AAA Change Room only to package???

I'm sure this has been answered some where but I can't find it.

If I book a room only with the AAA discount can I later have my AAA agent take that room only reservation over and turn it into a AAA package?

Right now my agent can Not get a discount on a package at POFQ in early December for me. I was thinking I may be able to call and book POFQ with my room only AAA discount and have AAA take it over and turn it ino a package while keeping the room discount? Can it be done?

They may be able to do it - but it would involve canceling your room only reservation and booking a whole new package, requiring a new $200 deposit. Judging by the fact that they can find the room only with a AAA discount, but not a package, I have a feeling they have an inventory of AAA discounted room only, and a separate inventory of AAA discounted packages. Meaning booking the room only wouldn't guarantee the availability of the discounted package,

It can be done, and I did it even though all the AAA room discounts were already gone.

I was already holding a room only reservation with the AAA discount and decided to change to a AAA package (I had a certificate I wanted to use).

The AAA agent called and was first told they couldn't do it, and I had her keep calling until she could find someone who could.

After all, I was trying to give Disney more money, not less.

I think she had to get a supervisor to do it. Tell her not to give up and to keep trying.

It can be done if there is availability for what you want.
As mentioned, there is no guarantee.

Actually, there was no availability for when I wanted to do it. My AAA agent was told more than once, as did Disney.

She pressed, at my urging, and magically, my disney-booked AAA discount room only AAA reservation, turned into a AAA owned MYW package with dining.

It can be done.
