because it is too far in advance. I will try to call the week of CKC to make sure the notation is still there.

Thank you for doing that, NEE!
Since I'm the first in, on Wednesday, I will also check to make sure the links are still in place.

Terrific!!! we are having a paaaaartaaaaaay!:cool1: :cool1: I'm thinking I should bring the blender and the makings for Castaway Cay Konk Koolers!!!! We can do adult style or kiddee for those like me who love the drink but don't "drink".
I was asked via a pm what a Konk Koller was. This is a frozen drink that is served on Castaway Cay. Even though I rarely drink, I've been known to be at the first tiki bar I can find on the island when we land to order one. It is soooo yummy. Whenever anyone goes to Castaway Cay, I ask them to have one for me. Right, Linda Babe? :)
Ingredients:
1/2 ounce dark rum
3/4 ounce light rum
1 ounce passion fruit juice
1 ounce pina colada mix
1 ounce orange juice
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
Serve in a tall glass filled with crushed ice.
I generally throw everything into the blender with a handful of ice cubes and blend. Hmmm, think my boss will mind if I make up a batch this morning to have today?;) :lol

Did you all get the room change notice for some of the classes? I was not even aware that rooms numbers had been given out, never mind the changes. It says our tickets would reflect the new room numbers. This makes it seem even closer now. :cool1:

I got one, but I didn't know what the original room numbers were, so it didn't mean much. They must have had to kick them up to bigger rooms because the classes were so popular. The disney board book class was one of them.
PS. We may have nice cropping tables in the hotel rooms - The photo on the website looks like they have the two layer desks - the bottom layer is a table that rolls out from underneath the desk - big enough for two to crop or 4 or more to eat.

sending it along Buffy - might be that yu are not taking one of the classes whose room was changed.
Here is what they said:
Hi Students!
Thank you so much for choosing to spend your weekend with us at CKC-Hartford!
We had some room changes in our class schedule, and we wanted to make you aware of it. Your tickets will be printed with the correct room number, but it is always nice to receive notice of such changes in advance. Please note the following changes as you are scheduled for one of more classes listed below:
“Christmas Acrylic Album” on Friday @ 1:50 PM is now in room 17.
“Holidays with Scenic Route” on Saturday @ 12:30 PM is now in room 12.
“Lickety Split 8x8 Disney Board Book” on Friday @ 12:30 PM is now in room 17.
“Who Says Easy Needs to Look Easy” on Friday @ 12:30 PM is now in room 16.
“Who Says Easy Needs to Look Easy” on Saturday @ 12:30 PM is now in room 14.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and please let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
Again, thank you for participation at CKC, and I hope you have a wonderful time in Phoenix!
Brittany
Note the closing- hope you have a great time in Phoenix!!! Didn't know

are we going to have a mini crop or no?
Are you guys going to bring any albums to look at?
I wonder if we can get a break out room at the convention center to sit and eat at or if we need to hang in the rooms. I'm game for either.
Lisa do you think we should bring in a folding table to put between the beds to eat on? I can bring some camping chairs back Friday night if the rooms are big. I hope to check them out before I have to head home for the afternoon.

I can bring my 6' folding table if you want, I also have a bridge table. I think in our rooms would be better. We'll have our stuff there, and the privacy to act silly. Who really wants to schlep everything to our room, then schlep it to another room? :sad2: Not me.

Ok, we should probably bring the bridge table, that's the one you bring to the crop right?
LindaBabe

I have a 6 foot table too, that I'll toss in the van, just in case. In the connecting rooms if they do, indeed, have the two layer desks, there will be two of the rolling tables. I wonder if they'll roll through the door?
Who's bringing what for our "picnic"? I know someone volunteered to pick up the grinder fixings. Since I'm arriving so early, my assignment had better be something non-perishable, like chips, nuts, canned sodas or paper goods.

Okay I'm getting really excited now!
You can assign calanniebu and I to bring whatever as far as food goes - we'll be driving down Friday and can stop along the way to get anything. Connecticut is chock full of Stop and Shops.
Since Linda is getting there a day early, maybe she could call one of us (or will you have internet access?) after she sees the room and let us know what would be easy/helpful to bring for extra chairs/tables, etc. I have a few little TV tray type tables if needed.
I would love to look at other people's albums! That would definitely be a fun thing.
