I booked my flight with Virgin Atlantic and then booked my hotel direct with Disney rather than through Virgin Holidays.
Am I allowed to book the V Room and use DTD check in?
cant use v room unless you have booked through v holidays (package deal), not sure about DTD v checkin, they may charge.

Dunno about V Room (just make the most of the main airport lounge. it costs less anyways)
But I do know that you can use the DTD check in if you go via atlantic. Though I think there might be a small charge you have to pay. But other than that you can use it the same way the other virgin lot can

Thanks for the replies.
$10 each is worth it for the convenience. Do you need to prebook or just turn up and pay when you check in?

Just turn up at DTD and they will charge you when checking you in.

Pretty sure you turn up and pay there. Virgin have a Kiosk there for paying and all. Just turn up on your last day and make sure you get there a little before 8am the day you leave. Theres gonna be lots of other people wanting to check in too and the sooner you get there the quicker it will be to get it over and done with so you can enjoy your last day fully
Oh and BTW; Virgins Clubhouses are available to Atlantic flyers too. But it costs £32 per person at Gatwick and £60 per person at Heathrow. Personally I'ld say just use the main airport lounge. It is a little noisy but theres normally always a slightly secluded area and you can feed yourself in there for much cheaper than the cost of the clubroom. Though thats just my two cents

We normally use the Clubhouse Lounge, but it was fully booked for our date in November. We were offered the V-Room, even though we've booked flights only with VA. We're Silver Flying Club members (VA's loyalty programme) and Frequent Virgins (VH's loyalty programme). We called the Frequent Virgins' number, so maybe that's how we were able to get it even though we haven't booked a VH package. :confused3
The V-Room doesn't offer free alcohol, but from what I can gather there will be a cash bar and at £15, it's less than half the price of the Clubhouse (currently £35 for Gatwick and £65 for Heathrow).
We've used the DTD check-in on several occasions and, as other have already mentioned, there's a charge of $10 for VA customers, unless you're flying UC, payable at check-in. There's priority check-in for UC and PE passengers. Whenever we've used the DTD facility, there's never been more than a handful of people waiting (and we certainly don't arrive at 8am), but we must have just been lucky because I know plenty of people report horrendous lines. These days we check-in online and rarely bother with DTD, although there's nothing to stop you doing both - that way you get your seats assigned as soon as possible.

When we used DTD check in last year we couldn't find our voucher and I thought we would have to pay but a member of staff went round the queue giving them to out to people who didn't have them including I think VA passengers.

Thanks everyone.
We've used DTD check in twice in 2000 and 2005 but both times went with VH. In 2005 we had to wait about half an hour to check in but it wasn't early, about 10 am I think.
I hadn't thought about on-line check in on the way back, we could do this because my daughter will be taking her laptop. The only down side is keeping hold of the luggage but that's no big deal.
