So I'm helping my DH e-mail an attachment because he is almost computer illiterate and I find a pin code offer from 4/21 for 30% off rack rates sitting in his inbox. He had absolutley no idea that he had received the code or what it even meant  The e-mail doesn't mention an expiration date does anyone know how long the pin codes are valid for? We already booked free dining and I know someone had posted a spreadsheet with figures for % off vs. free dining awhile back but now I can't locate that sheet, does anyone have a link to it? Currently we are booked at CSR so I think that free dining is actually a greater savings unless we upgrade to a deluxe or DVC, does that sound correct?

I had a 40% off code, and free dining was the better deal for us (we are also booked at CSR).

Disney will not let you double book. Either it the FD or the discount. You will have decide which one works best for you. The 30% code works better at times with the deluxes & DVC. Sorry I don't have the spreadsheet. Good luck !:)

I remember that spreadsheet, but don't know where it is. But I do teach math. (Though right now I'm going on 5 hours of sleep and don't know where my calculator is, so check my numbers.)
CSR costs approximately $155 per night. (I averaged weekend and weekday prices.) Assuming you're staying 7 nights, that PIN code would save you $434 total.
The meal plan for 2 adults and a 6 year old costs $90 per day. For 7 nights, that's a savings of $630.
It's not even close. Keep the meal plan.

I did find that spreadsheet finally and it looks like free dining is the better discount if we stay at CSR; the link is below if anyone is interested. I wish I could talk my DH in to the Poly or Beach Club but I don't think that is in our budget for this year. Maybe we'll get lucky and get another PIN code next year that we can use to try a deluxe.
