Hi....before I work on trying to transfer my res from RS to FQ..does anyone know if FQ is 'totally open'?
I mean, I dont want to go there if the pool will be closed
OR if they are doing work.
Thanks

When I called to change my ressie from Movies to French Quarter, she told me the resort would be completely opened.

Oh, that is terrible. I guess the reason they didn't tell us earlier is because they didn't know earlier! Last I had heard it wasn't supposed to open until the end of Sept! It is good it is opening sooner, though!!! Things must be picking up!

I guess :(
But I always go to FQ
We were so sad when it closed. Maybe I can find a way to get FQ :)

Call them back. After all they are the same resort, arent they? I was able to transfer my discounted ressie from rs to fq without a problem. I am so happy. I love fq and was not thrilled with the thought of staying at rs.

Isnt that amazing?? No matter how many people on here talk about getting different results just by calling a different CRO, it never ceases to amaze me how one person will help you when the person you just talked to flat out said they cant do anything for you. Im glad you got what you wanted. Its getting to the point that you cant believe anything a CRO says anymore. You almost have to wonder if they are just being lazy or not.

Hi Hardcoregamer, do you think I could get lucky doing that. I currently am staying at the CSR with the CIF discount applied and I have been told twice now that I couldn't switch. Should I try again?

Thanks HardCoreGamer for posting your success!
I called again tonight after I read your post and the CM switched my ressie! It took awhile - she had to ask someone, and I got a new ressie number and she said the deposit had to be switched but it is done and I have the discount still!!!:D
jewelray - I had called twice also before this and was told no, I would try again if I were you;)

weluvpluto! ALRIGHT!!
We were on the phone for a half hour before the ressies were transfered.
We just said how much we love FQ..we have been there 5 times. We went last year..we were sooo sad when it was closed.
And we got to talk to a higher up, and he transfered us!
IM SO HAPPY!
jewelray: I'm not sure....is it the same price as FQ? Because RS and FQ were the same price, so all they did was transfer. Im not sure though,,but i tell you this! TRY!
Tell them how upset you were when you heard it was closed. And so on. Don't give up! :D

On the first day that the re-open was announced, I was able to change my discounted reservation from PO-Riverside to PO-French Quarter. I have a DisneyClub card, so I have a toll free number when I tried to switch the ressie. However, the Cast Member I talked with had to ask her supervisor if she could switch the ressie with the discount. She said she would have to call me back. I told my wife that we should not expect a call back and we would keep our ressies at PO-Riverside (which we love equally). However, after about 10 minutes, Disney CALLED ME BACK!!!! This is a first. The Cast Member had checked with her supervisor and she had OK'ed the reservation. I saw this post the other night and did not want to gloat, but I had to share the experience and Disney Magic of this wonderful, unnamed Cast Member.:bounce: :bounce: :pinkbounc :bounce: :pinkbounc :jester:

Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the responses. I actually did try back and was able to make the switch but now family is unsure of whether or not they want to switch, so I have to wait. We are currently booked for CSR. Any comments on that hotel would be appreciated. It does look beautiful and now I have to make yet another decision!!!

We personally like the PO resorts better. They are not as spread out, and have more of a Disney feel to them. Also, you can't beat the Riverboat to DTD!!!!
