Elsewhere I found "the new Kidani Village will bring an interactive water play area and feature pool".
Can someone tell me more about that? What does "interactive" mean? Will it have a slide?

From the DVC website- I happened to be on there right now....
"Scheduled to open early 2009 at Kidani Village:
Samawati Springs Pool
Cool off in this zero-entry pool that features a 128-ft. long water slide. Take relaxation to a whole new level in one of the two whirlpool spas near the main pool, or refresh at Maji Pool Bar.
Uwanja Camp
Climb elevated-rope bridges, dash through geyser jets, or relax in the waterfall lagoon or beneath the shade of the camp cabanas in this village playground themed as an animal observation site known as Uwanja Camp — uwanja means "play area." Explore three distinct zones in this children's interactive water-play area — the base camp, the departure zone and the observation station; each area has its own character and activities for age-specific groups. "
So, both a pool and an interactive water play area.
Does anyone have pics of the drawings of this? I know I've seen some somewhere....

It sounds great, we really enjoyed the main pool at AKL already, so the new one sounds better. I wonder if they are going to make it for DVC only?

I've see a drawing in the DVC sales book (which is on loan to a relative at the moment), but it's not very clear and I'm not sure if the pool pictured there is still in a "proposed construction" section (not even started yet?) or if it's part of the new Kidani village.

From the drawing, it looks a lot like the indoor waterpark at Great Wolf Lodge, only outdoors.

Perhaps scaled-down. :)
Those Great Wolf Lodge pool complexes are about 50,000 sq ft. The play area at Kidani is about 4000 sq ft. I also don't think the Kidani play area has any vertical construction to it--it's all at ground level with nothing to really climb on.
The artwork I have seen suggests it's similar to the kiddie area at Typhoon Lagoon. There will be a lot of different contraptions to dump water on the kids, or that they can use to spray water on each other.

Not the best scan, but hope it helps.
