I'm not talking skinny dipping here!

"Orlando police are at Universal Studios this morning after reports of a black bear taking a dip in the pool of the Hard Rock Hotel."

"The bear is thought to be a juvenile bear between 65 and 85 pounds with large ears, Behnke said.

"He was described as small and lanky," she said."

This cracks me up!! Why would they describe the bear?? Hello!!!!! Its a BEAR! I can hear the phone call now :

guest : "Hello, I just saw a bear. I heard you were looking for it."
CSR : " can you describe the bear?"
guest : "Um, its big and furry"
CSR : "sorry but no, that's not the bear we are looking for. The one we are searching for is small and lanky with big ears. Please call back if you see it. Take it easy." *click*

Thanks for that really funny post. You had us both laughing out loud all the way over here in the North East of England.:rotfl: My son appreciated your humour especially as he is busy revising and on his break spotted your comments, so he enjoyed having a laugh.

We were staying at HRH that day and this is the first I have heard of it! Would have been nice to know I should have warned my kids to be on the lookout for "large wildlife"!

A happy ending . . . more or less . . .

The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission Sunday said the black bear that hung around the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando before being captured Saturday night is a 180-pound sub-adult male in good condition.

I will agree that his ears do tend rather towards the large. I'm not sure that I'd go with "lanky." Plus, it seems the weight estimate was WAY low -- like by 100 lbs. Please, sir, will you estimate MY weight? :rotfl2:
