We are going for my DS's birthday in December - he will be turning 9. Can anyone suggest the best restaurant for this age and/or the best place to get the cake? So much stuff seems to be more girl focused, I am having a hard time finding something special for him.

Chef Mickey's is the perfect place to celebrate. Let everyone know where ever you eat that it is his birthday and he'll often get a special dessert. At chef mickeys my daughter got a birthday placemat signed by all the characters and a special cupcake. Other restaraunts do special things, too. Make sure to get him a birthday pin to wear at guest services at any park.

My nephew had his 9th birthday at 'Ohana. He got a decorated cupcake. Everyone had a good time and the birthday boy and his siblings liked the food.

I´d say Chef Mickey´s or Crystal Palace for a boy his age. We´ll be celebrating DD´s birthday (12) at Crystal Palace but DS´s (14) at Coral Reef (hoping to get the diver). I think your DS might be a bit too young to enjoy the food offerings at Coral Reef though.

We're taking our DS on his 4th bday to CHEF MICKEYS September 5th! I've eaten there on my honeymoon in 2001-I loved it, so i know my DS will absolutely love it! :cool1:

Our son is nine and loves the coral reef at the living seas. If you let them know in advance you might be able to get the diver to hold up a Happy Birthday sign.

My DS turns 12 at Disney on July 23rd, we are doing Coral Reef. Diver was already booked for the day, but can still do personalized menu and cake.
