Nana, Bop, and the three girls
I’m a Disney addict and am fast infecting my grandchildren with the same disease ( I love it ). We’ve done Disneyworld several times throughout our 33 years of marriage, with our two daughters, their friends, and twice with the oldest granddaughter, and once with the youngest two. The girls’ mom and dad are leaving on a cruise for their 10 year anniversary and Nana and Bop (us) are taking the kids to Disney. Enough about that, here’s how the cast shapes up:
Nana (that’s me) – Disney addict and think Pocahontas is the coolest Princess. I love planning this trip almost as much as taking it.
Bop (DH) Bop is our granddaughters affectionate term for granddad. He always has fun once we arrive but doesn’t get into the trip until then. He’d be happier to see the house that Norm built (from This Old House and the New Yankee Workshop) than Cinderella’s castle. But the girls can turn him around
Kelsi (DGD1) and celebrating her 9th birthday while we are in the World. Tinkerbell and Ariel are her fave princesses
Lauryn (DGD2) 6 yrs and Miss Fashion Queen, she’ll keep us all outfitted in style throughout the week. Like Jasmine, but is dressing up as Tinkerbell for our CRT lunch because she doesn’t like the way the puffy pants from Jasmine’s costume look on her: She’s all about the fashion.
Kayna (DGD3) 4 yrs and loves Cinderella. She has been once before but doesn’t remember anything since she was only 8 months old. She’s so excited and can’t wait to ride her first rollercoaster.
The dates: Friday, June 06 – June 08 : Visiting relatives in Orlando
June 09 – 13, 2008 : Dolphin Resort
I finally found the last item on my coveted “things to buy” list, the O2 misting fans from Wal-mart. Bought 3 of them and came home and finished packing today. I have to work the rest of this week and work on my dissertation, so I did the fun stuff (packing) first. Oh, and went by Home Depot and picked up 5Dis Mickey tags.
Dining Reservations are all made - here’s a quick summary:
Monday – Lunch: Pinnochio Haus, Dinner: Liberty Tavern Character Dinner
Tuesday - Lunch: Cinderella Castle (CRT) Dinner: Left open for now, something back at the Swan or Dolphin while we swim.
Wednesday – Lunch: Sci Fi Diner Dinner: Surprise for Kelsi’s birthday, I can’t post it yet because she’s very computer savvy and might read this stuff :goodvibes
Thursday – Lunch: Sunshine Seasons Dinner: Teppan Edo – Japan Pavilion
Friday – SeaWorld Day
Well, that’s it for the Pre-trip. I promised myself I would get caught up on my homework so I don’t have to spend many nights after the parks hugging my laptop. 6 days to go!!
