We try to go back to the room mid-day, mainly because we have a toddler. We try to rest and freshen up before dinner reservations. September usually isn't bad for wait times, so it doesn't really make much difference if you leave and go back to the parks. You get more attractions done in less time, so I never feel like I'm loosing too much time back at the hotel...JMO...
