late check out ?

I did a search and nothing showed up. I can't remember. During a DVC stay, can we request a late check out (1 pm) ?

You can request it but they won't grant it...lol No late checkouts for DVC resorts!

Nope. Not going to happen, and if you just self extend, you could end up getting charged the rack rate for the room for a night.

Thanks....that's what I couldn't remember (if DVC reservations offered the late checkout). We were really just needing a later checkout because we're waiting for other family members to meet up with us. I'm sure we can find some place at AKV to hang out until they get there. They're expected around noon. Thanks again all !

You can always ask the front desk to hold your luggage for you until you're ready to leave. That way you're not encumbered. I've done this successfully on times I've had to check out earlier than I've been ready to leave. :earsboy:

When we rent a car, we just load it up. If you're flying out same day, consider Resort Airline Check-In to lighten up your load. Depends on your airline, destination and what resort you're at. Keep your meds, swimwear, personal belongings, valuables, etc. with you.

I do appreciate the suggestions DisneyVillian and macosx. We will have a rental car and we are not flying home upon checkout at AKV. We're actually driving down for a stay at Disney's VB resort. But thanks very much. We'll probably just load up the car and hang by the pool---weather permitting. :thumbsup2
