I know there is a thread listing what everyone is waitlisted for. But I was just thinking how many of us have a ressie booked and are just waiting for a different room type or resort to come up. I thought it would be kind of fun to find out what everyone is willing to give up and where if their waitlist comes through. I'll start...
Have a studio at AKL with a savannah view for the nights of Oct 16 and 17. If a 1br savannah view comes up we will drop those two nights in a studio.

We booked late (last week).
We have a studio at OKW for 9/24 - 9/27 (then we're leaving on the 7-day Magic).
We would like a studio or 1br at VWL, BCV, BWV or AKV for this trip.
They told us we can waitlist for all of them. I've never waitlisted before, so I have no idea what to expect.

It's just a waiting game to see if someone else cancels or moves to another resort.
I'm trying to get AKV or VWL for the 12/6 through 11 in a 1BR, but so far, just waiting.

We are willing to give up a 1 bdr. boardwalk view room at BWV for a standard 1 bdr. for our first night since we have the next 6 nights in a standard 1bdr.
I love the boardwalk views at BWV but it's going to be a pain in the rear to move after only one night.

We're waitlisted for one night in a standard studio at AKV, but the room we have booked for that night is on the hotel side, so it won't open up anything for another DVC member.

I'm waitlisted for a value studio at AKL for the night of 10/24-25. Right now I have a reservation for a studio at VWL that night. If my waitlist comes through, some one who's waiting for VWL will be happy.

I am patiently waiting for a studio for SSR the night of 10/12. I currently have a 1BR at SSR.

One of our days at AKL for a 1br came through. The 16th of Oct. Our studio was dropped for that date and quickly picked up by someone else. We are still waiting for the 17th to come through. Anyone else have any luck?

I'm waitlisted for a boardwalk view studio at BWV Oct 17-21 but I have a preferred view studio that I'd give up if the waitlist came through.
I'm also waitlisted for a 2BR SV for the night of Dec 2 at AKV but I have a one bedroom SV that I'd be giving up if the waitlist came through.
Right now I have nothing. :( I keep thinking I should be booking something, just in case. I have some time to make a decision. I am waitlisted for any studio for December 9-13. My other thought was to try for a 1BR. But I really, really don't want to stay in a 1BR-I don't need it and I don't want to use up the extra points. Argh! Decisions! Decisions! :headache:

Our 9/24-9/27 waitlist for the BWV came through. Yeah!
Now we have one night waitlisted for our big January trip - we have a studio at BWV and need BCV for one night (have the rest of hte nights and had no problem getting the 2bed).
First time I ever waitlisted anything - it was so cool to check and see that it came through!!:cool1:

Waitlisted for 10/1 to 10/3 at BWV or BCV (1 bedroom and studio) Nothing booked, but will probably go with Swan/Dolphin
Waitlisted for 1/9 to 1/12 for Concerige Studio at AKV. Have Savannah view booked.

I have a studio at SSR, and waitlisted for a studio at either BWV, or BCV for July 2 - 8. I have been waitlisted since March, and doubt very much it will come through at this time. :worried: Oh well, a week at WDW in SSR is far better than a week at home wishing I was there!

Does anyone know whether Disney cross references (not sure if thats the right word) their waitlists?
What I mean is:
Say Person A has a AKV Sav. Studio Reservation for 10/1 through 10/7 and is waitlisted for a 1 BR Sav. for the same time.
Person B, has a 1 BR Savah. for 10/1-10/7 and is waitlisted at the BWV for a 1 Br or Studio for the same time period.
Person C, has a Studio as BWV for 10/1-10/7 and is waitlisted for AKV Sav. Studio for same time period.
Would Disney see that everyone can get their waitlist simply by Switching A with B and then B (formally A's Reservation) with C?
I'm sure it wouldn't be this clearly cut but I'd imagine that they'd be able work this out.

I was wondering this too. I'm waitlisted for a value studio at AKL during the F&W. Meanwhile, I was able to snag a VWL studio for that time. I'd be surprised if no one's waitlisted for a VWL studio. Yet, I've got one and that's not what I want.

We are limited in what we can get due to our low number of points available but we have a 2 bedroom at OKW.
We would like a 2 bedroom value or standard at AKV.
I could have gotten a couple of rooms at AKV but we are traveling with my 70ish yo parents and did not want to deal with room hopping. I am actually looking forward to OKW because I have not stayed there before and we have been to AKV a few years ago.

I don't think Disney does "swaps" simply because it's probably not fair to the waitlist process.
Let's say I want BCV for 7/1 to 7/4 and am #1 on the waitlist with a reservation at BWV.
So you want the BWV for 7/1 to 7/4 and are number 4 on the waitlist with a BCV reservation. In front of you for the same dates is person A with an OKW, Person B with a SSR and person C with nothing. You would have to "jump" 1-3 to get the swap. IMHO that's not going to happen! If you are both number one then MAYBE it would be possible but what are the odds?

Good Point. But is this really any less fair then, in your example above, someone who is 7th on the list and needs BCV reservation for 7/2 through 7/4 and I cancel 7/2 through 7/4 at BCV and they skip you because your waitlist isn't complete and give it to the 7th person on the list? And then the next day someone cancels for the 7/1 reservation and you get nothing.
What would happen lets say that you want 7/1-7/4 and are #1 in the waitlist, the #2 wants 7/1-7/8 and #3 wants 7/5-7/8 (all the same accommodations). And two people cancel their reservations one for 7/1-7/3 and the 2nd for 7/4-7/8, they aren't related, just so happen to cancel on the same day. Would they give the rooms to #1 and #3 or #2? I'd imagine it would depend on whether they do a seach for the waitlist immediately after cancelation or at the end of the day.

OT, I have a Jan reservation for a st studio at AKV. Our 7 month window Will open soon, and we are thinking of seeing if a BWV st studio is available. Can I keep my AKV reservation and book the BWV if available? We have the points. In other words, instead of canceling the AKV reservation and risking that something may go wrong in the process of making the BWV one, I keep the AKV one intact until I get confirmation on the BWV. If I need to waitlist, can I just keep the AKV one and cancel that after I get the waitlist, if I get it?
