Hi everyone, I'm still here & beginning to function better. I went back to work May 12th after our daughter, Erin, returned home to NJ to her work & family. It was a great comfort to have her here.
I want all of you to know that the day Bob passed away, I made one phone call to our friends, Ann & Majk (mike)- made because they live 100 yards away. Within 1 hour, I had 11 people here to support me: Kevin & John, Pete & Walter, Corey & Julie, Will who brought Brian, Ann & Majk, Marianna, & my cousin Larry. Other friends, Russ & Kathy, took the 2 dogs as they were freaked out by all the EMTs & Deputy Sheriffs here. I am very blessed to have such wonderful friends!!!!
I just received an amazing letter from Hospice of the Comforter (just so you all know, I am an admission nurse for this special organization). This letter informed me of 18 more donations to Hospice in Bob's name. These were all made by Dis Pod Casters. None of whom I have met.
Thank you so much:
Michelle Klein Dawn Ramirez Lois & Greg Syrek
Coleen Lombardi Tonya Sayers Melinda Weymouth
Carol Gangnath Elisabeth O'Brien Tammy Bahmanzian
Robert Lee William Rubernstein Amy Leonard
Jennifer Myers Lisa Barnett Robert Phipps
Donna Beke Julie Rodger Christine Turk
Also, I received notice of donations to Give Kids the World from:
Madeline & kevin Werner Marilee Leach Michelle Wooden
David Parfitt Brandie Raleigh John Gutknecht
Heather Cumbie-Vivona Jamie Fox Don Puckett
Robert Murphy Stacy Mogle Joseph Timko
Simon & Susan Veness Robert Phipps Frank Chalulski
It has been so wonderful to know that Bob touched so many people. I know he he was wonderful, it's great to know that so many others figured it out too.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
Diana (Dian-er, Bawb's wife)

So glad to hear from you. Someone on the chat tonight was asking if anyone knew how you were doing.
There will not be a Podcast I listen to that I will not think fondly of Bawb and the joy he brought us.

Diana,
You're in my thoughts every time I drive out to Disney. I think, this must be the way Bob and Diana would go. You and I met in December as we walked out to our cars from the 1st podcast meet. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and check in with us.

Diana, I am glad to hear that you had so much wonderful support. True friends see us all through our most trying times and you are fortunate to have so many true friends.
Your Bawb was the same age my husband is (born same month and year) and he and I have had a wake-up call to take nothing for granted. You were married to a very unique and special person and I'm sure you miss him terribly. I hope you can take at least a little comfort in knowing that he touched many lives in a very positive way and because of that he will continue to live on through all the positive memories people have of him.
Thank you for letting us know how you are doing. I hope you will continue to be a part of these boards. I wish you well. Sharon

Bob touched us in a way I didn't know was possible for a man I never met. The podcast will continue to keep his memory alive and well. We love him to the moon and back.

Thank you for the update and may I also say thank you for the work that you do. My mother was very ill for a very long time and finally decided last March she was ready for hospice. The admin nurse took so much time to explain everything to us, sometimes multiple times and the whole group of people we worked with were great
We lost her last June and it was good knowing that the hospice team was there to help her through all that.
I'm glad you have so many friends and family to rely on and they will help you through this very difficult time.

Thanks so much for posting! I'm glad to hear you are receiving the support love you need during this difficult time. If you need anything at all, don't hesitate to ask us here... there are some truly amazing people who frequent the DIS Unplugged board, and I'm sure they would be willing to help in any way possible.
Thanks Again...

Thanks, it so good to hear your kind words of thanks. The small tokens many of us have made are nothing but shows of how much joy and kindness your husband brought to all of us. Our best wishes to you, live life and make Bob proud.

Hi Diane,
I am glad to hear from you. I know how long it takes to move on from a tradegy like this. The only comfort I can offer is that from knowing Bawb through his podcasts, he lived each day like his last. With that being said , my father did also. My dad passed very suddenly and unexpently like Bawb. He was 47. I take comfort in knowing that my dad went quickly and didn't suffer, he always joked about death and that was the way he would have wanted to go. Its always worse for the rest of us this way but a long illness is worse for the person.
Good luck to you and your family.
