I will be in the "World" November 29th to December 7th
Do I understand this correctly, you are flying from NZ?
If so, this will be a loooong flight for your family!!!
OT:
I flew to NZ Dec 29,2006 from Toronto - San Francisco - Auckland - Dunedin to join my cousin and family for New Years 2007 and loved the country :thumbsup2 It was beautiful.
It was just my daughter and I and we travelled from Dunedin to Te Anau, Milford Sound, Queenstown, Greymouth, Christchurch, Picton, Wellington, Rotarua and back up to Auckland, then flew to Fiji for a week before returning home via Los Angeles. What a trip :thumbsup2
Anyway, seems like there will be a few of us Dis'ers down in WDW in December, and I can't wait
Good luck with your planning :goodvibes

We will be there from the 3rd to the 12th, staying at a FW cabin. It's me, my son and his wife, and their three kids (my grandchildren). My daughter-in-law's sister and her family, who live in Trinidad, are meeting us there and will also be getting a cabin. They have two kids, so we'll have five adults and five kids. We're planning to do Hoop Dee Doo for the first time, and also the Grand Gathering Safari in AK.

Wow teresa it sounds like you are going to be in for alot of family fun!!!How neat to be able to go with a big group like that!

I think it will be a good-sized group - but when I celebrated my 50th birthday in WDW a couple of years ago, we had a group of 52!! Well, people came and went at different times, but we had 52 at my big birthday breakfast at Boma. That trip was SO much fun!
And I should also mention - I'm going to New Zealand at the end of September and early October. I'm speaking at a conference there, so I'm taking a little extra time so I can check out some of the countryside. Auckland, Rotorua, Coramundel (I think I spelled that wrong) and the Bay of Plenty is what we're planning. (My youngest son is coming with me.)

Oh teresa you are going to have so much fun!New zealand is a little version of Canada!I am so glad to see you are going to get to see some of my favourite places. Are you going to be driving yourselves or using a tour company?
Teresa Pitman
06-02-2008, 09:33 AM
Our plan is to rent a car and drive ourselves. I did see a website with a company that offered self-driving tours, so we might try that. I already have batches of brochures and info from various places.
I just wish it wasn't such a long flight! That's the part I'm not looking forward to.

We are going to WDW Dec. 4 - 14 and staying at Pop and CSR. And now that December's park hours have been posted, the planning can really get into high gear. We plan on going to MVMCP either the 9th or 11th.
We've had our flights and hotels booked since Feb. but the kids don't know anything about the trip yet. With only 6 months to go before we leave, it is getting harder to keep the secret. I think we'll tell them pretty soon - maybe even this week. I can start making our ADR's this Saturday so I want some input from them as to where they'd like to eat.
