I will do my best to make sure you each only receive your own photos.

yes I am still interested......now the only thing that we may have to watch out for is if they use UPS to ship the disc to you.

I got the photo book last year and disney delivered it by ups. They charged a brokerage fee of an extra $40 for getting it across the boarder. Was not happy for the xtra expense. So as long as people understand that there might be a little extra cost associated with the shipping.

But I am definately in for this.

The main thing to remember is when you get home with your Photopass Card do not go online and enter your number on the back, until I have sent you the account name and password.

If you go online to see your pictures without using the password and account name I give you in a PM then you can not be in the photopass share as you will have your own account.

People get excited about seeing the photos they forget they all have to be in the same account.

Last fall my future sister in law did a photopass share on this board and from what I know it worked out really well so I will make sure to go over the rules with her:)

I was part of one last Xmas and they turned out amazing. There are photographer's that can add character's in the pic's. We have my wife holding baby simba, my dd fighting captain hook, my dd holding tinkbell in her hand, and stitch is sitting beside my dd eating ice cream. There is also one near the haunt mansion but we never got that one.

If this is your first experience you will be amazing at the quality. I remember my wife and I would say to the photographer's "snap away, we are on photopass CD". They would try so hard to get great photo's I think at one character greeting they took 20 + photo's.


I think the most important point is to make sure you don't create your own Photopass account. If you enter your card numbers onto your own account, you won't be able to use them in our swap I will give out our swap account name and password in September. Everyone has 30 days to claim their photos and then another 30 days once the card #s are entered into the account. At least this is how I understand the system to work. Let me know if you have any questions.

1) Get a photopass card from a photopass photographer when they take your pictures in the parks. Have fun and have lots of photopass photographers take your picture. Each photographer will scan your photopass card to add photos to your photopass card id number.

2) When you get home, rather than create your own Photopass account on the Disney Photopass website, you will use a photopass account that is already created by the group of people that you have prearranged to share with.

3) All the people in this group add their photopass card IDs to this same account on the Disney Photopass website. The leader will assign you a specific date that you are required to upload you photos. This will keep all the photo in order of family. You can edit your photos there (add borders, crop, etc) within the 30 days from the first upload. Once everyone in the group has added their photos and edited their pictures. The leader will order the CD

4) Everyone's pictures will be on this CD. The person who ordered it will make copies for all other people in the group and mail them their copies. You can then take this CD to any photo place and get your photos developed as you wish because Disney sends a copyright release with the CD.

5) There is no limit to how many pictures you can take. If a group has enough pictures to fill more than one CD, Disney will send as many additional CD's as it takes at no extra charge.

If I pre-order the cost is $100. The shipping looks like $17 to Canada.

With 7 people sharing it is $16.70 each
With 8 people sharing it is $14.60 each

I have no idea how much it would cost to send each of you a copy.

Still it's cheaper than the DL photopass share I did last year.

I think you send me the money when I order it and then as soon as I get the photopass CD, I make you a copy with your photos and send them to you.

There are a lot of people going in Sept. This is at least the 3rd group just on the Canadian Trip Planning Board. Check on the Budget Board they have some also.

I think this Photopass share is a fantastic idea. I'm usually taking photographs of everybody else and consequently, there are very few photos of me in WDW unless I beg somebody to take it. This will even it out.

Wow, sounds interesting. And to think I told my TA to cancel Coral Reef and try to get me in to see Winnipe The Pooh, inspite of doing other character meals. How do you go about this? Do you have to request it? Lucky you to be gone for such a long time. And good luck on the pictures... why not throw a Canada Day Party and get the kids pics like that?

I was in a photopass group in May. It worked out great, for $22.00 each we got all of our Photopass pictures.
My son and I will be going down Sept 20 - 27 and I would like join your group if you have room for one more. We only had around 25 pictures last time, not worth the over $100.00 price tag to get the disc for just us, but a great deal as a part of a group. You can PM me if you have room for one more.

You get them from Home Depot. Peel the alien green mickey head off the backing and then laminate to another one and then you have a tag to hang from your backpack, stroller, etc. Then everyone on the Dis can recognize you.

I just returned from Walmart with a little water bottle/mister that's mentioned in another thread. I have to replace my Spacesaver bags...one of them seems to have sprung a leak!! grrrr.

And I called today to get a dinner seating at Biergarten for the day we arrive. It'll be perfect... 7:30 pm seating so we should finish just in time for Illuminations. <sigh>

I have to keep reminding myself that there's still Labour Day to get past and then...then I can start my usual nuttiness when it comes to WDW.

Decided that we should do MNSSHP and was able to change dinner that day to an earlier time.

Had a little trouble with ordering the stroller, but it seems to be fixed. Looks like it is on route to WDW!

Working on Tye Dye Mickey Head T-shirts tomorrow night. I think my mom said she would make me a gate check bag for the stroller!

Just doing last minutes things around the house. We are driving out tomorrow morning to Grove city PA. Staying 2 nights then driving down to Pittsburgh Airport to catch the flight to Florida... I hope the weather agrees with us.:worship: .. I have been watching National Hurrican centre website a couple times a day. Boy! do they change course alot:confused3 . Last week they had the storm coming straight up north which would have made for a wet drive down... Now it is moving west....

Whatever happens we will make it a great trip!!!

Mini Trip Report

Hello photopass group!!

Well I am back to the real world once again… I see that you are all counting down the days till your trips start. Here is a quick recap of our trip…

Weather: Hot…. very hot and humid!! It rained only on the last day of our trip. I can only hope that you all have as good weather.

I will review the dining as to the reason why we went down at this time of the year.
Day 1: Arrived late afternoon. Crystal Place dinner… Felt rush, very busy it was a good intro for my DS1 to meet the characters. Food was OK.

Day 2: Chef Mickey’s: Breakfast … Be prepared for a lot of noise. They are building a bigger Chef Mickey’s and all we heard was construction. Food was good, characters were great!
Day 3: Sci – fi: Lunch … from the reviews on the boards I was a bit nervous but this was the best meal we had. The burgers were great, the service and atmosphere A#1.
Day 4: Le Cellier: Lunch... All I can say is got my steak. I would have been disappointed if I had to pay the $30.00 for it… I would not go back.
Day 5: Crystal Place: breakfast … Food good… what can I say, my son loves Winnie the Pooh so I can not complain.
Day 6: 1900 Park fare Dinner: My DD5 was at BBB in the morning and wore her dress to the dinner that night. The characters really interacted with her as she was dressed like a princess. Food was nothing to right home about! My son slept through the whole dinner.
Day 7: Hollywood Vine: Lunch. If you are going to this, be prepared for a lot of noise. Food was not very good. We honestly got the signatures and got out ASAP.

Overall experience with the dining plan was ok. We would not do it again as we found it was way too much food we ended up not using 4 counter services and 6 snacks. This was between 3 people as my son is only 1 ½ years old. We rarely eat desert and felt we were forcing ourselves to eat. You need a lot of control or you will gain a lot of weight.

We have been to a few deluxe hotels (boardwalk, wilderness lodge, and Coronado springs). We can say we loved POP Century. The pools were amazing. The place is really geared for the children. Transportation was overall good. We did notice that the All Stars Resorts had very long line ups at the end of the day at the parks. We would stay at POP again.

Some things have come up and when I get back from my trip I will probably have my nieces full time. I will not have much if any time to be online to make sure everyone is getting on and uploading their photos. So I will need everyones co-operation in making sure that each member contacts the nexts and gives them the password and account name.

I am going to give the information to our first member Disneydaddycanada before I leave. I will do my photos at the end after everyone else has finished so just skip my spot and continue. I will try to get online, but so much is up in the air right now as to what will be happening with the girls.

I'm back!! It was hot, humid and I was eaten alive my mosquitos which I've been told are the state birds of Florida. BUT it was very fun and I can't wait to go back ... at a more dry and cooler time of the year. LOL

Welcome back! Hope you had lots of fun.

Just to let you know and others, DisneyCanadaDaddy and I are finished our part of the Photopass and I've just sent My 2 princesses the information so she can do her photos.

I'm quite pleased with most of the photographs except the one at Epcot who took our Goofy photos. Most of them were out of focus...and it looks like camera shake which should be almost impossible if you're using a flash. <sigh> Oh well.

I usually take the photos when I go so I never have the opportunity to be in photos myself.....and usually that's a good thing. But...when it comes to Disney, the ham in me acts up and I like to get into the act so this photopass was the best thing for us. Thank you Virginia for organizing it!!!!

Yeah, I got kicked off once while working on it and had to relog in....and then it takes forever to load back up. As the number of photos increase, I think the loading will take even longer.

Pigletto, having 5 cards should be no problem at all. You can just add them onto the account. It might take a while to load all the photos on it though so don't think it's not working when it says it's still loading. It took a while for my one card to load.

I think they only need your photopass #. And besides...they can't prove we're one family, eh? and there's nothing in the rules that say you can't do what we're doing.

Did anyone have signatures that they could add to the photo? Last year at DL when you had a photo taken with a character their signature would pop up and you could add it to the photo.

Yeah, I used some of those signatures. They're in there....I know they are.

Yup, they are there. They should come up automatically. But those are for the photopass pics only, not for the ones we uploaded from our cameras.

"The preferred method to contact Disney's PhotoPass is via the Contact Us link found at the bottom of the disneyphotopass.com site and should yield you a response within a couple of days (which shouldn't be a concern even if the issue is time sensitive). If you feel you are not getting an appropriate response, you can try emailing them directly at wdw.photo.imaging@disneyworld.com or leave a voice mail at 407-560-6068. "

I'll have to go back and take a look at the Stich photo again. I'm sure I already looked but I couldn't find one for him.

I haven't made it to any of the other characters yet. We didn't do many characters with photopass-we did lots of character meals.

P.S. he's the character one, not the one they add to the photo!

It was shipped and delivered in two days.

I'm just glad UPS came in the afternoon while I was home. I received an e-mail saying it would arrive on Friday. I go out in the morning with the daycare kids for at least 1 1/2 hours each morning.

Making copies on my friend's laptop as my computer is full and I can't seem to clear it up without deleting all the WDW photos and video clips I took.


I'm finished! I will try and send them tomorrow, if all the children are picked up before the post office closes.

I just got back from the Post Office, I forgot to go earlier! I phoned while the kids were sleeping and they are open late.

My friend said not to bother with the bubble wrap. So if anyone has any problems with the CD let me know. Also let me know that it works-I did check them on the laptop, but just incase it doesn't work on your computer. Then I will erase them from the laptop when I have your ok.

The bad news is I took my CD into Superstore and had some prints made of the photopass photos, and the ones with the four park boarder got cut off. I posted on the Theme Park board and there is a way to fix it using the computer. But I wanted you all to know before you spend money on printing pictures with that boarder.


PS I sent Disneydaddycanada a PM asking about the postal code for their house as I was having trouble making out one of the letters. So your CD has not been sent yet.

One of the members has received the CD and was wondering why their uploaded photos from their camera were not on the CD. Disney doesn't include our own uploaded photos on the Photopass CD.

LOL, well, I didn't get a PIN either and on second glance, most of my Photopass photos are out of focus or blurry. :rotfl: I guess we just gotta laugh about it, eh?
