We just sold our pop up ast night, they come get it on Sunday. We should be picking up our hybrid Wed. or Thurs. We got a 2003 Kodiak 215. It doesn't look like it was ever even used. I can't wait to get it home and start loading it up. Now the bad news is we have reservations at the fort the week after Thanksgiving but it is a pop up/tent site. They do not have a full hook up available. Has anyone ever put a hybrid on one of these sites and just not hooked up the sewer? They say we are ok with length but just wondered if it could be done.

You may be more comfortable on a full hook up, call and check on-line every chance you get between now and then. If you can't get one you always have your back up site.
omg, we just did the same as you, we got a TT wednesday and today I sold my pop up..Also I have ressie at the Fort for Labor Day, Thanksgiving and New Year on a partial site..will they let us park a TT on those sites my trailer is 25 feet..

Congrats on the new campers. You should call, with them closing loops to refurb and people canceling cause of fuel prices. I bet they are making scheduling changes and new loop assignments often.

i would keep trying every time you can to see if there was a cancellation so you can upgrade, but if you don't have sewer, you should be used to the comfort stations...they are way better than most bathrooms in people's homes, much less campgrounds!

Enoy the new camper. We have a 30' Kodiak TT and love it. We're bringing it to the Fort in 2 weeks, arrive on Fathers Day.

We have had our hybrid for 2years now and love it. THe only thing about not having sewer hookups is you have to be careful about your grey water tank not filling up, if you will be washing dishes and just using water in general it can fill up in a few days. You will have to take your beds down and go to a dump station somewhere. The black water tank doesn't fill up as quickly as the grey because that is your waste from the commode.
This past weekend we had to dump our gray water tank twice and then when we left, there were 3 showers involved and washing dishes, brushing teeth and general use.
Have fun and enjoy your new camper.

I have a portable grey water tank that I just carry over to the comfort station and dump it down the toilet when I stay in partial.

we just bought one of these http://www.thetford.com/HOME/PRODUCTS/SmartTotePortableTanks/tabid/225/Default.aspx
we figure we will stay in the Gov't run C/G's instead of private ones to make up for fuel $ so we will need this.

We have one of those big green gray water tanks from camping world and have used it alot. It's great, and it really does connect to the ball hitch to tow it instead of having to pull it by hand to the dump station. You wouldn't want to use it for showers, but it's great for grey water from the kitchen sink. We can go for days without having to dump it, and you don't have to pack up the trailer to do it.
Congrats on your new hybrid! :thumbsup2 (Color me green with envy!!!)

I would keep trying for an upgrade we have tried all the way up to the day we were leaveingat least once a week we have usually gotten the upgrade i'm sure it also depends on time of year but as said before with gas prices i'm sure people will be cancelling so keep checking

We did the same thing last September. Moved up to a 08 hybrid from a coleman westlake. Have trips planned this year and next to include one week at the fort in early january. We had fun there with the popup and can't wait for the upcoming trip with the hybrid.

ps... get the full hookup if possible, that sewer connection is nice.
